I'm doing no carbs (or as little as possible) as that's when I see the most benefit. So far today I've had a baked omlette with cauliflower and green beans and a chicken breast- that's it. Come home from work - kids want a chippy tea! Its friday, why not! (Scoffed 4 - count them 4 measly chips, not even massive ones) count that as a win personally! Seems like meat/fish and veg/salad for every meal currently and struggling after 3 weeks - please share your no/low carb recipes for a desperate woman

Did you post this in relationships cause you're cultivating a terrible relationship with food by labelling it good and bad and inevitably binging down the line.

Eat the carbs. They only make you fatter if you eat too much of them. Much like any other food group.

So sorry - posted in the wrong section! MN can you move this to weight loss or similar please?

There's always something you can count on on MN - one arsehole to be scouring new posts with a catty remark!
I've asked for it to be moved now.
Mind you, if you're focusing on me and my faux pas of posting in the wrong section at least you're leaving some other poor bugger alone. Do you have nothing better to do than bring others down for simple mistakes? Must be hard being perfect.

I am a low carber who also frequents the relationship boards...

I would say, up your fat intake considerably (low carb diet is high fat and not high protein so for a start, ditch the chicken breast and eat thighs with skin on instead) and seek out a really good iron free multivitamin. Sometimes a feeling of dissatisfaction can be due to a mild vitamin deficiency.

For supper today, I had a Caesar salad with loads of homemade garlicky proper Caesar dressing covered in shaved Parmesan and big juicy anchovies. This is the one and only salad where a chicken breast might just have a place btw...

We've moved this thread for you now, OP. Flowers

Good lord woman it was a joke. Half of one anyway. The carb withdrawal must be hard.

4 chips is great. You should allow your self any carbs you like in small amounts like this. Then fill up the rest of the plate with salad, veggies and protein.

Good luck!

Oomi protein noodles are great for making a quick stir fry - not as good as the real thing but much lower carb. I had them last night with chicken thigh, spring onions and Choi sum.

Make a big chilli (but no kidney beans) with lots of mushrooms and then you can have it with sour cream, grated cheese, guacamole, cauliflower rice etc
