I started this on Sunday, it's so hard! It's the light headedness and constant spaced out feeling I can't bare. The products are fine and tasty, cravings aren't an issue. It's purely feeling on the edge of passing out that feels so hideous. Anyone else? Does it improve? Help!

Hello

im starting this on Sunday! Happy to buddy of you want? I’ve done it before and lost 4 stone on it but had a baby and haven’t shifted the weight I gained from that pregnancy (4 years ago)
it does get better in a few days if u can push through! Drink loads of water u may be dehydrated! Also I rate the water flavourings.

carbibarbie · 08/07/2022 01:24

Hi! A buddy would be absolutely fantastic! Hurray. I started last Sunday so that's pretty great timing! I did it before too, then had two children and have PILED it on. I have so much to lose. What about you? Do you remember how long it takes to feel ok again? Xx

Aww amazing a buddy would be great! It’s always so much harder doing it again for some reason! The first time I was fine but it’s harder to get your head in it the second time!

I also have loads to loose an overwhelming amount if I dare to think about it!! We’re talking 6stone! But baby steps! We’re wanting to try for a baby so trying to get some off to get into a healthier range because of that.

to be fair I’d say if you started Sunday you should be feeling ok now! It’s usually 3 days x

carbibarbie · 08/07/2022 17:28

I feel much better today, day 5! Although the sleep deprivation doesn't help. How old is your baby?

Hi , I tried this a few years ago and had the odd boiled egg when feeling dizzy

It was enough to just up my protein , calories then I could keep going

Did get used to it after a few days just couldn't afford to keep doing it at the time

twigy100 · 09/07/2022 08:35

Hi,

I've been on this diet for 2 weeks now, it's the first diet in 2 years that I actually feel like it's working.

I've lost 1 stone since starting on the stage 3 but think that will start slowing down and evening out soon.

How are you working your meals? I miss breakfast and have my two meal replacements for lunch, then save the 600kcal meal for dinner.

Good luck with your first week, hope your don't mind me tagging along x

Gemi33 · 09/07/2022 09:21

I've started this today and this is what I'm a bit nervous about, feeling awful during the first week. I know it will pass but I have a busy, stressful job and feeling sick and awful would be really difficult. How are you doing now OP?

xx

Use your calories to suit your needs, some evenings I have only been having a 300kcal meal so could you that extra 300 throughout the day. I really enjoyed the spaghetti Bolognese as feels more filling

cheeseisthebest · 09/07/2022 09:28

Is it very expensive?

twigy100 · 09/07/2022 09:33

£38 a week on stage 3 which includes 14 meal replacements

cheeseisthebest · 09/07/2022 09:57

Wow! That does seem a lot!!

twigy100 · 09/07/2022 10:21

It is but then if you take into consideration that's 14 meals your not buying, no fizzy drinks, snacks or chocolate it's actually not to bad. I did slimming world for 12 weeks and only lost 7lb costing £60 plus food on top. Whilst losing a stone in 2 weeks for £76 including meals so to me it's definitely worth it.

cheeseisthebest · 09/07/2022 10:45

Yes that is true,I really need a push and something thst doesn't require much effort.

carbibarbie · 09/07/2022 23:23

Ooh just checked in and seen these posts. Will reply properly tomorrow. But to summarise: it took til day 5 to feel human (!), I've lost 8 pounds in the first week, am drinking so much water! And I'm also treating myself to the odd handful of nuts when feeling the need although the hunger stage has passed so now I'm just hoping to be able to enjoy (stomach!) the products for the next few months!

Gemi33 · 10/07/2022 08:06

That's a great loss carbibarbie, well done! Which step are you doing, are you on the products only or are you incorporating your own food too? I'm on day 2 and feeling ok so far but in general I'm rubbish at sticking with something so hope I can stay motivated!

carbibarbie · 10/07/2022 09:35

It's so great to have a lovely group here! So 8 pounds down, hopefully this week I can do similar. I'm doing step 1b, so 4 products or sometimes step 2 so 3 products and 200cal 'meal' (an egg and spinach/broc) when I want a 'treatment 😝

OP posts:
carbibarbie · 10/07/2022 09:36

Treat not treatment!

What step are you on @Gemi33? I'm still breastfeeding my daughter , just a little bit, she's 1, so I couldn't do less cals. My body seems to have adapted to feeding her whilst consuming so few cals so that's a miracle as was prepared for milk to go x

That's amazing well done ! Are you taking photos to document your progress? I really struggle with seeing weight loss in the mirror x

carbibarbie · 10/07/2022 09:52

@twigy100 a whole stone in two weeks is amazing! Do you have lots to lose? I have lots after two babies. I'm hoping to be 1.5 or 2 stone down by 14th august which is about 5 weeks away. Do you think possible? X

OP posts:
twigy100 · 10/07/2022 10:03

@carbibarbie I think that is definitely a possibility! I had two different targets so for my interim I wanted to lose about 1 stone 10lbs so I would be at pre baby weight in November for a holiday (9.5lb to go) and then another 1-1.5 stone after that. I'm hoping I'll hit my interim by end of august now and extra for the holiday

Gemi33 · 10/07/2022 10:03

I'm on 1b too. I have alot to lose so it feels like a bit of a mountain to climb. I'm hoping if I can get through the first week I will then feel more inspired and motivated to keep going.

KnottyKnitting · 10/07/2022 11:58

So I have heard a lot about this diet- it sounds like the Cambridge diet that My DSis did a while back. She lost lots of weight but as soon as she went off the shakes and meal replacements she piled it back on. How does this one prevent that? And is it healthy to lose so much weight in so shorter time? Not criticising, just interested if it has long term effects without spending the rest of your life restricting what you eat.

twigy100 · 10/07/2022 16:11

@KnottyKnitting it is from the Cambridge diet but the idea is when your at your ideal weight finding the daily calorie intake that suits your body. At present I'm having 1000 calories a day which still results in a weight loss when I'm close to my target I will start to raise that to know how much I should be eating daily so that I can continue to keep it off.
