Anyone doing this? Would love a buddy or three. I'm starting today. If all goes to plan this is the last #notadiet healthy eating plan I'll be on forever! Bets? FFS, there we go, think success!

I have started. Smile Thank you Mrs, this thread has spurred me on.

I weighed myself- it wasn't as bad as I expected!

I'm feeling a little cotton headed. However, I am determined to do this. I'm not hitting my target of 2/3 coffee & teas a day but I have dramatically cut down. I've been missing alcohol! This weekend without a glass of something chilled, argh. But being leaner, fitter and more organised will be worth it!

How is everyone getting on? When do your house guests leave Mrs?

Thanks everyone for the inspiration, it's kept me going in the first week. A couple of pounds down but my stomach seems much flatter too. I've found the exercises hard though. I'm hoping I'll manage to keep going to lose a stone and a half. The breakfast Birchers are brilliant

They leave this Sunday. But I seem to have endless events to negotiate. A party tonight, Sunday lunch with friends, weekends away next week and the week after... It's really difficult when you're with other people, particularly if they've cooked for you. I'm still unsure whether to warn people in advance (after all the rest of the family will eat whatever yummy thing they've made). What do you all think?

I've just started this on Thursday. It seems quite sustainable at the moment and I am really motivated. I need to lose a stone ideally, but am pushing it to around 10st as my goal as she says to increase goal by an extra 30%. Was 11st10 on weds and have already dropped to 11st7.
Be good to have some support on this thread!

I've been following this for about 5 weeks now

1.5 inches off my waist, 2 inches off my hips, 1 inch off my thighs and I haven't even been following the exercises to the letter!

The snacks in between definitely keep me off anything sugary during the week, and I tend to buy whichever fruit is on offer (peaches last week) and cut and freeze them to go into the smoothies.

Mrs, is this a normal situation for you? Socially etc? I would be tempted to tell friends who are cooking for you. I would try and keep 80/20 if possible. Even with house guests, you're doing well.

Walrus, well done! How did you find this weekend?

Walrus, that's great. I need to do my measurements. Thank you for the fruit tip too.

How is everyone else coming along?

My weekend was okish. However a couple things did jump into my mouth, that are not on plan. But I'm plodding on. Enjoyed working out, I have more energy too. I won't let the negative sabotage what I have achieved so far.

Still hanging in there. I'll be a week in on Thursday and really hoping I'll hit 4lbs off by then. Don't feel hungry and do feel energised now that the sugar withdrawal headache has subsided. Quite enjoying the exercises too except that awful pike press-up which nearly finishes me off every time.

Weigh in tomorrow. I've basically just decided to do no carb with friends. I'm sticking to the principles pretty much all the time, but not the exact recipes. Exercise is going well. As I said before not the actual ones though!! As before I feel better but let's see what the scales say! (I have 3 stone at least to lose) :(

Ok, so a week in and I've lost about 4lb. But more encouragingly, I've lost between half an inch and an inch across each of bust, waist, hips and thighs - this makes me happy and I am already looking better in clothes. So happy to continue.

We are going away at half term which would be week 6. I aim to stick to it as much as possible in that time, then relax a bit while away. Hoping I'll have lost a stone by then - that's what the literature seems to think is reasonable.

Well done Walrus!
Turns out it wasn't weigh in for me today. I'm starting week 4. I am thinner (esp on my face, helpful (not!)). We'll see about weight though. Next week.

I started yesterday, hoping to lose 10ibs realistically after a summer of letting loose. I was in exactly the same position this time last year, summer is my downfall.

I won't lie I'm hungry, but probably just cause I've got used to gorging. The food is gorgeous and on the bright side, because I'm hungry it Spurs me on to make the meals. Love the snacks but I think I need to delay some till the end of the day

Her body is amazing and is giving me some motivation.

She is not what i expected, her living through that pain constantly is inspiring.

Am aching from the exercises and can't complete in one go but am sure it will get better.

Well done Walrus! That's great. Mrs obviously whatever your doing, keep it up.
Teddycat, well put. I'm in a similar situation.

I'm really pleased, I've lost a 1lb this week. 3 n'bit since I started. I haven't had the best of weeks either.

Another lb off today. Am wearing tweed shorts and tights in honour of feeling a bit slimmer/more confident. Probably too old at 43 but I DONT CARE!!Grin

hungry last night, but my god food is tasting amazing it's like my taste buds are on fire! I'm savouring every mouthful and really concentrating on the food (maybe this is the way it's meant to be)

Getting into the swing of the food, I'm sticking to the same 2 breakfasts then switching lunch every few days after making a batch, dinner is not so different just adding in oven chips for the others or jacket.

I'm sore from exercises and still can't do full minute for the press up types.

Looks like it might just be me now... Well I fell off the wagon a bit at the weekend but have clawed it back now. Hoping to be back at 4lbs off tomorrow and then onwards.

I'm still on it! Weigh in today. 4 weeks in and I'm down to 79kg. That's not much below where I started but I gained in the first two weeks - it's 2kg down on 2 weeks ago.
The main thing is that I am thinner. Trousers are looser, belly flatter (far from flat! But flatter). And even more importantly I feel much fitter.
Keep it up everyone!

I'm still in! First week weigh in and I've lost 4ibs I'm over the moon, realistically it wasn't 4 of fat as had period last week but I feel it too. Also hunger definitely not there any more but I'm keeping one snack till evening as I tend to be hungrier then. The meals are really enjoyable and getting the concept now I think

Also thinking about when I reach my goal weight rather than if

I just looked back at my targets at the top of the thread. Bloody hell. Ambitious. It'll take 6 months I reckon, at least! (3 stone basically)
Keeping on ...

Another pound gone today - am v happy. Still feeling motivated though I am in week 3 now so should be upping the exercises... Really seeing the difference now though. 3 more weeks to our holiday and would like to be under 11st by then if possible (11st5 this morning so 6lbs off). Ooh - and I hit "healthy" bmi today too!

Report
walruswhiskers · 08/10/2016 07:44

So I'm still going with this. 3 weeks in and 8lbs off. Finding the exercise harder to fit in now though the results are really noticeable, especially waist and thighs. Is it just me talking to myself now? I don't mind if it is!!

Sticking to the food but the twenty mins a night is not going to work, it's not that I haven't got twenty minutes it's that when I get home from work and will probably have run that day anyway I want to flop for the night and it's just another thing on my to do list, after two weeks three pounds now as think I fluctuated during tom. 10000 steps is still aim and ucceeding most days, will defi buy the cookbook for Christmas

I get up at 6.30 to do a workout, which means I'm knackered by now and go to bed early. DP who is a night owl finds it v irritating but it works for me. I'm not strict enough probably - like today DS made a cake and I had a tiny bit - but it feels sustainable. Fingers crossed for next weigh in.

I seem to have got a bit stuck this week although we had visitors all weekend and I did partake of some off plan stuff like crisps and wine. Not gained any but no loss since this time last week. Still motivated though - hoping for even a pound by weigh in on Thursday to keep me going. How are others doing?
