Hi ladies, here is the new thread. Thought I would start off in an optimistic vein.

No huge aims this month, more water, a bit healthier. I like the idea of trying some youtube pilate and yoga videos. I do want to tone up a bit cause planning a holiday in the Summer, but dont have time or funds for the gym.

Hi, how's everyone getting on. I seem to be a pound up, putting it down to time of the month and a day with hardly any steps due to the awful weather. Roll on Spring.

Yeah the weather is awful! So frustrating - I was hoping to get lots of walks in.

My official weigh in day is tomorrow. I have weighed a few times between, and been a bit up and down, so I don't know how it's going to go. Not that a few hundred grams matters either way, I know I've been eating fine so any gains will be the normal fluctuations based on hormones and exercise and things.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/01/2023 11:51

Happy Friday! I'm keeping up the exercise, and started dry-ish January on Sunday (late because I was off work until Monday). I've been sleeping really, really badly all week so have probably been reaching for sugary snacks a little too much.

LBB2020 · 13/01/2023 12:08

Hello! First full week back in routine (work/school etc), it’s been a struggle!
I've hit my steps most days and have been drinking more water (still not enough!). Food has been ok but not great, I’ve not snacked so much in the evenings but definitely room for improvement! Also, definitely need to exercise more!
Hope everyone is well

ScottishBeth · 13/01/2023 13:25

@Judystilldreamsofhorses dry-ish January is better than nothing! My January is probably going to look pretty soggy.

80.9 this morning. A loss, but only a tiny one. I'm a bit disappointed, but just need to keep trusting the process. Our bodies are more complicated than a simple calorie assessment would have. Might be holding onto water or something.

I've got a couple of fairly indulgent meals over the weekend. And in fact have a chocolate muffin sat in front of me! But I'll stick to the rest of the plan and trust that it'll come off!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Octopus45 · 16/01/2023 08:30

Well done @ScottishBeth

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Didn't do well with steps yesterday cause I had a WFH/housework day. I'm going on a surprise day somewhere with my friend today, think I know what it will be, but not 100% sure. Have been eating too much partly cause of the cold etc, but aiming to do better this week.

LBB2020 · 17/01/2023 08:53

Morning, hope you enjoyed your surprise day out @Octopus45
Yesterday wasn’t the best start to the week but today is another day! DH is out tonight so I’m planning to do an exercise video once the DC are in bed

ScottishBeth · 17/01/2023 10:06

@Octopus45 a surprise day out sounds so fun! Hope it was a good one.

@LBB2020 hope today goes on track for you. An exercise video in the evening is real commitment!

My week is going well - have been eating to plan so I'm pleased. I'm out for a meal Thursday evening so I'm going to weigh in on Thursday morning.

ScottishBeth · 19/01/2023 11:40

After a disappointing loss last week (only 200g!) I weighed in at 79.5kg this morning! Which is a 1.4kg loss! I am delighted!

This is the first time I've been under 80kg in years, I suspect. Also my BMI is under 30! I am delighted!

My next goal is to get to 77.7kg, when I will have lost 5% of my starting weight.

LBB2020 · 19/01/2023 18:42

Brilliant, well done @ScottishBeth!

timmothysmith01 · 20/01/2023 14:58

I think I'm very lazy to do exercise and anything that I personally benefit from me I can't do anything for myself

Octopus45 · 21/01/2023 09:30

Having lots of problems with my WiFi at the moment (long story), haven't done too badly this week, partly cause I've got a lurgy. My surprise day out was lovely and involved a tasty afternoon tea.

OP posts:
Octopus45 · 28/01/2023 12:13

How is everyone doing? Finally managed to connect to my hotspot successfully. Still lurgied unfortunately, trying to eat a bit more healthily. Weighed 9st0.5 yesterday morning. Also managed 20,000 steps yesterday which is a firsst.

OP posts:
ScottishBeth · 28/01/2023 14:33

What were you doing to walk 20,000 steps? That is so impressive!

I was 78.9kg this week - very pleased again!

What is your goal @Octopus45

LBB2020 · 28/01/2023 23:17

I’ve been rubbish at updating and keeping up with the thread this month! Hope everyone is doing well and January has been kind to you all! I’ll weigh in on Feb 1st but can’t imagine this month has been very successful in all honesty!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/01/2023 00:39

Hello hello. I’ve kept up my exercise “pillars” all month - at least 10,000 steps, yoga, and a workout every day. No weighing still, but my legs look snatch as they say on TikTok! Hope everyone is doing okay ❤️

Octopus45 · 31/01/2023 09:02

@Judystilldreamsofhorses that sounds impressive. Are you doing both yoga and another exercise every day?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 31/01/2023 23:25

@ScottishBeth i do a YouTube workout (I like Get Fit with Rick or Dance With Deepthi), yoga, and 10k steps. It started with a TikTok challenge in November and I just kept going. I even did my workout on Christmas/new year’s day!

ScottishBeth · 01/02/2023 08:13

@Judystilldreamsofhorses that is impressive! I've been doing daily yoga. And some days I do other exercise as well, or go for a walk. But now way could I commit to all of those every day!
