Can I start a new thread? Hope you don't mind.
Just had a really bad weight gain at group tonight and need a fresh start. Thought a fresh new thread would help.
After a 6lb weight loss last weeek have just had a bad weigh in with a gain of 3 1/2lb. .
So tomorrow is a new day, start of a new week and I am going to work hard at it!!!
Who wants to join me for a good week ahead?

Summer is on it's way and we are all going to look good!

Hi All

I've had an idea.

I really like the swap that Champs organises.

Do you think we should do a swap?

Red parcel

Green parcel

Choc parcel .....................

etc etc

AL x

BethAndHerBrood · 20/04/2007 11:50

Oooooh! That's a good idea!!

How about a parcel of "5 syns or under" Free stuff tends to be fresh or tinned, bit heavy/tricky to post?!

Or should that be 6 syns and under?? AL, you know why!!!!

AlphaLolly · 20/04/2007 11:57

I was about to say ............. 6 syns and under def.

How often would we swap?

I could organise the list of swappees. Ok so if anyone thinks it is a good idea put on here by 28th April.

AL and BAHB so far

x

Yes the postage might be high but just think of the inspiration........... and motivation.

Go to shops to buy the items for another swapper

Posting it

Wondering whether they like it

Waiting for your parcel

Will give us something else to think about.

Would make the parcel cost be no more than £5 and you can add extra if you want

x

fireflyfairy2 · 20/04/2007 16:06

Sounds like a great idea!!!!

Would each item in the parcel have to be under 6 syns, or the whole parcel??

(dh is at home today & daily cooks is on, it looks mouth watering!)

BethAndHerBrood · 20/04/2007 16:14

Each item, or otherwise AL is going to have a very long thin parcel!!!

Mmmmmm......I wonder what that could be?!

fireflyfairy2 · 20/04/2007 17:05

Cool!! Sounds good

I'm up for it anyway

Wondering what to have for dinner tonight.

Just had 2 green & black's bites @ 1 syn each, they are delicious!!

AlphaLolly · 20/04/2007 17:46

FF2 - What you had so far - green or red.

Your G & B Choc - melt it and dip marshmallows in 1 syn a marshmallow. Put in the fridge...........................

AlphaLolly · 20/04/2007 17:47

BAHB ROFLMAO

AlphaLolly · 20/04/2007 17:49

AlphaLolly · 20/04/2007 18:06

AL x

BethAndHerBrood · 20/04/2007 18:12

here you go.

fireflyfairy2 · 20/04/2007 18:37

Green day.

Had pineapple & apple sliced with muller light for brekkie.

Cheese & brocolli pasta topped with HEa cheese followed by more pineapple for lunch.

Dh is making pasta now, with a sauce: Canned tomatoes, tomato puree, onions, mushrooms, garlic, peppers, pepper & some bacon. There's garlic bread too.... but I'll just have a slice of that

Syns so far are: 2 (green & black's) Wonder how many syns are in a slice of garlic bread???

Will look @ link for the swap now!

Thanks Christie
Sorry to hear you are feeling fed up at the moment. Success Express eh? You go girl. Good on you for sticking at it though. I reckon you'll do well this week and you'll have lots of emoticons on your posts next week.
Well, what's this swap thing all about then? Sounds interesting. I think I'll give it a miss for the moment thanks (too much going on in RL for me to think about anything else at the moment). Sounds fun though. Let us know how it goes and perhaps I'll do it another time.
Not a good day for me diet wise today. Haven't eaten enough and have picked on chocolate a bit. DH are going to relax tonight with a few glasses of wine and a chinese and then I'm back on tomorrow. Already have a slimming world tandoori chicken defrosting as I type. (Remember - the one I made a couple of weeks back and then found the oven wasn't heating up )
Have a good weekend everyone.
Sparkler xx

How're we all doing?

Is everyone having the Saturday night slump, or is it just me?

Glass of wine, pkt of crisps, chillin'. Have been very good so far this week though so the crisps are a treat!!

loobysmum · 21/04/2007 23:00

Hi guys. Guess everyone is having a more exciting Sat night than us Firefly! Just watching Dame Edna after having a "home made" Indian curry night. I made SW "Smash Bhajis" (sounds like an Indian tennis player!!) Has anyone else tried them?? Can't quite get my head round the idea of making bhajis with Smash but they were actually quite good - and quite realistic. the recipe was for onion bhajis but I made them with onion, chillis, coriander and mixed veg! Yummee! Followed this up with a quorn curry with spinach and green lentils in a Rogan Josh sauce (Morrisons) which is 20.5 syns the jar, but I only had about a quarter and am fighting the urge to go back for seconds. The bhajis are helping as they are very filling. Christie, if you are on here, keep your pecker up. You can do it. Let us know how you get on with Success Express. It didn't exist when I was at SW before and I'm kind of scared to try it as it was so drummed into me that you can't mix green and red. Believe it can have v. good results tho'.

Those onion bhajis sound delicious!! Are they free on green??

Today I had a large fruit salad for breakfast & am having a late lunch now of pasta with a red wine sauce & 42g of mozarella over the top.. the cheese is so stringy & lovely!

Wonder how AL got on at her uncles wedding!?

Sparkler1 · 22/04/2007 17:40

Oh dear it's all gone wrong for me since weigh in. Had kebab and chips Thursday night, Indian takeaway Friday night and then out with the girls last night for a life times worth of syns drinking wine.
Sigh - I must get myself sorted out otherwise my lovely weight loss from last week will creep back on. I'm only half a pound away from my half stone award as well.

Come in the naughty corner with me sparkler. I've just eaten a whole cheesecake.

I blame my husband.

loobysmum · 22/04/2007 20:56

Sitting here exhausted after wrestling a screaming 2yr old into her bed at the end of a day-long tantrum. Read your post with green-eyed envy Sparkler. I'd happily put on a full stone - or more - for a night out with the girls right now!

The bhajis really are quite good. I picked up the recipe at class. They are free on green and I served them with a dip made with natural yoghurt and mint. The recipe is:
176g Original Smash (1 packet)
10 fl oz Boiling Water
1.5 tsp Cumin Powder
1 tsp Curry Powder
1 tsp Chilli Powder
3 Onions
2 Eggs

Mix dried spices into Smash powder
Add water
Chop onions (I used frozen)and add to mix
Whisk eggs and add to bind.

Divide into balls - size of your choice - and cook in a preheated oven at 200degC for approx 60-90 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes about 12 "normal-sized" bhajis.

I added fresh chilli, coriander and mixed veg. Also a tsp of turmeric and missed out curry powder. They tasted quite authentic so I was pleasantly surprised as I normally hate Smash at the best of times, and imagined this would just be "curried Smash". Give 'em a go Firefly and I hope you like them too.

fireflyfairy2 · 22/04/2007 21:50

Thanks for the recipe loobysmum I will try them maybe at the weekend again

Sparkler, it's hard somtimes isn't it? Especially when we have had a gppd weight loos one week & then crave foods the next.

I am hoping I will have lost something this week, but my weight yo-yos up & down all the time.

BAHB.... please tell me it wasn't strawberry cheesecake, or I'll just cry I love that! How many syns are in one of those? Or are we trying not to think of that??
