Hope @Hartleyhare1206 you have been wearing that jumpsuit every day. What a difference to find new clothes again from which to choose.
Managed to get back into the 9s today. 9st 13.1lbs. Like you it’s a bit of a positive 😀

Hartleyhare1206 · 22/06/2022 07:13

Yesssssssssssssss!!!!! Well done @Mum5net what a lovely boost!!

@Mum5net 2.4lbs off for me. That’s over two weeks as I never got round to weighing last weekend, but I’m happy.
Hope you’re having a lovely weekend? X

Great news! Brilliant progress. Go back into that wardrobe and see if there are any more jumpsuits. Heading in the right direction ahead of holiday time 🥳
Am doing my mums accounts as we never had power of attorney when she lost capacity and I have to submit them every year. Trying not to snack to distract me.
was 63.0 kg this morns. Hopefully next week I will be 62.5 kg or less .
let’s keep at it 😉💛🤞

Hartleyhare1206 · 26/06/2022 16:57

Thanks @Mum5net !
yes let’s keep at it! 62.5 will totally be yours! 🏆💪🏻

How’s it going @Mum5net ?? Hope you’re having a good week? X

OP posts:
Mum5net · 02/07/2022 08:34

Still north of 63 kg here so not good .
Been reasonably well behaved and doing 18k steps but my two portions of dinner I think is the problem
Dog in season 🩸which is a bit of a pain as I keep forgetting to take her pants off when I put her in the garden
How are you doing?
Countdown I guess to the school holidays 😊

Mum5net · 02/07/2022 08:35

@Hartleyhare1206 oops forgot to tag you

Hartleyhare1206 · 02/07/2022 08:46

@Mum5net poor dog! Hope she is ok and not feeling too sorry for herself or fed up?
18,000 steps is fab. I don’t seem to be able to get to more than 15k even with me best efforts. Loving two portions of dinner though 😂
yeah countdown to hols - six weeks of being a childrens entertainer and constantly having to produce snacks that I can’t eat - yay! 🤣🤣
1.4lbs off for me this week - thrilled but confused as I ate not one, but TWO Krispy Kreme chocolate donuts in one day this week. Is this a thing? Can we follow the Krispy Kreme diet and lose weight??
off to do my research….

🤣🤣🤣

@Hartleyhare1206 Elder Dd in Copenhagen for Harry Styles concert and been caught up inside her hotel tonight with door barricaded. They had been in mall one hour previously and saw everyone fleeing. V sad 😞 Someone else arrested in hotel car park

Hartleyhare1206 · 03/07/2022 21:43

@Mum5net I saw that on the news 😢 I’m so sorry DD is in such a horrible situation - must be V scary - for her and for you…
Glad she is safe - bet you want her home and to hug her more than anything xx

OP posts:
Mum5net · 03/07/2022 22:24

I’ve been eating stress chocolate 🍫

Hartleyhare1206 · 04/07/2022 07:06

@Mum5net totally acceptable!!
Hope that she and you are both ok?? Xx

Mum5net · 04/07/2022 07:16

She left her house at 3.30am and got early flight Copenhagen yesterday for the start of a two month period off work. The Harry trip a last minute addition and virtual front row seats. They were so exhausted that they needed a sleep before concert. So they went to mall early and came back for snooze. They were in hotel next to mall. Heard screams. Ran out to see why screaming so loud. Met by hundreds Danish girls and parents running from mall crying in Danish . Went back hotel. Then hour later dogs and police raided their hotel.DD was told to scatter so ran upstairs back to room while her pal lay on floor un reception of g hotel for hour. Guy arrested in their car park . DD lived in US for year of uni so knew it was a shooter. Just all v sad and upsetting as they met youngsters on train who said the best place to eat was food court in mall

Hartleyhare1206 · 04/07/2022 08:14

Oh @Mum5net that’s just awful…heartbreaking to read, and a million times worse for her to be a reality. And for you too.i bet you just don’t know what to do with yourself?
They never stop being our babies, do they? I’ve just read your message and had to stop what I was doing to give my little DD a big hug. I think I’ll be holding her hand just that little bit tighter on the school run today.
Sending virtual hugs to you and yours, and also to the families that suffered pain and loss yesterday xx 💔💔

OP posts:
Mum5net · 04/07/2022 09:08

Yes, hug your girl. Mine not back here until end July but plans may change. The shooter had gone to concert venue and was turned away. I think that’s what was upsetting her most that he wanted to kill hundreds.
She’s 25. She just aware that those that died were exactly like the lovely people they met on train earlier on way to mall and venue. Food hall at mall was best place to eat before concert they were told. That’s where casualties were. 😞

Hartleyhare1206 · 04/07/2022 09:52

There are just no words to describe the evil intent behind his actions…
Thank God she is safe and well.
I’ve hugged and squeezed mine to bits this morning. Even made her give me a big smoochy kiss at the school gate….the exasperated “muuuummm!” Huff from her didn’t bother me one bit 😂
I remember a few weeks after she was born, something awful happened to a local family, literally a few houses away from us which resulted in a loss of life. It happened the day after the attack at the Arianna Grande concert in Manchester. I sat holding my baby girl close all day and hating the world we had brought her in to. Despite the frustrations and exhaustion of having a newborn, I just wanted to cuddle her and keep her close and safe. I had echos of that again today, so can only imagine how emotional and helpless you must be feeling today, and know how sweet and precious your hugs with DD will be - whether they be at the end of July, or even a little bit sooner xx

DD back in England. Meeting up with her DF while he is seeing MIL this weekend.
Back to the weight loss, Today 63.7 kg 🙁
Hope all going smoothly for you @Hartleyhare1206 Two more weeks to school holiday time?

