Great news diege!

Glad I'm not running today I must admit, it's very hot here. I've just finished my work day so about to go for a bike ride with my son. Well hopefully he'll agree to come along!!

OneOfTheGrundys · 02/06/2020 16:44

That is brilliant news @diege! Definitely the moment for something bubbly!
‘Bad’ few days here as it was my birthday and I munched on all types of rubbish 😂

diege · 02/06/2020 16:50

Thanks everyone! Feel like I need to sleep now as emotionally drained!
Grundys Happy birthday wishes! Did you eat anything nice? 🤣Hope you had a great day ThanksWineCake

JonHammIsMyJamm · 02/06/2020 17:38

Happy belated birthday @OneOfTheGrundys Cake.

Fabulodosus · 02/06/2020 17:38

@diege amazing news! If you've not already then champagne breakfast must surely be in order!!

@OneOfTheGrundys happy birthday!

@JonHammIsMyJamm.. amazing work! 1🙌

Queenoftheashes · 02/06/2020 17:49

Well done @JonHammIsMyJamm - I am due to finish c25k tomorrow myself! I’ve been doing 37 minute runs but still haven’t managed 5k in that time annoyingly.
@diege great news! Enjoy your treat night!
And happy birthday to @OneOfTheGrundys !
I’m hungry but have lost last weeks gain so it’s all good.

LimeJellyforBrains · 02/06/2020 22:25

Fantastic news @diege! Hope you are having a good rest tonight.

Happy Birthday @OneOfTheGrundys Hope you had some nice treats.

Congratulations @JonHammIsMyJamm and @Queenoftheashes, running 5k is a fantastic achievement.

OwlinaTree · 02/06/2020 22:38

Evening all. Rubbish day for me in terms of exercise, not even managed 7,000 steps! Stuck to plan regarding food through, so pleased about that. Weather supposed to be breaking tomorrow which is a shame.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 03/06/2020 08:17

Well done with your food though @OwlinaTree.

Thanks @LimeJellyforBrains Smile. Best of luck with your final run today too, @Queenoftheashes. Let us know how you get on.

From today I’m trying 16:8. I’ve done 5:2 in the last bit find the ‘2’ days a bit hard and triggering on the ED front, whereas 16:8 is just delaying breakfast, so doable.

I’m watching the news about universities announcing COVID plans. My DD is supposed to be going this Sept and we’ve been waiting for an announcement, so I’ll be very interested to see how her first choice decides to manage the gov guidance.

OwlinaTree · 03/06/2020 09:01

Good luck with the 16:8 Jon. I try that sometimes at the weekend, have a late breakfast, don't bother with lunch. I have coffee though!

Anyone done any good workouts for upper arms? I feel like mine are flapping in the breeze at the moment!

Weigh in tomorrow. I'm keeping fingers crossed for a loss.

MrsSnitchnose · 03/06/2020 15:13

@JonHammIsMyJamm I do 16:8 too. I like it because I like to eat in the evening and this way, I get to have most of my calories at a time when I'd struggle not to eat.

Just had a protein shake and that was the first thing today (apart from coffee)

Well, so far, so good @MrsSnitchnose. I held off until noon and will close my ‘window’ at 8. Like you, I had tea, coffee & water pre-noon.

MrsSnitchnose · 03/06/2020 15:21

Glad to hear it Jon Have to confess, my window is flexible. Usually I do about 2 till 10 but it all depends on when I have my last snack (work days). I just make sure my next food 16 hours after my window closes

JonHammIsMyJamm · 03/06/2020 15:29

Sounds good. I think mine’ll be similar. So long as I have a min of 16 hours between windows, it’ll be fine.

OwlinaTree · 03/06/2020 19:06

Hi guys, quite a good day. Overnight oats for breakfast, fruit for lunch - was supposed to be soup but went to work for an hour and ended up staying for about 5!

Went for a run in the rain 6.5k longest ever! DH has made jambalaya for tea, looking forward to that. Had to eat a pear and some ham to keep me going. Hope all have had a good day and the fasting has gone well.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 03/06/2020 19:14

Very civilised day for you then, @OwlinaTree. Jambalaya sounds tasty. I’ve made a chicken, leek & chestnut pie for dinner tonight. I’m ravenous.

OwlinaTree · 03/06/2020 19:38

That sounds nice Jon

Queenoftheashes · 03/06/2020 19:43

16:8 is good I think - another evening eater here. I just put off breakfast until lunchtime which means I get a snack later.
Finally graduated from Michael Johnson’s school of jogging with 5.6 k (in about four hours) ! 300 cals to play with as well 😂 leave it as fat burnt or have a wine?

PTCEDYFB Thread 2
OwlinaTree · 03/06/2020 19:54

Well done Queen! If you've got 300cals to play with I'd go for it.

MrsSnitchnose · 03/06/2020 20:03

Well done @Queenoftheashes! I'd definitely be putting some of those spares to use.

Some nice sounding food going on. I'm just having the Summer in Winter chicken that someone recommended (may have been @lovinglavidaloca). Very nice actually so thanks Smile

Thanks snitch.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 03/06/2020 20:24

Wooo hooo! Well done @Queenoftheashes.

diege · 03/06/2020 20:56

Wow, I am inspired by all the wonderful fitness achievements! I have done very little as snowed under with work 😫 but have been keeping to my MFP cals. Hopeful of losing the pound I put on last week!

lovinglavidaloca · 03/06/2020 22:29

I don’t think that was me Snitch but glad you enjoyed anyway!

Diege I’m glad to read your good news Grin

Not a great day diet or exercise wise here - had a homemade cookie which took me to about 200 calories over and didn’t do a workout either. Takeaway night tomorrow so it probably won’t be any better but I’ll make sure and do my workout and drag the kids out for a long walk. I don’t want to start to slip back when I was doing so well.

Hope you’re all doing well!
