Anyone doing this? Would love a buddy or three. I'm starting today. If all goes to plan this is the last #notadiet healthy eating plan I'll be on forever! Bets? FFS, there we go, think success!

Back on track with four pounds loss overall its in three weeks but I was never going to be able to lose lots as nt too far from where I want to be.

A lot of what she said is still resonating with me, not doing the 20 mins as just too much on my to do list so doing weights and pull ups when I feel like it but committing to the 10000 steps.

Have you got into a rhythm with food?
I've kept mine simple
Omelette or Bircher muesli or smoothie
Salad with protein
Oatcakes and hummus
Meat and veg at night in various forms
Water
I feel like I'm making progress and have normalised my eating by setting it the day before, also saving money as not wasting on random purchases I just fancy

teddycat · 12/10/2016 06:59

Oh and I've had to use porridge oats instead of oat bran as apparently I love to eat oat bran raw by the spoonful Confused

mrspotatolegs · 13/10/2016 07:06

77.7 kg this morning (from a high point of 80 a month or so ago). It's not earth shatteringly fast weight loss (roughly a pound a week) but I think it shows more than the scales suggest. I'm hoping that's because I've gained muscle and lost fat, but I might be just deluding myself.

I eat so often with other people it's hard to stick to the proper recipes but my eating habits are transformed. I think I may be eating too many nuts but other than that I've been really strict - no potatoes rice bread sugar choc wine etc. And smaller portions, lots of water.

So yes I have a routine:
Early morning workout with lemon water and tons of water
Yoghurt with oatbran and fruit (often frozen berries warmed up)
Nuts and apple, or one or the other
Salad, but I'll switch to home made soup soon
Cracker with nut butter or houmous
Dinner from the book, or just low fat, low carb, smallish portion.

And through the day either 10000 steps + or an hours biking, or tennis, or a combo of those.

How's everyone else going?

I'm still losing though it is slowing down now. Lost another 0.5 of a lb this week and my sister noticed the other day so it is starting to show. Smile. Out for dinner tonight so will eat and drink more than usual but back on it tomorrow. Hoping for another pound or two by half term - that'll take me to about 10lbs lost. I'll take that!

mrspotatolegs · 15/10/2016 10:20

I was in France for work. Ate bread and cake and drank wine and beer. Back on it today. I still have at least 2 stone to lose. This feels healthy but it is slow. Must get out of bed and do workout!

Hanging in there. I'm mostly doing ok on the food though am letting the odd white carb sneak in now, especially in the evenings. Daytime is fine. Tend to have Greek yoghurt and a few rasps for breakfast, lunch is almost always a supermarket fruit pot of melon and berries with some feta cheese sliced/crumbled in, apple and almonds or oatcakes with cashew butter for snacks.

Still struggling to fit in exercise. I did manage a 35 minute stint today and I am amazed how much stronger I feel now. Getting some definition in arms and legs too - and I almost have a two pack on my tum! So it's all good, even though weight loss has slowed down. Hoping for a pound off when I weigh in tomorrow.

Off on holiday on Monday so will relax a bit - hoping I won't come back 5lbs heavier again!!

How are other's doing?

PushingElephantsUpStairs · 30/10/2016 19:00

Hi all. Can I join you? I have had the book for a few months and I finally feel ready to give it a go. Did a sainsburys order today for some ingredients and have planned a daily routine. I'm an all or nothing person so I need something that is not just about eating or exercise otherwise I won't stick with it. I found the book really inspirational as well, just hope I have the willpower!

How's everyone getting on?

walruswhiskers · 01/11/2016 06:50

Yes please do! It's a quiet thread but I am genuinely excited by the way I'm doing. Hopefully you will be too.

Had a week off while on holiday but got back to it on Sunday and I've now lost what I put back plus another half a pound. So that's 10lbs gone since mid September. I was sort of hoping to be under 11 stone by the end of this month (I'm 5ft 7) but this morning I feel as if I could break that well before then. Maybe I'll aim for 10st12 on dec1st - that'll be a stone. And only 2lbs away from my original goal of 10st10 so that should be well achievable by xmas.

PushingElephantsUpStairs · 01/11/2016 21:12

Wow, 10lb since September is amazing!

It's my first day today - it's gone ok. As you can tell from the time I have broken the no screens after 9pm rule!

I have had a headache all afternoon, was this the same for you? Does it stop?!?

I agree with others that the exercises are really hard. Think that'll be the toughest element to maintain.

walruswhiskers · 02/11/2016 06:31

Yes, the headache was a bit grim. I think it is linked to cutting down on sugars. Lasted about 3-4 days I think, but I'd already lost a couple of pounds by then so was motivated to keep going.

PushingElephantsUpStairs · 02/11/2016 19:12

Have no headache today so must be getting used to it already! So tempted to skip exercise tonight, found it really hard yesterday. Might do a 15 minute Davina video instead, think it'll be a bit more motivating!

DesertIslandPenguin · 30/12/2016 16:16

I've had the book for ages but never made a start. I'm a bit twitchy about everyone being given the same portion size regardless of start weight. Has anyone had lots to lose (5+ stone) and been okay with the food?

PushingElephantsUpStairs · 31/12/2016 12:38

I gave up after three weeks, I blame it on Christmas parties etc. I allowed myself some 'bad' days with alcohol and whatever I wanted to eat and it was a slippery slope from there! Going to start again from next week.

I bought the cookbook and there are loads more recipes so hopefully will be easier.

Desertislandpenguin -* i am definitely no expert but the book says you repeat the transform stage until you reach where you want to be in terms of your body. She says it's around 6 weeks to drop a dress size. Then after that you do 70-80% on method.

DesertIslandPenguin · 31/12/2016 17:14

I'm going to start on Wednesday, I think. I'm on my own most of the week as DH will be working away so that seems like a good time to focus 100% on me. I won't be doing her exercises as I much prefer the gym but will try to do more walking every day.

I am mildly irritated that the book (first one) uses so many different types of milk. Some recipes are skimmed, semi, 1%, 2%, and even soya. I'm going to buy some 1% and leave it at that.

DesertIslandPenguin · 31/12/2016 17:19

Oh, this might be a silly question, but what is this cherry concentrate she uses? I adore cherries and have never heard of it!!

Sillybillypoopoomummy · 03/05/2017 22:08

I'm 3 days in and getting up 6am to walk 2 miles before breakfast to make sure I am getting my steps in. Starting at 64kg and ideally would prefer to be about 58... my hips are killing me.
Snacks are OK (doing the apple/almonds in the morning and so far the houmous/peas in the afternoon). However am struggling with making breakfasts and lunches to take to work with me. You can't batch salad...

on the plus side, everything so far has been really nice - I have the cookbook as well as the lean for life book and it has a lot more stuff in.

Sillybillypoopoomummy · 03/05/2017 22:09

has anyone got that taijin powder/spice??
