Has anyone tried berberine supplements?

Meant to help with blood sugar control and weight loss. Has anyone had success with them? Did you have any side effects?

I lost 12 pounds in one month of Berberine, along with 18 to 20 hour fasts
It does impact people differently - take it exactly as prescribed before meals and if you can fast and walk, even better
