Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT!⭐️ Slimmimg September 2025⭐️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Where did September go? There is a definite chill in the air some mornings now 🥶 I always feel when October is here it’s the start of the 12 week countdown to Christmas!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m mainly maintaining but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞(I briefly dipped into the 8’s last month but the scale showing 9st 1lb this morning)

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

You lucky thing @frostedshreddie I've been going grey since I was 21 🫣 and dyeing consistently since about 25 I think. I'm going to see how it goes with a bit of touch up spray and see how long I can hold out. My natural colour is really dull though, I wouldn't say the colour I dye it is wildly different it's just more vibrant! The dye makes it look better too- even though it's trashing it.
@socks1107 I wish I could leave it. My neighbour embraced the grey and looks amazing- even though it was gradual it never looked stripey or skunk-like! Had that perfect salt & pepper thing going. Mine just looks wiry, unkempt and lots of random white hairs. I could do with a proper chat with a colourist, even just to blend it rather than cover it.

Chicken, ham & leek pie topped with mash for dinner really hit the spot for 650cals. Desperately avoiding raiding the chocolate box now!

FridayNighFeeling · 17/10/2025 21:21

Felt really bloated this morning, but got on the scales and back to lowest - 17lbs off, but annoying that I'm back where I was a month ago. Though it's still roughly 1lb per week...

On the topic of going grey: I dyed when younger and not in need of it and haven't in my 30s or 40s. I am however reserving the right to change my mind. Maybe 10% grey.

Great stuff going on here all of you, Weekends are hard, so also trying to see if I can maintain my progress. Good few miles of walking planned tomorrow.

tryingtobesogood · 17/10/2025 21:55

Day 1 ✅

breakfast: 0% Greek yogurt with oats, fruit and seeds
lunch: spicy lentil soup and 1 slice seeded sourdough bread
sinner: salmon stir fry with noodles
snack: salt and vinegar rice cake things (going to stop this and have an apple in future)

pleased with the day. Not too many carbs but need to increase my protein

WearyAuldWumman · 17/10/2025 21:57

@TheRealHousewife That looks delicious!

Poisonwood · 17/10/2025 22:05

Good day here, got my bone density weight-lifting done before 8am and then really enjoyed my breakfast lol. I did have seconds of dinner (chicken and vegetable korma) but I didn’t have any rice or naan just some ryvitas.

Fellsbells · 18/10/2025 08:04

Happy Saturday everyone.
Nearly back to where I want to be so I’m optimistic about the zip fastening on my dress tonight.

frostedshreddie · 18/10/2025 10:21

Grey hair is all the rage now right 💁🏻‍♀️

20 min dumbbell workout completed this morning
Breakfast was:
2 slices of GF sourdough, avocado, 2 eggs, and some berries. Swapped my usual coffee for a green matcha tea.

Lunch I am planning chicken pitta again.
Possible carbonara for dinner...or maybe green Thai curry.

Poorly kids in this house, so everyone had a rubbish night sleep!! Lots of rest today!
Happy Weekend! Xx

biscuitcat · 18/10/2025 13:37

Good luck @Fellsbells - I’m sending svelte thoughts your way!!

I had a banana for breakfast while DS was in his swimming lesson then quiche for lunch - and very much looking forward to date night dinner out at the fancy pants Indian restaurant near us. I was very pregnant last time we were there so I’m excited for a cocktail or a glass of wine with dinner!

WearyAuldWumman · 18/10/2025 14:56

Weight is the same.

However, I tried on a pair of M&S size 20 fitted dress trousers. Previously, the waist was too small, though the rest fitted. (As I've moaned on here umpteen times, I'm carrying a humungous amount of fat on my belly.)

I was able to pull them on without removing my jogging bottoms. The waist now zips up and fastens comfortably, but the bum, thighs and legs just hang on me. That's another one for the for the charity shop. There's a pair of Windsmoor trousers going out too - they're big all over.

Vapeaddict · 18/10/2025 15:09

Good luck @Fellsbells and have fun tonight. You too @biscuitcat enjoy your drink this time! We're also having curry this evening, it's bubbling away in the oven and tormenting me 😅 homemade so I'm clueless on the calories really. I went easy on the ghee but looking forward to shopping it up with a chapati or two!

I just had a massive wardrobe clear out too @WearyAuldWumman it's nice when things go because they're too big! Most of my stuff was either unflattering or I hated it for another reason! But it's nice to look in there and just find stuff I like now.

Fellsbells · 18/10/2025 15:26

The problem with having a body that bloats up sometimes, is sometimes big and sometimes small is that despite having clothes in 4 different sizes I still can’t find something to put on for tonight! Argh!

Emmadaily · 18/10/2025 15:49

Hi everyone

Some good posts here with success and happier people ☺
Well done to all.
I went Slimming World this morning and 1 pound off so that's 20 pounds off with 4 to go for my goal.
Was pleased with my weigh in earlier .
Tonight's tea is
Peach wedges with tomatoes ,onion ,lettuce , cucumber, celery and lean chilli grated cheese with SW chips
Pudding strawberries and Aldi protein no fat yoghurt
Looking forward to 5 pm when tuck in.
Wrote a food plan for next week but not tomorrow so will see what I fancy tomorrow
Hoping for another little weight loss next Saturday so we will see

Good luck to every one and have a great weekend xx

PersistentRain · 18/10/2025 16:14

Up again this morning, hopefully all water. Had a piece of toast this afternoon as the hunger was getting to me first time I’ve done that in months. Today is my full test day, back to the gym tomorrow.

Determinedloser · 18/10/2025 16:21

Fallen off the wagon since my break and it’s rolling away from me.

Must read through the thread, do a food shop and get my head back in the game. Hope you are all well!

