Morning ladies, here is the new thread for August. I don't have any particular aims myself, but aiming to get into some better on the move eating habits when I get back from my holiday (going Sunday). Ironically, think I will actually eat better on holiday cause its AI and all there. Starting weight this month 9st2, have been slightly less but v bloated after pizza, cake etc today.

Thanks for the new thread! I am here for this! Weirdly since weighing in so low on Monday, I have gained every day since. I'm not sure why as Monday and Tuesday I ate well. I'm not worried though, I think it's just one of those random things!

I'd like to keep going as I am, and lose a couple more kg in August. I'm freaking out a bit at the moment as I went to the GP for something the other day, and she was asking questions about diabetes, including have I lost weight. I don't think she thinks I have diabetes, and I don't think I do. But got a blood test to check. I'm sure it'll be fine anyway.

Morning ladies! How are you?
I can’t believe it’s already August and we’re two weeks into the summer holidays!
Weighed this morning and am 10st13lbs which I’m delighted with! We’ve been away on holiday so was expecting to have put on weight. I think I lost 2/3lbs during July which I’m happy with. I’m trying to use the summer holidays to get myself together, I don’t want to get back to the school run in September feeling a frumpy mess which is how I felt all of last year!
Hope you have a great weekend

Wow. well done @LBB2020, hope you had a good holiday. We are off to Turkey tomorrow. I've decided that I need to prioritise eating well when I get back (and to an extent when I'm on holiday) for health reasons as much as anything. Not had any health scares but at the moment I'm almost thinking if something goes wrong, it will almost serve me right for prioritising everything else first. I've been looking at the glucose goddess method, but will investigate further when we get back.

We had a great time away thank you @Octopus45, was a very much needed break! I can’t quite believe DS1 has done a whole year of “big school”, the time really flies!
How lovely, I hope you have a wonderful holiday.
I recently started following the glucose goddess on instagram, a lot is similar to how I ate when pregnant with DS2 (I had gestational diabetes). The science is very interesting! I need to try to start changing my eating habits.

Hi ladies, thought I would check in and see how everyone's doing. Got back from holiday early Monday morning, had a good time, although I think think we might have to tweak things a bit if we go on holiday next year, cause holidaying with two teenagers is a different ball game, first time abroad since pre covid.

The food was healthy on holiday (although I did eat a lot of baklava), but unfortunately it upset my stomach a bit. I'm about a pound down from when I went away. I did intent do start the glucose goddess way of eating when I got home, but I'm having to go slowly cause of my stomach. I had some greek yoghurt with a few berries, followed by a small handful of almonds this morning so I'll see how that goes.

Hope everyone is ok

Morning @Octopus45, I have been absolutely terrible at keeping up with this thread! School summer holidays in full swing and I’ve not had chance to think about much else around juggling the children and work!
I have been trying to be mindful of what I’m eating but there has definitely been a few too many ice creams and cakes/biscuits!
Hope everyone is doing well x

Hi ladies, hope everyone is ok and enjoying the bank holiday weekend. I've had a horrible gastric/flu bug so I've lost 5 pounds since Wednesday. Pretty grim not a weight loss method I'd recommend. I'd also taken an apple vinegar tablet before it started, needless to say its put me right off that, although I might still do some of the other glucose goddess hacks when I feel better. Right now, I'm just starting to eat very plain things. Gutted, missed celebrating my Son's GCSE results properly, was meant to be going away to see family for my nephew;s 18th and meeting a uni friend. Nevermind, luckily on the mens now.
