And a fresh new start....

bum bum bum - put on 1.5lbs this week. Serves me right I haven't really been trying and have been losing anyway so I have just let it slide slowly. Good incentive for me to crank up a gear again - and stop buying M&S half price chocolate puddings

Jackie are you going to do weight losses this week - we can alternate if you like?

suejonez · 08/03/2007 09:59

I came back from Kazakhstan to a broken fridge freezer - just what I needed, the cost and hassle of replacing my fridge freezer with jet-lag and a new baby.

Sue - yes, I'm happy to do the results this week .

JackieNo · 08/03/2007 10:17

(and by 'hides' obviously I mean 'stuffs the last one in her gob')

Fauve · 08/03/2007 10:22

Sue, that's a great article. If you do a book - which we all think you should - you must have a PR person for the book tour, so you might as well get one in now, to manage the media for you. (I'm actually not joking, here!) Possibly not Max Clifford, though.

Weight-wise, I've stayed the same, yaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwn. This plateau is boring beyond belief. Vigorous gardening called for today, if I can shift my butt.

littlemisssensible · 08/03/2007 11:15

Sue I'm sorry to hear about the gain...its easy to let things slide a bit isn't it, but I'm sure you'll turn it around this week!

I've put on another lb this week BUT....

I'm not getting down about it this week though because:-

  1. My hormonally challenged bod has decided that a visit from Aunty Flo would be wonderful. And to make up for the fleeting, afternoon tea type visits we've had of late we're going for a 'all the stops out' BIG celebration!
  1. Whilst my weight has gone up lb my body fat percentage has fallen by .5% so maybe all that exercise is paying off!
suejonez · 08/03/2007 11:57

surprisingly not too down about the gain - as I said it serves me right. Hopefully will get me to focus a bit more - and I've been having things I shouldn;t in my days at work eg chicken satay and noodles from Spittalfields market (very greasy), cookies etc. Knocked that on the head today and brought in baked beans to go with the baked potato I plan to buy...

Yep, work tends to be my downfall too! It's sooooo easy to give in and have my biccy ration (our senior consultant - my father! - allows us 3 biccys in the morning and 2 in the afternoon!)

It's also easy to pop into Sainsbury's on the way in to get a healthy sandwich....and come out with half price choclate cakes/puddings/snacks or 2 for one choccy bars which are just to good an offer to ignore!

Dh has been making me a salad every morning so that I can walk virtuously past. Doesn't help with the biccys though!

twoisenoughmum · 08/03/2007 13:10

I'm afraid I've forgotten how to email my weight to you JackieNo. Can I trouble you for a reminder? Thank you kindly.

JackieNo · 08/03/2007 13:14

NO worries, twoisenoughmum - just email it to [email protected] .

littlemisssensible · 08/03/2007 13:14

Hi Twoisenoughmum,

The email address is [email protected]

twoisenoughmum · 08/03/2007 13:44

Thank you both. Have emailed.

CheesyFeet · 08/03/2007 14:56

No email from me this week, I didn't make my weigh-in

I wouldn't even like to speculate, my bathroom scales are far too dodgy to draw any conclusions from.

Definitely back on the wagon now after Tuesday's cake fest... IBS is playing up so I know I've been naughty.

JackieNo · 08/03/2007 15:31

Well I've just weighed, and haven't changed, which is a great relief, as I've been pretty lax food-wise over the last week. Mind you, maybe it's going to hit me next week...

CheesyFeet · 08/03/2007 15:33

Have we heard from MrsJC yet?

JackieNo · 08/03/2007 15:38

Nope, still no news, as far as I know...

EeyoreIsFab · 08/03/2007 19:02

Hi All - just 1/2lb loss again this week.

I just can't seem to apply myself to it recently - was doing well today then DH came home really hungry and we just shared a (small) box of biscuits we had left over from Christmas - oopps!

Time just seems to rush by me at the moment too - haven't had a chance to read rest of thread. Perhaps I should make my next target to log in every day!

agalch · 08/03/2007 23:19

Hi all

Put on half a lb this week.Have felt fed up/low all week and not trying very hard.AF also turned up this morning

Have joined the gym thoWent for my induction today, was really nervous.I am officially unfit lol.Am getting up at 6am tomorrow to do my 1st session so wish me luck!!!

JackieNo · 09/03/2007 08:09

Hey - MrsJC's had the baby! Henry Marlow, born on 8th March at 7.42 pm. He was 10 pounds 4 ounces and is 'very hungry'. Apparently they'll be keeping her in for a few days, so we won't expect to see her posting on MN just yet!

JackieNo · 09/03/2007 08:13

Oh yes, and there was one person who emailed, whose MN identity I didn't know - I've emailed you back, hope you can let me know on here who you are (once I'm in work, I'll go through the list from the hotmail and tally up with this thread, can probably work it out that way...).

Fauve · 09/03/2007 09:17

10 lb!

Fauve · 09/03/2007 09:18

And 4 oz!

JackieNo · 09/03/2007 09:20

Actually, according to twentypence, who's actually been to see her, it was 5 oz .

JackieNo · 09/03/2007 09:23

Other thread announcing the birth of MasterJC here .
