Strange Weight loss

Am starting to get worried. I have been around 11 stone for the past 15 years and have always struggled to loose and keep off weight, my heaviest weight was 12 stone 4.

Something strange has happened in that I have lost a lot of weight without trying. Nothing has changed but this morning I weighed in at 9stone 1. I have lost a stone since late January. I am starting to worry if I could be sick as I don't understand how I am loosing the weight when I have struggled all my life to stay anywhere in the 10 stone mark. Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm not complaining but am getting concerned. I am 42, 5ft5. I am by no means underweight but this loss is very very strange. Any ideas?

Did he give you the actual results? Lots of doctors ignore borderline results that just fall into normal range which indicate there actually is a problem.

No he didn't but he ran through what was tested and said every result was exactly where it should be. He said there was 3 different thyroid tests run and all were normal. He also mentioned a 3 letter test can remember what it was and said result should be between 0-5 and mine now is 0.8 but when I had pneumonia 2 years ago and was very ill it was at 388. Wish I could remember what it was! But in summary he said my bloods and vitamin levels were all fine
