Hi ladies,

Here is the new thread. I am going away to Selsey till Friday, then up North from Saturday till Monday (unless there is an emergency whilst I am away).

Weighed in at 9st1.75 this morning, a bit of a rise, tbh I ended up eating quite a lot up North just to get through and dont get my steps in.

No particular aims for me in August other than to get through and hopefully stay about the same weight.

Welcome back @sparklyglitterball hope you had a wonderful time in France.
I’m not weighing this morning, my period arrived yesterday. My cycle is getting shorter and shorter (28/30 days previously this month it was 23 days!), wondering if I’m heading into peri-menopause.
I have a day out at the zoo today so will definitely get my steps in! Hope everyone has a good day

Octopus47 · 19/08/2022 08:39

Hope you had a good holiday @sparklyglitterball . Well done on the running.

@LBB2020 good luck with the toilet training. Hope you feel better soon, hormones are mean.

9st1 here today. Still no rain really here, unless you count a little bit on Tuesday. Its less muggy though. Off out with a friend tonight, which I'm really looking forward to cause I haven't seen her since April.

Thank you @Octopus47, he’s done a lot better than we expected 😊very proud (I think I mentioned before DS1 has Down syndrome so it’s a long process toilet training!). Hormones definitely have a lot to answer for!
We only had a splash of rain overnight last night, it’s otherwise been warm and sunny all week. I’m fed up of it now!
Enjoy your night out!

Big well done to your Son @LBB2020 ,

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. I ate out twice and generally made a bit of a pig of myself on Friday and Saturday so was 9st3, but down to 9st1.75 again this morning.

Update on my Dad, the cancer has spread to his skeleton (he doesn't know), so they've made the decision to carry on with hormone treatment. This should keep things at bay for quite some time, average 18 months, this can vary quite a lot. My DSis has the authority to speak to GPs etc on my Dad's behalf so they spoke to him. Occupational Health are visiting today to assess his mobility, he has had a couple of falls so has lost confidence. I feel strangely calm about it all at the moment.

Thank you @Octopus47
Sorry to hear about your dad, does he currently live alone?

Octopus47 · 24/08/2022 09:04

@LBB2020 he is in sheltered accommodation, but he has carers who visit a few times a day and my DSis visits several times a day. His carers are very good which is great.

Went to London Zoo yesterday with DS2, which was good. Also involved eating an extremely calorific Honest Burger which was divine, but did 20,000 steps. 9st1.25 this morning.

That takes some worry away if his carers are good and your sister is also close.
Sounds like a great day with your DS! We went to Whipsnade Zoo last week which the children both loved (my feet were aching by the end of the day!)

Octopus47 · 26/08/2022 09:01

Yes @LBB2020 it is reassuring.

9st0.5 this morning, weird fluke cause I feel quite bloated at the moment.

Hope everyone has a great bank holiday weekend. We’re away for the weekend so not worrying about food, just going to enjoy it! We’ll be doing lots of walking so that’s something at least!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/08/2022 10:04

Hello, I haven’t weighed this week and have also been at The Fringe, but have done 92,000 steps already this week which hopefully is damage control! No bank holiday here 😡

Sorry to hear about your dad @Octopus47 - how are you feeling now you have processed it a bit? @LBB2020 well done DS on the potty training!

Octopus47 · 30/08/2022 09:53

@LBB2020 hope you enjoyed your weekend away @Judystilldreamsofhorses hope you enjoyed The Fringe. It's taking time to get my head around my Dad's diagnosis, the prognosis is actually better than we would expect, which is something. I've not managed to get up there for a few weeks, but hope to get up there the week after next.

I've been trying to cut down a bit, without depriving myself too much cause I was feeling so bloated. I was 8st13.75 this morning.

Thank you, we had a lovely weekend away it was just what we needed! Hope you enjoyed The Fringe @Judystilldreamsofhorses. Well done @Octopus47! I think August was another rubbish month for me, September I’m getting back into routine with exercise and hopefully the diet will fall into place

Octopus47 · 01/09/2022 08:29
