Hi @Skyejuly. I've totally been there. It's really disheartening when you aren't losing as quickly as you had wanted. Could you try some new foods or recipes to help with the boredom? What would you be eating if you could eat anything in the world? Could you adapt it to fit your diet/woe and budget and have that?

cricketmum84 · 28/01/2020 16:30

@Skyejuly yup I'm there too. I just have no interest in cooking or eating! I've been vegetarian for almost a year and having the craziest meat cravings ever!! Could actually demolish a steak but I've made a commitment to myself and the cows to not eat them!

It just seems that as a result of the meat cravings I'm just not interested in eating anything!

Evening. Roast beef salad for lunch. Pork chop with pepper sauce, roasted cauliflower and runner beans for dinner followed by a sugar free jelly.Trying to drink my water but the 2 litre bottle I have in the fridge door [today's ration] doesn't seem to be going down!
Sorry to everyone struggling, we're nearly in February though and today I noticed that we have some crocuses coming up. That always gives me hope that spring is on it's way. Very cold here though but no sign of snow thank goodness.
Been thinking of you today @somesortofzilla hope everything went well for you.

Tryingtwo · 28/01/2020 20:31

I had a mini fish and chips at lunchtime and swapped most of my chips with my dd for her salad Halo but then went to dm's and ate everything - pizza, crusty bread and butter, garlic bread, crisps..... , then trifle and cake Blush. I did stick to one slice each of pizza, bread and garlic bread, a small serving of trifle and two bites of cake but it was the crisps and savoury snack things, that I kept picking at, which did the damage. The temptation is to carry on eating but I'm trying to resist.

JessJonesJumps · 28/01/2020 22:01

We had our belated Burns supper tonight. We've been so busy this was the first chance we've had - vegetarian haggis and neeps. I gave the tatties and cranachan a miss this year.
I got about 3 hrs sleep last night so I'm having an early night tonight. And hoping I'll miraculously lose 1lb if I get a full night's sleep Wink

y0rkier0se · 28/01/2020 22:51

Weighed in at 16”3 this morning, 3lb up from Friday morning without any real cause - yes I had carvery Sunday but that doesn’t justify 3lb! Also, dieting is playing havoc with my periods. I’ve just come on today for the second time in three weeks Hmm had a mini orange for breakfast, tomato and basil soup with 3 cream crackers and pineapple for lunch (342kcal), then a burger in bread bun with 125g oven chips (745kcal) for dinner, with 140kcal of digestives for pudding and a peppermint tea just now so finishing on 1230kcals for the day. Hoping to see a 3lb loss as I was 16st 0 and I’m gutted that it’s gone back up to 16”3 :(

I found a bean salad at the supermarket, it's delicious. I haven't had one in years. I had it for lunch with salady bits. I had a very late breakfast, so a good overnight fast for me. 16/8 intermittent fasting gives me structure. I had a lovely walk last night, stretched my legs and used up some energy! I found a stool someone was getting rid of and carried it home, then quite surprisingly I found another stool and brought that home as well! That worked my arm muscles! I will get some photos of my hike on Friday if I remember so I can show you our local bushland! The fires were near us in November, but since then they've very much seemed to head south. We have had rain again last night so that's just such a treat for us.

For the times when it feels like you're not losing weight I think photos can help. The photos of me not being able to do up my dress vs me wearing my dress were very motivating for me.

Good luck everyone.

cricketmum84 · 29/01/2020 07:13

Day 29 and I caved on the veganism and had a mushroom omelette for dinner last night! I was just craving protein and was even being tempted by chicken. Not good.

However.... THE SCALES MOVED!!!! Only by 1.5lbs but it's really cheered me up :) fingers crossed for a bit more movement before the end of the month!

Plan for today is:
Peppermint tea (IBS playing up a bit again)
B - alpro yoghurt, blackberries and 20g maple and pecan granola
L - mixed pepper jalfrezi, brown rice and broccoli
S - satsumas
D - Morrison's vegan pasty warm with salad

Go @cricketmum84!

64.7kg. Down again then up again. Out to dinner tonight so it’s a damage limitation day.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Egghead68 · 29/01/2020 07:36

And then (part-way) down again (64.4kg).

Egghead68 · 29/01/2020 07:40

Just checked back and I was 65.3kg on Jan 1st. Would be really good to make it to 1kg off by 31st.

Tryingtwo · 29/01/2020 08:07

Good morning, I didn't stop eating yesterday and finished off at 10.3p with peanut butter on crackers. Oh well back to it today.
As expected I'm up today by 1.8lbs which is still 0.8 down for the week. Hope to losr the gain by Friday.

recklessgran · 29/01/2020 08:28

Morning all. I'm up again too by .75lbs. I'm blaming the handful of pecan nuts I ate last night. Yesterday was the first time I've felt really hungry on this Keto diet so I'm assuming it was due to not enough protein or not enough water filling me up.
@cricketmum84 was just thinking of you - have you seen the 25% off and free delivery at Holland and Barrett on MSE? The code is 25FREEMSE and it ends on Friday I think. I've been on there this morning and ordered a load of vegan stuff for DD and DGD. Bits are already going out of stock but thought it was worth mentioning on here. Have a good day all, I don't have a food plan yet but will catch up later.

cricketmum84 · 29/01/2020 08:35

Ooh thanks @recklessgran!! I'll have a look now. Would be good if it worked in store too! My offices are above a big shopping centre and there's a Holland and Barrett practically next door. I need to get on board with this nutritional yeast thing and see if it fixes my cheese cravings 😂

Somesortofzilla · 29/01/2020 10:11

Morning all!