Marshmellowbunny · 18/10/2025 17:12

Good luck @Fellsbells and have a good night tonight!

I was up a bit today, but still under 10 so that's a little win. I've kinda gone off the rails a bit today food wise 🙈 am I allowed to blame the medication? I'm not able to drink, so I'm eating instead. Terrible.

Poisonwood · 18/10/2025 20:16

Nice day today. Yoghurt/almonds/berries for breakfast, lunch out and very sensibly and in control had soup and a wee bit of unbutteted bread and a pot of tea. Dinner has just been a protein shake and some ryvita and cheese spread, I’ve been very busy but I will add more vegetables tomorrow!
Did a good hour of yoga and a 30 min meditation, and 30 min weights. Do need to drink more.

TC2023 · 18/10/2025 20:28

I was exactly the same weight today as I was on Wednesday, at least I wasn’t up I suppose 🙈

breakfast: fruit smoothie
lunch: curry & rice
dinner: eggs & toast
snack: pain au chocolate 🙈😬

not the worst day food wise but defo didn’t need the pastry! My willpower is so bad, how do you say no to things when out or in a friends house? Any tips??

LemonDrizzle23 · 18/10/2025 21:13

Lots of tasty sounding food! We also went down the chicken, bacon and leek route this evening, although topped with a savoury cheese crumble. It was delicious!

Still haven’t braved the scales since my week in bed. However I think I’m mostly sticking to my calories. Did my first pilates work out for erm probably the whole of 2025 today, and god am I feeling it 😂

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 18/10/2025 22:54

Hi everyone, I’m back from my holiday! I don’t think I ate too badly while I was away, but there was wine every day… I will WOW and see where I’m at.

i picked up the greys chat on a quick skim catch up. I have dark auburn hair, tons of grey, I go to the hairdresser to get my roots done every 5 weeks, use the touch up powder for the last two weeks. My hairdresser uses a semi permanent, but occasionally like this time it just doesn’t take. I have no idea what I will do when I need to re-think my options. My grey is a dirty wiry grey and lighter colours just work with my pale blue tinged Celtic skin.

Marshmellowbunny · 19/10/2025 07:39

Thank you for the support @FridayNighFeelingI saw it and it made me put down the snacks 🩷 so it's not as bad as it could have been.

I weighed just now and I'm still under 10...just. I'm like 9,13.6. 🙈😂 I've put on a lb this week though!
Hopefully I can get it off again.
Lots of vegetable eating today. So we will see where I'm at by WOW.

@TC2023I also find if so hard around people. I've found just having a bit of whatever it is helps. It stops people drawing attention to the fact I'm not eating and fulfills the craving I get! I don't know if that would work for you?

Workingmammabear · 19/10/2025 07:51

Hi all I'm new to this but looking for a bit of support. I'm 12 weeks postpartum and 1.5 stone heavier than pre baby. I don't really know what my heathy weight is anymore. This is my second baby and my body is so different nowadays! I'd like to get to a size 10 again, and feel fit, toned and strong like I did pre babies. I work with a PT once or twice a week, but struggle with meals so hopefully can find inspiration on here :)

HappyLittleTreeFriend · 19/10/2025 08:21

Hi @Workingmammabear😊👋 congrats on baby 2 - I find this thread great for meals inspo, I’m sure you’ll find some good ideas 😊😊💜💜 if you’re breastfeeding though obvs be careful about being in a calorie deficit - I was one of those lucky people for who breastfeeding meant I lost loads of weight, it was after I stopped that I started gaining, so I don’t know much about weight loss when nursing but if you are hopefully someone else on the thread will have good advice 😊😊💜💜

HappyLittleTreeFriend · 19/10/2025 08:24

Oh and my meals for today -

L: slice of crustless cheese and onion quiche and salad
D: King prawns and green Thai lentil curry with a fried egg
Snacks: Coffees with oat milk and sugar, maybe a slice of peanut butter and jam toast later 😊💜

biscuitcat · 19/10/2025 08:40

@TC2023 - that doesn’t sound too bad at all! I find being honest that I’m wanting to lose weight is the easiest way for me to turn food down when out and about, and my family and friends largely know I am which makes it easier as no one is expecting it of me now!

I weighed in this morning and am 400g up on yesterday, but even at the very high end guess of my dinner out calories I ate around maintenance yesterday so I imagine that’s water retention from all the salt that makes restaurant food taste so good! (And the wine and cocktail…). Hopefully see a little whoosh down before Wednesday.

Today’s menu:

B - Greek yoghurt with cinnamon apples
L - probably eggs, otherwise avocado and tomato on toast
D - homemade pizzas (I usually top mine with spinach, ricotta, and onions agrodolce, heaven 😍) - if anyone is after a good shortcut, the Crosta and Mollica bases with tomato sauce are delicious, UPF free, and about 300 calories for half a pizza (plus toppings), so with lots of veg and protein on top make a great meal that feels treat-y.

Alwayslearning25 · 19/10/2025 09:08

Ok.
So not feeling great. Head all fuzzy, not sure if I'm physically or mentally ill right now, just worn out. Very mild cold symptoms too.

I'm working until 3pm, but a Sunday shift is not normally too hectic.

I've opened my diary for next week and have a reminder sticker I gave myself to 'workout. Eat well. Be patient.'

I haven't brought lunch, have crisps in my locker. I had breakfast of wheatabix, bran flakes, about 5 hazelnuts and a dried apricot with semi skimmed milk. I want Macdonald's for lunch, which if close enough to get on a break. The other option is a convenience store or Waitrose until after my shift to eat. This week I have skipped lunch a couple of times and snacked instead and I don't think I've done myself any favours. I'd like to do c25k after work so....I don't want to be eating immediately before, so I'm still leaning towards getting MacDonalds.
