Am 80% to target, another stone to go.
Just wanted to share as I fit in a dress I thought I would never get in.

Thanks. It's really not an easy path. It's a lifetime commitment and forces you to deal with food issues head on.

I can see why the NHS does counselling preop, I really struggled for months afterwards having non of that.

It's a great tool though for change.

Wow, you look 🔥 in that dress. Beautiful hour glass shape.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 28/05/2022 10:39

You look really lovely in that dress! Try to enjoy your new body without thinking about ‘that extra stone’…if you don’t ever lose it you still look amazing!

Aww thanks but the dress skims my stomach which is still very big, there's a lot of fat in there which I have to lose to have a chance of a more successful tummy tuck if I ever decide to get one.

I'm still overweight according to my BMI and my target has always been to have a healthy BMI

Can I ask how much it cost ? The op and you getting to / from and any hotel stays. Did they arrange it all ?

Myonlysunshine123 · 28/05/2022 10:54

Well done and also love the dress.
I like your style

£2,400 for op, all preop tests, transfers, 4 nights hospital stay, one night hotel, covid tests and that includes a companion, who get food too.

Flights paid separately.

UK is about 11k.

I want to do this! So expensive though.

It is, especially in UK, but for me was well worth it as I honestly couldn't lose weight on my own.

@PonyoLovesSouske could I ask what would have been your weaknesses before the surgery like chocolate etc and do you still eat them now? X

Tryhard40 · 29/05/2022 22:25

Amazing! You look like you've lost much more than 6 stone and you look great in that dress.

Can I be really nosy and ask how tall you are and what you weighed before/after? Obviously tell me to get lost if you are uncomfortable sharing.

Im 5"8" and have lost 26lbs since January by sticking to (90% of the time!) 1200 a day and walking lots. Gone from 12s 6 to 10s 8. Really struggling to get the last half stone off though! I would like to fit comfortably into a size 10 but even though my size 12 jeans are more comfortable I feel like haven't really dropped much in clothes sizes, i was only a 12-14 before. I agree with pp's though that it's very much to do with the style of clothing and where you buy them from.

My vices were everything 😂

I do still have small amounts of chocolate, crisps and sweet things

But items like chips, potatoes and especially bread I just cannot really eat anymore. I just cannot stomach them

If I have a burger for example, I could eat the whole beef patty if I have it alone or with salad.
If I attempt to eat it with a bun I will manage 2 or 3 bites. The bread just expands.

At my heaviest I was 17stone 11.
I am 5ft5.

At the time of surgery I was 17st 4.

I am currently 11st 4.

My goal is 10st 4.

You look fab OP.

You don't look like you've been left with saggy skin either (judging by your arms).

PonyoLovesSouske · 30/05/2022 19:40

Thankyou both x
