Last few pounds! Anyone ?!

I want to shave off the last few pounds. It’s taking ages now !
I’m 5’5 and weigh 8 stone 8. I’d like to get to 8 stone 3.
This last month has started at 8’11 and then varied from 8’11 to 8’7 (increased around period) but averaged this last fortnight at 8’8 so I think I’ve lost a pound or 2 in the last month.
I’m calorie counting on mfp. I also weight train a bit at home but struggling to find time recently.
Anyone with me for the last few vanity pounds? It’s hard to stay on track when progress goes sooo sloooowww near the end!

Still being good this weekend!! I live in the peak district so always lots of new routes and paths to explore. Got completely lost today but ended up on a lovely 2 hour plus walk so thats definitely burned some cals!!!

@Ohyesthankyouglitter thats really good you had a nice evening I couldnt have half a bottle id want another little glass...trying to kid myself into thinking im having a fizz tonight with some elderflower sparkling water tonight!

Well very last minute my sister in law called with tickets to a local theatre group production for me and dd!! That definately helped avoid food or drink cravings!!!

Checking in. Had main meal at lunch today, but am feeling in a 'nibbly' mood, arggghhh. Don't understand the psychology of why it's so much harder at weekends- I suppose I have more time on my hands.

I’m down to 8 stone 6 today!! 🥂 I’ve been very strict this week and not eating after 5pm and it’s worked. I think when it’s the last few pounds when at the lower end of Bmi we have to be super strict or it doesn’t work. Now to be careful and not cock it all up over the weekend 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤣
But what are you going to do when you reach your goal? Stay on a strict deficit?

Yey, I'm down to 11st 7.5 this morning, so that's 2.5lb off this week. I went into the week quite food/water-weight bloated, which I'm not this week, so I suspect I'll have to work quite hard this week if I want to lose the same amount.

I've got two strict weeks ahead of me before my work trip- totally focussed. I can't wait to get to goal so I can work out what maintenance looks like!

But not feeling pleased as I had managed to get to 11 6 the week before starting the notherestrone!!! My last few days on it now so hopefully ill start to loose after this.

Such a good girl over the weekend
No booze and stuck to my weight watchers meal planning. Find it easy to keep at it in the week but im wfh today and that usually sends all diets out the window! Going to go a huge walk at lunch time

I have just under 3 weeks now till my holiday and just over 2 weeks till my friends wedding so I am hyper focused now too!!!

New week! Lets go!

Down 200g from Friday, after a weekend of going out to dinner (3 beers) cake on both days, wine last night… but a longish but not strenuous walk, and being careful at breakfast and lunch.

So ok with that.

Worked out my BMR: need far fewer basic calories than I thought. Comes with being older.

Well done for 200g loss Edge, @Sunseeker90, so depressing to be UP, but just think how much good you're doing yourself in the longterm, once you come off these pills it'll drop off!!

I don’t think the BMR calculator is anything other than ‘broad brush stroke average of someone your age and size’.

I don’t actually know how many calories I scoff in a day.

Down to 64.3 Kg this morning.

This is good because it is reassuring me that I can maintain, not worry and constantly ‘food watch’ on my new healthier eating pattern, and fairly easily and quickly re-set if / when needs be.

Will aim for 63.5Kg, maybe 63, and relax.

I have an O55’s health check at the GP next week, they are inviting everyone in. : will be interested to see how my blood pressure, cholesterol and heart rate are doing. As for me this is as much about health as vanity. Though god knows the ‘vanity’ has helped after a very tough few years. I feel more like me when I am active and physical.

Gym and walk yesterday.

How is everyone doing?

I’m 9st and trying to drop to 8.5. I’ve found the only way to do this is by going plant based and not eating sugar!

I’ve done it once before. But when I stopped being vegan I went back up to 9st.

I’m going to try and cut out sugar but keep the meat and see if that works because I want something sustainable

Had a spectacular lapse last night and broke into a tub of Celebrations that I had bought in preparation for Christmas (bargain: 3.49 in Aldi, don’t all rush at once!).

FGS. Eating loads, in bed, at 1am.

Ah well. Back to healthy eating today.

Well done everyone on their losses. I'm feeling hungry right now but am determined to hold off until lunch. I'm feeling trimmer since we started this 10days ago - but I think that's partly because what I'm choosing to eat sits better in my body.

Wow, that's a huge loss, well done! I was down to 59kg this morning which is the lowest since the start of July. I put on a few kgs over the summer for some reason, perhaps because I coudn't run for 8 weeks due to a knee intervention. Now I'm back running every day things have settled down. 2kgs to go, I'm 5'8 and 57kgs is where I want to get back to.

Ive been good so far this weekend and heading to a party tonight but have decided to drive....thus no alcohol or snack calories as I wont be able to stop myself on the crisps if I start haha!!

Was back to 11.6 this morning so hopefully next week i can continue to loose a few lbs as i only have 2 weeks tomorrow till my holiday!

I am a Kg less than I was at the beginning of this thread but not doing as well as I might be due to eating the remainder of the tub of Celebrations. But have been doing well on the remainder of my food intake. And excercise.

My concern this week is Diwali and the incredibly calorific Indian sweets, the ones made of coconut and ghee and condensed milk… I love them, especially the ones flavoured with Cardomom and pistacho…we get boxes given at work.

Me too! Was 59kg Friday up to 60.5kg this morning 😳. Am hoping it's just water weight due to crisps being eaten! And homemade pizza, but only 2 small slices last night.

Am I too late to join?!

Today is my 41st birthday and for some stupid reason I weighed myself, and am the heaviest I've ever been. For me that means probably 10 pounds to lose. Clothes still fit (just about) and from certain angles in certain mirrors I can convince myself that I'm not unhappy with how I look, but if I'm being honest I've been uncomfortable for a little while now.

10 pounds doesn't sound like that much, does it?! But it's the equivalent of those "last few pounds" and it's very difficult to find the motivation, particularly with a g&t in my hand, or to put it off because "it's not that much, i'll just do it after [x date in future that never actually comes].

So today, 64.4kg. 5 foot 3. Pretty fit (currently in physio for an injury meaning my usual activity, powerlifting, which I would typically train 4x per week, has been reduced which I guess isn't helping much!!). Would like to get down to 59/60kg before Christmas.

I saw someone share their day's eating earlier in the thread and would be really interested to hear what others eat, as helps with motivation/inspiration!