Sorry for the radio silence, the last few days have just been hectic. Thanks for the new thread @cricketmum84 and for all the support and wise words

@recklessgran that's brilliant! You're fab, you've got this!

Yesterday didn't quite go as expected. There was a lot of arguing before court (him making ridiculous demands and me refusing), we got in front of the judge and he said he would be striking out the application as it had no basis. Great, then his solicitor asked to withdraw it as she feels her client would be prejudiced going forward and the judge agreed, I don't understand these people! She sad her client was desperate for access blah blah blah so the judge is having us back in 3 months with a report from the SW, schools, and confirmation he took part in courses etc. The judge said every parent should have the opportunity to spend time with their children and that STBEXH was willing to take steps to allow that. I'm just stunned. What about the kids, this country is backwards. And breathe!

Anyway, it's happening, on the plus side I'm down 0.8kg. This is my last weigh in before Feb starts so I'll finish with this once in a lifetime loss Grin

Good luck today everyone!

My stats are:
Starting weight: 102.1kg
Jan target: 93.5kg
Actual Weight: 93.6kg (sooo close)
Loss for this week: 0.8kg
Loss so far: 8.5kg

Onesmallstep67 · 29/01/2020 11:18

Morning. Nearly there ! Teetering just on 15st 4/5 lbs today. Delighted to be maintaining this dip as usually I bobble around gaining and losing the same couple of pounds before they finally disappear. 4 more lbs and I will have hit the 4 stone lost mark. And in terms of where my initial target was I'm now well past the halfway mark. So it's beginning to feel achievable.

JessJonesJumps · 29/01/2020 11:21

somesort at least you have three months before you have to face him in court again Flowers

@JontyDoggle37 hope you and DS are feeling better today.

I'm 0.4lb down. I spotted that Aldi has scales that calculate fat, BMR, etc. I can't decide whether to buy them or not. Does anyone know if they are worth having?

Skyejuly · 29/01/2020 11:31

Scales sound good. Might upset me if I knew though.

Can't stop eating today :(

Egghead68 · 29/01/2020 11:52

Sorry it didn't go as you had hoped @Somesortofzilla. Congratulations on the weight loss.
My plan:
B: spring roll (68) half cheese sandwich (259)
L: Thai curry (520)
D: Caulflower tempura 400?, goat's cheese tart 500? (yawn - posh restaurant. Can't they think of anything else for vegetarians?), 1 chocolate 70?, 1.5 glasses wine 200 Total 2017
Will walk as much as I can to try to offset a bit. Should have had a smaller lunch.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 29/01/2020 17:07

Sorry this is dragging on @Somesortofzilla. Flowers

KedsAndTubeSocks · 29/01/2020 17:08

Oh the joy of a properly fitting bra! I went and got some cheap new ones, as all my old ones were hanging off me. Bliss!

Skyejuly · 29/01/2020 17:27

Some sort I had exact same. If you would like to chat on WhatsApp or email pls PM me as i have had this exact situation in court last year...still ongoing. X

ValentineFizz · 29/01/2020 19:20

Thank you @cricketmum84 for the new thread! And well done @recklessgran that's great!

So I started at 10st 11lb which is heaviest I've ever been, BMI 26.7 = overweight. Target for end of Jan 10st 4lb which I saw on the scales this morning - I'm absolutely thrilled as really doubted that I had the willpower to do this but have knuckled down and I'm seeing results so feeling very motivated.

I have done some 16:8, applied better portion control, eaten less takeaway and I'm hitting 10k steps most days.

It's you guys who are keeping me going as I feel accountable to you, so thanks for the support and motivation!

cricketmum84 · 29/01/2020 19:28

@Somesortofzilla I'm sorry that court didn't go as hoped. It's just a small bump in the road though, just think of it as them giving him yet another chance to fuck up again and prove you right. I know that's not great for the kids in the long term but they have you and you are an amazing mum.

@JessJonesJumps my scales do all that fancy stuff but I don't really use any of the functions. I don't really trust it to know how much of me is fat or water just by standing on them??

@KedsAndTubeSocks I desperately need to go bra shopping! My boobs are like 2 peas in big socks.... why does it always come off the boobs first?!?!

Huge well done @ValentineFizz!! That's a fantastic result for the month! And thank you ❤️❤️

No change and one of those days where you feel crappy. I feel fat too (possibility PMT). Have had a sore head and have eaten all the carbs tonight...
I’ve also signed up with RH fitness...
