Any big losers up for it?! I did it on here back in the day and we had a really supportive thread going that massively helped.

Sadly medication and bereavements have seen most of mine go back on and it needs to come off again so here I am. I’m 18lbs down since my highest point last time and want a good run up to Christmas to go into 2024.

Would be great to be joined by others in the same boat so we can get the weight off and crack keeping it off once and for all.

@RainbowandStars thank you. That all sounds very positive, small steps are brilliant as over time they all add up. I’m logging my food and feel much more in control.

1lb on for me this week but am not going to worry as have logged everything and have a 5400 cal deficit for the week and think it has something to do with an unexpected loss of 4lbs last week and body sorting itself out. Or my scales are shit which is a possibility!

How is everyone?

I’ve lost just under a stone since mid
Nov ( I always lose a lot initially). I’m down to 16st 9 but now things have settled so I’m likely to see a max of a lb or two loss a week from here on in. This is the hard part for me being patient and taking things slow and steady but it’s the only way! I’m eating a lot of tomato and lentil soup as I find it filling and I have pmt which makes me really hungry! Also made a good bolognaise yesterday with loads of veg … paired it with a portion of Taste the difference cous cous rather than pasta and it was delicious! Hope everyone is having a good week.

Seaitoverthere · 06/12/2023 06:17

@Cocteautriplet that is absolutely brilliant, a huge well done.

I went to see orthopaedics yesterday and was really disheartened to have lost 1kg on their scales compared to the scales at rheumatology a month ago. My scales at home are saying I have lost 3kg.

Saw the most lovely consultant who has had his own struggle with weight and recommended looking at Zoe. As it happens I have a Libre sensor coming at the weekend as I think I am becoming insulin resistant so will be interesting to see what is going on.

i need a hip replacement as my hip is bone on bone. Before he saw X-ray he said would be good to get through another 4 years if I could as then would be at the age where less likely to need a revision but after he saw X-ray he said forget that, needs doing .

Am going to wait 3 months, work on my weight and have physio to get in best shape possible for the op then he will ring and at that point I will go on the list which is apparently shorter these days and he has been surprised at how quickly people can have the op. It was a bit of a toss up as to whether I went on the list now but I think I am happier with 3 months time .

3kg gets me to weight where op can be done, I would like to be lighter really. I think I have been very lucky to getting to 50 plus before needing to get it done really. It’s all a bit daunting but I have practically no mobility now and am in a lot of pain so hopefully brighter days ahead.

Hey 100lb-club - I just did it. 100lb off since Easter 2023. Got around another 20lb to go to target. How's everyone doing?! Did you survive Christmas?

Seaitoverthere · 18/01/2024 07:20

@chalkyc2 a huge well done, how brilliant!.

I’m keeping at it. Had weigh in at GP a week ago and was 9.5kg lighter than hospital appointment at start of November so I’m pleased with that .

That's great @Seaitoverthere - good effort. Not the easiest of seasons for dedicated weight loss!

Seaitoverthere · 18/01/2024 07:34

Thanks ! Just got to keep plugging away at it.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi everyone. Sorry for not being on this thread much.

I have since January 3rd been trying to address my weight issues. So far I have lost 9 lbs. I am keeping at it. I have a family event in September and want to feel good about myself for that.

Well done to everyone who is losing weight. To those struggling, keep going, it's ok to find things difficult 😁

BusinessSecretsOfThePharaoh · 18/01/2024 19:08

Can I join?

I started in August, using Ozempic. Currently 57lbs down and aiming for about the same again.

Ozempic has been a godsend for me and I’m finding it all relatively manageable so far, and generally feeling much better about myself than I have in years.

Seaitoverthere · 18/01/2024 19:58

Welcome @BusinessSecretsOfThePharaoh , that’s a great loss.

@Motnight pleased this year is going well. September seems so far away at the moment doesn’t it but I bet it comes around alarming quickly.