Hartleyhare1206 · 06/07/2022 11:12

Bet that’s a relief of sorts @Mum5net ?
How is she? And how are you?

Dont stress about the scales this week - you’ve had way more important worries.

ok here thanks - yes 2 weeks to go - think DD is ready for the break to be honest. First year at a school almost over which blows my mind!

inspired by you, I’ve tried very hard to get my steps up this week! 17600 on Sunday, 19k on Monday and so far today 12k done with the second school run still to complete!
it’s making me extra hungry though, which is a slight problem…😂🤦‍♀️

Yes, glad to have her back albeit she’s off to Greece on Saturday. The more she reveals about how close she was to the trauma ( she walked past the area where gunman was arrested five times in the two hours previously) the more you realise how lucky she was…
keep eating chocolate
I am good though. Relieved she’s on eight week break before new job.
Amgoing to Edinburgh for the weekend while DH away. That will help my steps.
By the sound of things you are cracking on with the walking. It is easier to do more walking in the summer. I’m pacing around the grass with the dog and you can see my footprints
Can you suggest me some easy lunch ideas if you have a minute. I know you are a foodie 🤣🤣

Hartleyhare1206 · 07/07/2022 20:27

Ooh hopefully Greece will be kinder to her than Copenhagen was…
Edinburgh sounds lovely! Hope you’re going to let your hair down a little after the stresses of the past week?
lunches? Hmmmm….mine tend to be quick and easy - current favourite are bagel thins (120cal) with roasted onion humous and a big salad. Or a “fry up” - grilled bacon medallions, egg, beans, mushrooms and maybe a slice of toast from a small 400g loaf. Perhaps a jacket with cheese, beans and salad? I’m also a big fan of cooking extra at dinner time and reheating a smaller portion for lunch - so pasta in a home made tomato sauce, chilli - with a baked potato, a fishcake with salad etc x usually have Greek yoghurt and berries for pudding!
I don’t usually bother with breakfast as mornings are so busy for me I don’t tend to have time to notice I’m hungry! So I hang on until about 12/1pm and then have quite a substantial lunch instead which I do find more more satisfying. Try to aim for 500/600 cal for lunch and for dinner and then a couple small treats - a cereal bar/freddo/small bag of crisps/a couple of bits of fruit etc

Right, riddle me this @Mum5net

How, in a week where I have eaten like a saint and literally walked 39 miles in 5 days, how the actual HELL have I gained 2.5lbs??! HOW??? 🤬🤬🤬

To say I’m annoyed and fed up would be a giant understatement and I’m currently trying not to faceplant the biscuit tin in the hunt for solace!!

argghhhhh!!

it’s so much easier to just be a lazy, fat cow!!!!

OP posts:
Mum5net · 09/07/2022 17:10

Nooo the scales are wrong. Your mileage is that of a cyclist not a walker.
I say throw those scales in the bin and eat nothing this week except raspberries and strawberries . I@Hartleyhare1206 it’s summer so let’s eat summer and I will
do some of those lunch ideas too x

Hartleyhare1206 · 13/07/2022 14:13

Hey @Mum5net how was Edinburgh?
im over my weight gain hissy fit. Had a huge glass of wine and a slice of chocolate cheesecake and then got straight back on it.
Eating only berries is pushing it though 😂
Just thought of you when I made lunch - a tortilla wrap filled with 2 bacon medallions, mushrooms and an egg (squirt of ketchup, obvs!) it was divine! Pasta in home made tomato sauce (with about a million different veg blended in so little DD doesn’t realise it’s there 😝) with a big salad for dinner. Made extra so I can take it to work for lunch tomorrow.
Really hoping for a more successful weigh in at the weekend, genuinely no clue what caused such a whopping weight gain last week but trying to have faith it’ll even itself out shortly!

OP posts:
Mum5net · 13/07/2022 14:44

Edinburgh was lovely thank you - lots of canal walks with 🩸dog and a huge amount of steps (160k for the week) but I still didn’t lose any weight.
Today I had a punnet of raspberries and a tin of baked beans for lunch with a single Lidl twix . We have tomato sauce, a sea bass fillet and green veg tonight.
Sneaky way to give DD those veg.
it’s only a hop and a skip to change the recipe to minestrone and if you use ‘star’ pasta that could be another winning dish 😀
Currently 63.5.
and it’s raining here.
Yes, have faith. I am thinking sit ups instead of steps . 🤣
m glad you are still here although I wish too that we were both too good to be here iyswim 😀
