This time last year I was 11stone 10
Looked bloated and size 12 looked tight
I've got down to 9 stone 4lb but not sure if a few pounds more would be better
What do you weight at 5ft 7?

10st5, not overweight but would like to lose a little. Carrying too much weight on my tummy.

Around 9st7 is good for me. I have a very small frame - I was 8st12 at university age and looking back I looked like a lollipop!

Well done on the loss.

StamppotAndGravy · 16/06/2024 11:04

I'm 10st2 but I've got a large frame and am muscular. At 9st6 you'd be able to see all my ribs clearly and I would be struggling for energy. If your frame is smaller, you might be able to lose more, but toning up would probably have a better effect on your appearance, otherwise you'll just be skinny-fat

drawnfrommemory · 16/06/2024 11:13

Too much at the moment.

Back in the day when I was a more normal size, my natural resting weight for years was 10st 13 - put on half a stone and I was noticeably chubby, go down to 10st 4 (which was the lowest I ever managed) and I looked great, but struggled to maintain.

lljkk · 16/06/2024 11:13

I'm almost 5'8" & about 62 kg.

I imagine you're best to focus on fitness & energy levels now, OP, not scale numbers.

Parker231 · 16/06/2024 11:16

Currently 9’10 but better at 10st. Any lower and I look gaunt.

flipflopsandsun · 16/06/2024 11:18

I'm 12 stone and a size 12/14 but I need to lose weight. Up until the age of 35 I weighed between 8 and 9 stone and I looked good at that weight, size 8/10

I’m short but my friend who is on a weight loss journey with me is 5ft 7. She was 15 stone and is now 11.5 stone (I think!) and I know she wants to lose one more stone. I’ve known her at different weights and she would look too thin if she lost much more than that.

It’s interesting how two people of the same height can look so different at a particular weight. This is partly why I take BMI with a pinch of salt.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 16/06/2024 11:36

I am 5’7, I was 12.1 last year but have dieted to around 10.10-10.13, I’m a size 10. I’m quite muscular and my top half is quite small, I’d love to be nearer the low tens. However I’ve never been under 10 in my whole adult life, except for one week post Covid where I was 9.13 and i looked very very thin.

champagneplanet · 16/06/2024 11:52

11st 6oz at present, would at least like get down to 11st, I feel a bit chunky. Size 14 on the bottom and 12 on the top. I like food and wine too much.

Well done with your weight loss though. How did you do it? Asking for a friend 😉

DuesToTheDirt · 16/06/2024 12:00

9'10 first thing in the morning with no clothes. It's OK but I have some fat I'd like to shift. 9'4 is perfect for me.

I'm flabby at the moment though, obviously a toned body weighs different and also makes you look better.

Foxblue · 16/06/2024 12:16

10 stone 2, in good shape from weightlifting with a broad frame. Got down to 9 stone 6 after a covid infection and was honestly horrified, but it would have been different if I had done it with healthy eating and exercise I guess. Size 12 top, size 10 on bottom

LettersOfTheAlphabet · 16/06/2024 12:21

11 stone exactly. Size 14. Isn't it funny how at the same heights and weights we are different clothing sizes? My happy weight is 10st5lb and I'm a size 12 at that. Need to be closer to 10stones to be a size 10.

A very unhappy 14 stone atm. Cheers menopause - 2 stone since my hysterectomy. 11 1/2 is perfect for me. Lowest I've been is 10 as an adult and the general consensus was that I looked ill. At 11 1/2 I'm a size 10-12 and very happy with that. I look fat and puffy and feel extremely unfit as I am currently.

SnobblyBobbly · 16/06/2024 12:32

12 stone. I used to be around 10.5/11 and was happy with that but I've been pushed into early menopause because of some meds I need to take which has totally messed with my metabolism.

I'm going to meet myself halfway with it and make some efforts to lose it, but accept the change at the same time because the meds are doing great otherwise so things could be worse.

Toddlerteaplease · 16/06/2024 12:33

14st 3.

shearwater2 · 16/06/2024 12:38

12 st 12lbs - measurements 37" 29" 38" - size 12. I'd like to be 11st but I've not seen that since 2006. I am fit though. The most I've weighed was 14st 7lbs in 2016. The least I've weighed as an adult was 8st 7lbs in 1999, I was a size 6.

Alainlechat · 16/06/2024 12:39

11st 8 having reduced from 13:12 in Feb. Size 14s are quite big so probably close to a 12.

I have previously been down to 10 but at that weight my head looks big for my body and my boobs are not great either.

Aiming for around 11:2 but also being fit at that weight. Have started weights and running this year.

Honestly a feel quite good about myself now but appreciate slimming down to this weight feels a lot better than gaining up to it.

I'm the exact same.

I'm happy enough if I'm 10 stone or below, ideal is about 9st 8.

Don't like to go over 10 so I know I have a few pounds to lose at the moment.

OP you've done great, 9st 4 is healthy and if you feel comfortable at that just maintain it.

I was just thinking the same. 4 months ago I was 10st 13 and couldn't do up size 14 jeans. Now down to 9st 6 and size 12 is loose but I probably need to lose another 4-6 lbs if I want to get into a 10. Small frame, not blessed in the breast department and carry weight around my middle.

QueenMabby · 16/06/2024 16:47

I've not weighed for a while. Am about 9st 5lb ish. I was 10st 4lb for most of my adult life but am happier at this weight (I'm 48). I was under 9st for a few years in my early forties (about 8st 10lb) but looking back this was too light and I looked gaunt in photos. I've been smaller at this weight when I was doing more resistance training. I'm not exercising much at the moment so could do with losing a couple of pounds. I'd be happier at 9st I think. I'm an 8-10. I'm not delicate of frame. Dinosaur bones here!

Linearforeignbody · 16/06/2024 16:50

13 stone
I look best at 11. Any lighter and my face looks haggard. Mid 50s, heavy set with broad shoulders

mamaison · 16/06/2024 17:04

58kg which I think is 9st 3.

It really is more about composition and build I think.

I carry in my tummy so don’t look good or fit trousers any larger. That being said, I have been slimmer at this weight. More exercise with less carbs and more protein helps my shape.

I probably wouldn’t lose much for the sake of it if I were you.

I am not trying to lose weight at the moment but I am trying to improve my health and shape by gaining muscle. So I wouldn’t be chasing a calorie deficit or a loss on the scales.

ffsgloria · 16/06/2024 17:31

I am 10.10. Quite muscular, very physically active, broad shouldered, wide hips, size 10. If I go any lower than 10.4 I look too thin.
