2 inches all over

My wedding dress has come in and it's about 2 inches too small all over, so 2 at the bust, 2 at hips and 2 at the waist.

I have 9 weeks till first fitting and 17 till the wedding.

How realistic is it to achieve this? 2 inches each place sounds like it shouldn't be too difficult?

I've not particularly noticed a difference yet but I think I am going in the right direction.

Great! What's your diet like? Did you change much in terms of what you were eating?

navithefairy · 26/07/2023 13:53

Tbh I would not try because it's too much pressure. Your wedding dress should fit you and not be a massive source of stress leading up to the day - you'll have enough of that on your plate.

ABugWife · 26/07/2023 13:58

Not really changed much, just stopped eating junk like sweets and cakes and nachos.
I am no nutritionist and have no knowledge of diets or any science etc, I generally have;

Protein porridge with nuts or berries for breakfast (300 cal)
Banana for morning snack although I haven't needed this everyday (100 cal)
Tuna Salad or hummus, eggs, carrot sticks chicken pieces or a Bol Soup or Eggs on Toast for lunch (300-400 cals)
snack a jacks or similar for early afternoon snack (100 cals)
Protein yogurt for mid late afternoon snack (100 cals)

then chicken or salmon or steak with vegetables and a small portion of rice/potatoes/wrap/chips for dinner. (600 cals)

Milk for coffees (200 cals)

So far so good @ABugWife you're going great!

TheGoodBanana · 31/07/2023 18:12

I'm coming in at 8st 8lb now.

Bust and waist are fine perfect measurements (according to the website. Hips are still an inch and a half too big.

I'm 88-72-94 need to be 88-72-90.

Still a few weeks to go.

TheGoodBanana · 24/09/2023 07:50

I went to the seamstress just over a week ago and the measurement of the dress on the website were wrong!

So the dress fits to the waist where I need to still loose just over half and inch and I need two off the bust!

Since I hardly have a bust to speak of as it is I doubt that is doable but the waist inch I can do!

I go back in 2.5 weeks as a final decision deadline, she said she can let it out so not to worry if I haven't lost it.

I had given up dieting before I went and decided I was having it taken out but seeing how close I am has spurred me back on!

So I orginally was working to;

H - 35.5
W - 28.5
B - 34

The dress actually measures

H - 36
W - 26
B - 31

And I am currently after a week and a half back on the diet;

H - 36
W - 26.5
B - 34

No chance on the bust but I can shift that little half off my waist!

Wow well done OP, you've done amazingly well (and always really nice when an OP updates!!)
What diet have you been following?

TheGoodBanana · 24/09/2023 13:56

Just calorie counting, I try to eat more protein for muscle repair but not in any kind of plan.

I will update again in a couple of weeks when I go back to the seamstress.

TennisWithDeborah · 25/09/2023 18:45

The dress is fab. I really hope you get to wear it.
