So, I need to get back to it! Anyone want to join me?!

Current weight : who knows?! I'm too scared to check! Prob mid-high 13s

Goal weight 11st 8lbs! (& a slightly flatter stomach if I can!)

I'd love to join you although I started today.

I'm at my heaviest, recent separation from long term partner and have been comfort eating and drinking toi much wine.

I've opted for Ozempic, had my first injection last night. I'm on a day shift today (Nurse) and feel starving. Been thinking about tood all day 😕

AnotherCountryMummy · 20/08/2023 17:10

Yes please! I'm the fattest I've ever been. Last roast with the family now, before shredding (hopefully) from tomorrow.

RuLu · 20/08/2023 18:23

My friend was considering Ozempic. You'll have to keep us posted, I'm keen to try it but don't know much about it yet.

I did plan to start today but ruined that so tomorrow it is!!

I'm thinking about doing an egg fast! I'm definitely planning on ditching the wine!!

hickone · 20/08/2023 20:12

I started a couple of days ago.
Current weight 12 stone 9, goal weight 11 stone.

anxiousatnight · 21/08/2023 05:43

Hey, I'll join you.

Weighed myself this morning - 14 stone 6lbs Confused

My weight is making me feel so depressed. I've basically been on a diet for the last 3 years and yet I'm the heaviest I've ever been.

I want to get down to 12 stone.

I don't know what to do anymore. I've done SW really successfully 3 times, but now I just can't seem to stick to it.

I've taken Saxenda, which has good short term effects, but it's expensive and makes me so tired. It's also out of stock everywhere now. I could try one of the others, but I'm not sure they will be any different.

I'll probably sign up to a 12 week SW countdown tomorrow and really try to make a go of it.

anxiousatnight · 21/08/2023 06:03

Just worked out that if I start at SW tomorrow and loose 2lb a week, I'll be at my target weight by Christmas. Doable, right?

RuLu · 21/08/2023 07:36

Yes, definitely doable!!

I'm getting back on Keto. 2 years ago I lost 3 stone in 5 months & felt great!

I have been looking at recipes on carb manager & I'd forgotten how much choice there is! I've ordered Keto Granola & chocolate from Amazon!
Lots of water, 2 cans of Diet Coke or Pepsi Max per day as a treat!

My meds are actually an appetite suppressant so who knows what I've been doing wrong the past few months?!

Let's do this!!!!!

How has everyone's day been?

Mine's been good. Fruit for breakfast, soup and wholemeal roll for lunch, chilli with small portion of rice for tea. Small bowl of strawberries, sorbet and mini meringues for pudding. Half an hour walk after tea. Been on a day out with the kids today, so did plenty of walking.

Joining up at Slimming World tomorrow.

RuLu · 21/08/2023 23:24

Well done!

Mine has been pretty good & my Keto Amazon order arrived this evening so hoping I can stick to it!

Please can I join.

I need to sort myself out.

recklessgran · 22/08/2023 00:15

Me too. PLease can I join? Heaviest I've ever been, old, fat, underactive thyroid [medicated] and lazy to boot. Those are all my [sort of] valid excuses but I need to get my act together. None of my clothes fit and like @RuLu I did well and lost almost 3 stone on Keto a couple of years ago so I know it can be done. I've put it all back on - and more. I need to get motivated so perhaps this thread will help me to be accountable.
Will weigh first thing and report my start weight.

recklessgran · 22/08/2023 07:37

Weigh in this morning - my heaviest ever at 14st 11lbs.
My plan is to slide in to full Keto mode by Monday combined with IF so for today it's 16:8, [so my eating window will be midday-8pm], lowish carb, drinking more water to aid fat burning and as I'm a terrible snacker trying for 2 snacks max but must be healthy. That will be more than enough to start with. Will see how that goes before I add in anything else!!

[e.g. NO snacking and some exercise]

hickone · 22/08/2023 09:04

I'm trying to get more steps in, last two days I've got up early and been for 6km walks. Trying to snack less and eating lower calorie meals. I have a dress to wear for a wedding on Saturday that is currently a bit tight so hoping to lose a couple of pounds by then

anxiousatnight · 22/08/2023 14:23

Joined up at SW this morning, the leader seems good so that's made me feel positive.

Enjoying a day on the beach today, and probably the same tomorrow as the weather looks good. Won't get many steps in, so will get out for a walk again tonight and tomorrow night.

anxiousatnight · 22/08/2023 14:25

Got this as my beach reading!

12 weeks starting tomorrow!
RuLu · 22/08/2023 14:56

The more the merrier!! Hopefully we can motivate each other!

13st 10.8lbs this morning!Shock

I wonder if you'd mind me joining?

I'm not very overweight, 11.1 with interim goal of 10.7 (this is when my clothes fit nicely) and aiming for final weight of 10.3.

After literally years of trying to lose the last half stone I managed it really easily last year and spent 6 blissful months there then it has crept back on 1lb a month. I'm peri menopausal and finding any motivation is tough.

My preferred method is daily fasting with a short eating period each day. I find I'm not really hungry doing this and can eat pretty unrestricted during the window.

I weigh myself daily and am going to take body measurements tomorrow too.

recklessgran · 23/08/2023 08:09

Morning. Day one went O.K. until the evening but still feel that I've made a start.
Tuna mayo salad for lunch and a small piece of cheese as a snack mid afternoon. Vegetable soup and a small chicken salad for dinner,
Then I ruined it with a bag of Maltesers and a chocolate digestive.
Try again today. Lovely to see the group getting bigger. Hope everyone's doing O.K. @anxiousatnight I love your beach reading. I wonder if I should invest in that book - it looks interesting - I had a peek on Amazon.

NeverGuessWho · 23/08/2023 08:14

I'm in. I will start today but I'm not even sure which plan to follow.

It was my intention to start tomorrow but having read through the first few posts of this thread, I've decided to start today.

Good luck everyone!

eatsleepfarmrepeat · 23/08/2023 08:17

Morning, please can I join. I’m miserable, chasing the same 3lbs around all summer.

I know my vices - too much social wines, not enough movement, late night carbs once the kids are in bed.

im going to rejoin slimming world on Friday but in the meantime, proteins and veg, no alcohol, no jazzy take out coffees.

starting weight this morning - 12st3lbs.
target weight 10st6lbs

hickone · 23/08/2023 08:34

So I've been on 3 walks so far and my body is aching all over. Feeling old.

Got a wedding to go to this weekend, going to try and avoid the wine. I have to be consistent this time and really stick to it if I want to see results.

SlowlyLosing · 23/08/2023 11:21

OK so yesterday was day 1 for me and went well because I was busy. Ate in a 4 hour period, I dont fuss much over how much I eat so long as it covers the nutritional bases.

I weigh myself every day. It goes up and down by up to 3lb so I find it easier to measure daily and use a trend. Today 10.13
Wanted to do measurements but can't find tape measure!

14 hours into my fast. Friends suggested going out for lunch so trying to decide whether that works for me - means shorter fast today and more than 24 hours til tomorrow's dinner.
