And a fresh new start....

Sue - are you back at work today? Good luck with it, hope it all goes well.

suejonez · 05/03/2007 10:27

Yes I am MOn, Weds Thurs this week.

CM rang in sick this morning not a good start but my lovely mum has come up trumps and has him.

Ooh - in at the deep end then! Nice for DS to be with your mum though. Are you finding it strange, or have you slotted back in quite easily? I think I spent the first day back in a kind of fog of confusion, and missing DD and then DS, but after that it was pretty much OK.

CheesyFeet · 05/03/2007 13:11

Best of luck Sue... how annoying about the CM though. Good job your Mum is at hand

Agalch, one binge won't break your diet. My Mum is also trying to lose a lot of weight and she says that you have to have a break from a long term diet every now and again otherwise you'd go mad. After all, you still have a life to live outside the diet and a night/weekend/week of eating badly won't make a huge amount of difference if you are losing weight over a long period of time.

Think of it in terms of giving your metabolism a boost - after all you need to keep eating to keep your metabolism going, if you cut down all the time it just slows down and it gets harder to lose weight.

suejonez · 05/03/2007 14:51

OOh - I'm famous!

JackieNo · 05/03/2007 14:58

Wow! Great article. Lots of quotes from you, too. Fame and fortune, eh (well, just fame I guess)? Are you going to get a couple of copies to keep for Daniel when he's older?

littlemisssensible · 05/03/2007 15:15

What a brilliant article Sue! Can I get your autography please?

suejonez · 05/03/2007 15:44

Have got my family down in Wales to rush out and buy some. I laughed at the description "city high flier". Though in Llanelli anyone with a job is considered to be a high flier!

I'm told the photos are nice so I'm trying to get copies.

OP posts:
JackieNo · 05/03/2007 15:50

I think your name should be 'CityHighFlierSueJonez' for a while. Are you surviving at work OK?

suejonez · 05/03/2007 20:40

work was OK but I didn't get to my mums until 6.45 by which time she'd bathed him . I don;t want her to and would rather he went to bed a little later so that I can bath him and put him to bed in his normal routine but I decided that the day she bailed me out wasn't the time to mention it!

The journey home felt like it took forever, think I am going to have to negotiate a slightly eariler leaving time to try to be home for 6.15.

OP posts:
JackieNo · 05/03/2007 20:49

Good idea - makes all the difference being able to keep the routine going, I think. For both of you. Glad you survived - will he be at the CM tomorrow, do you think?

suejonez · 05/03/2007 21:11

No I have tomorrow off - for March we are doinf 1 day CM, 1 day me, 1 day mum, 1 day Cm, 3 days me. I thought it would help him if I split his days at the cm up a bit as he know her least well.

Ooh blimey journalist from press association has asked to interview me now! I'm thinking about it - don't want to trade fame for intrusion! Perhaps they will offer me shedloads of money like the kiss and tell stories! Should I recruit Max Clifford?

OP posts:
JackieNo · 05/03/2007 22:05

Hey - you'll be in 'Hello' before we know it - suejonez shows us round her lovely home. What will you say if they ask you about Borat?

ForcesSweetheart · 06/03/2007 19:20

Arrgghhh. My new freezer (4 weeks old) has gone on the fritz! The Scot in me can't see good food go to waste so I'm afraid it's breaded camembert for dinner.

JackieNo · 06/03/2007 20:51

Yum - breaded camembert. I've been in a rebellious mood today, but haven't gone off the deep end food-wise, just eaten more than normal. I just wish I knew what I was rebelling against.

JackieNo · 06/03/2007 20:52

Oh, and should have said about your freezer, ForcesSweetheart. I guess it's still under warranty, but that doesn't solve the immediate problem.

JackieNo · 07/03/2007 08:26

It's pretty much D-Day for MrsJohnCusack - I think the induction is booked for any time now, so look out for news from her. Lots of BigMoFos vibes heading your way, MrsJC .

Can we use as a 'red in the face from pushing' emoticon?

CheesyFeet · 07/03/2007 10:05

perhaps

would be a good way of describing it JackieNo

CheesyFeet · 07/03/2007 10:09

Well I had a really shitty day yesterday... in a nutshell... 5am start, traffic jams for 5 hours...missed meeting coz of traffic... 3 hour drive back to office to receive bollocking for incomplete work (not my fault)... crashed hire car... drank wine... had heated discussion with dh... dd woke up and stayed awake all night

sigh

on the way back from my missed meeting I stopped at Sainsburys and bought a box of chocolate brownie chunks and ate the lot in the car

feeling better today and am back on the fruit fest

I missed my weigh in last night too so let's just assume that I lost 5lb this week. Where's me crown then

JackieNo · 07/03/2007 10:18

Love the labour emoticons, CheesyFeet.

You did have a completely cr@p day, didn't you - you poor thing. Any one of those things would be enough to drive me to chocolate, so I think you were very restrained, under the circumstances. I hereby award you a chocolate crown (don't eat it all at once)

ForcesSweetheart · 07/03/2007 11:28

LOL cheesyfeet. Sorry you had such a crap day. Well done you on that stunning loss! Unfortunately for you, I lost 158lb this week, so the crown goes to me.

Freezer is still under warranty but the food's all still gotta be binned. Bl**dy Hotpoint better compensate me, I'm damned if I'm gonna have my insurance premiums raised by claiming on it coz of their faulty freezer.

P.S. I ate FOUR camembert's with about half a jar of cranberry sauce!

JackieNo · 07/03/2007 11:29

Yum. What about the rest of it? Or do you just not need to go shopping for a week now? I'd have had to have eaten quite a lot of ice cream if that happened to us. It would be tough, but I think I'd manage.

ForcesSweetheart · 07/03/2007 12:28

Managed to salvage a couple of things (pizza for lunch today!) but most of it has had to be binned.

CheesyFeet · 08/03/2007 09:36

FS, you have to outdo me every time don't you . How crap about the freezer. Hope you get it all sorted

CF wipes remains of chocolate crown from round her mouth
