Can I start a new thread? Hope you don't mind.
Just had a really bad weight gain at group tonight and need a fresh start. Thought a fresh new thread would help.
After a 6lb weight loss last weeek have just had a bad weigh in with a gain of 3 1/2lb. .
So tomorrow is a new day, start of a new week and I am going to work hard at it!!!
Who wants to join me for a good week ahead?

Summer is on it's way and we are all going to look good!

I lost 3.5lbs.

I am very happy with that, just need to keep going without being too naughty. Off to find something to have for my lunch now.

fireflyfairy2 · 29/03/2007 13:10

Well Done Beth!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic!!

I'm having a packet of pasta & sauce with cheese grated over it. & then a big red apple.

AlphaLolly · 29/03/2007 13:30

Well done Beth, I had melon and yoghurt for breakfast.

Then for lunch it was a tin of tesco raviolli and home made egg mayo sandwich.

Syns so far 3.5

fireflyfairy2 · 29/03/2007 18:10

I got the mag last night but haven't got round to reading it yet!

rachfran · 29/03/2007 21:04

First week of SW a success, lost 5.5 so I am celebrating with a couple of glasses of wine

fireflyfairy2 · 29/03/2007 21:05

Brilliant!!

Wonder how Sparkler is doing!!

If you see her on any threads point her here

AlphaLolly · 30/03/2007 22:07

Sorry ff2 - went running out as soon as I made them.

Don't put the salt in! Apart from that I didn't put the nuts on and maybe I needed to.

Big mistake, I made the real full fat version too, and they were sooooooooooooo much better

ForcesSweetheart · 31/03/2007 21:05

fireflyfairy2 · 31/03/2007 21:10

I have to confess that I haven't read the recipe yet!

Will have a read at the mag later!

AlphaLolly · 01/04/2007 09:14

No where near as nice as the real ones. Making some of the real ones in a min for my Dad's so will save you one FS.

BethAndHerBrood · 02/04/2007 20:07

Oh Dear! Are we all too busy eating pies to come on here?

It's very quiet, what are you all up to?

fireflyfairy2 · 02/04/2007 21:04

Hi.

I went out a walk today. A lovely long 4 miles walk with my sister. Then when I picked dd up from school & told her where I had been & what we were doing, she insisted she & I go for a walk too! So this one was only about 2 miles, baring in mind dd is just 5!

I don't feel like I have any weight off this week, despite counting all my syns & every morsel I have eaten has went onto my tracker/food diary.

I have had lots of pineapple & free/speed foods. The magazine this month has been awe inspiring when I look at the slimming world slimmer of the year & How cool did the 2 yummy mummies look????? Excellent!!

Inspiration at its best

Where is everyone else....& have you started panicking about Easter yet????

honey28 · 02/04/2007 21:07

I gained 2.5lbs tonight. Have missed the past 2 weeks so its my own fault. I am going to a wedding on 21 APril and need to shift some pounds by then - apart from speed foods are there any other tips? Has anyone tried success express? I can't get my head round it

katylou25 · 02/04/2007 21:39

Well I managed to lose 1/2 pound not really sure how but am really chuffed!

fireflyfairy2 · 02/04/2007 21:53

WD KAtylou.

Honey, free foods..use them to your advantage. I load up on pasta on the green days. I've only had 2 red days from the very beginning though, not so keen on them.

I have never tried the success express, though I have heard my consultant talking about SOS or something..it's a sheet you have to fill in re: when you eat etc.. someone else may know more about it, or there may be more details on the sw website.

samsmam · 03/04/2007 07:32

Hi ya all, I did join this group a while back but I have been so bad.

I need some motivation- not sure what to do! I went for my last weigh in nearly three weeks ago and to then I had lost 28lb since Christmas. Now I still have about 21lb to go and have completly lost enthusiasm. I have been away and TBH have eaten like a mad woman and am embarassed about how much weight I may have put on tomorrow.

How can I get back on track? HELP please someone.

fireflyfairy2 · 03/04/2007 12:33

The first thing I would do, is call your consultant & explain..then go back to your next meeting & get back on track again!!!! 21lb is only a small amount to have to lose, but a huge acheivement when done, if that makes sense

Mumbojumbo · 03/04/2007 23:27

Can I share my lovely dinner recipe with you (free on a green day!):

I did a freelance roasted veg as follows (made with the contents of the veggie box in the fridge):
half a red/yellow/green pepper
Courgette
baby carrots cut up into chunks
red onion cut up into chunks
leek sliced
2 cloves crushed garlic
Fry light
Roasted these for about half an hour, then added tin of chopped tomatoes and tin of haricot beans and heated through.

Then added some spinach on the top to wilt.

Separately I chopped some mushroom into chunks and added crushed garlic and some vecon stock. Sweated these in the oven in a separate pan.

Cooked wholewheat pasta (or spaghetti for dh). Loaded the veg on pasta, topped with mushrooms and served with grated parmesan (28g between us) on the top.

Delicious!

fireflyfairy2 · 04/04/2007 13:13

Mmmmm sounds delicious!!

Have my weigh-in tonight

Hopefully I will have lost as I have been really good this week & have walked loads too! But I don't feel any lighter

BethAndHerBrood · 04/04/2007 20:49

How have you got on, ff2? I know what you mean about not feeling any lighter, last week I knew I had lost some, I could feel it. This week, even though I have been good (better than last week, tbh) I don't feel so confident. We shall see tomorrow.

Should not be watching a cooking prog about puddings the night before weigh in!!!

fireflyfairy2 · 04/04/2007 21:12

I had 1lb off

I had needed 1.5lb to get my club 10

But if I keep up the walking this week I should manage it by next week

Good Luck for tomorrow!!!

Mumbojumbo · 05/04/2007 07:34

Well done for 1lb off, you'll get to club 10 next week - don't be downhearted . Sometimes it's just sooooo frustating tho', isn't it.

Another quick recipe recommendation -
baked sweet potato with parmesan (heb) was yum last night.

BethAndHerBrood · 05/04/2007 21:46

I put 0.5lbs on. I was gutted this morning, and could quite happily have killed somebody.

Then this afternoon my AF started, so that's the reason. Don't know whether to laugh or cry.

rachfran · 05/04/2007 23:23

Lost 2.5lbs. I am well chiffed beause AF is here.
