I have just started my weight loss plan for 2016, having lost a quite a lot of weight last year (3 stone). Had regained some over the last couple months, but it is coming off now. Would love to chat to others also on low carb, or VLCD, so we can support each other and share tips etc. Grin

Welcome sakura I am day 6 of exante started at 14 stone. The highest I weighed was 15 stone at the start of my last pregnancy. I am a short too.

Well I have been doing exante for a week now with no cheating. I have lost about 4 pounds. I know I should be thrilled but I have in the past lost more than this on week one of Rosemary Conley without the slump in energy I am feeling. Maybe this I am losing fat not water. Anyway ordered 100 items yesterday so will persevere for another month at least.
Off to the gym for the 1st time this week to do a light session. Going to weigh myself on their scales and will do this weekly in future.

SakuraRose · 05/02/2016 11:27

I've been sure not to get on the scales yet, so tomorrow morning will be the test of how well the first week went. I've not cheated though, so I hope to see some loss. It's a bit cold to be drinking all this water, brrr...

O dear my scales are under weighing. Actually I weigh 13 13.

Hello everyone and happy Sunday. Browyeyedgirl I think 4 1lbs is quite a bit actaully. More than most people lost on an average diet. You can get the odd week where weight loss appears to slow then you get a whoosh as your body releases water. Smile

Thanks zeisty. Yes, I was comparing with week 1 of Rc but in fairness I loss maybe 3lb the 2nd week and than 1to 2lb after that. Wheras it seems that weight lossis more steady with this. How are you doing?

I've always had problems with weight. As a male I was anorexic at 22 with a weight of 69kgs at 179cms. A 26" waist was not healthy. But my eating issues turned on me since I gave up smoking and drinking some two decades ago in my late 30s. My lifestyle then (and what i now know was voluntary malnutrition) had successfully kept me the same weight as a teenager.

But I took up with food where I left off with smoking and drinking and ten years ago at some 102kgs and a nigh on 40" waist I sought the help of a VLCD diet plan. I used Lipotrim. It was hard, as hard as giving up any addiction but after a week or so I came to value the freedom from food shopping and living my life using a blender. ( i just used milk shake replacement meals ). I went down to 85kgs in under 3 months with a 32" waist. I looked terrible. It hurt to sit down...bony bum. My BMI hovered around 25-26 I could have walked out of Belsen. And of course its all about self-image.

Refeeding was problematic. Your body will fight tooth and nail to return you to its pre-diet size. This is where the real battle lies. Changing how and what you eat permanently. Lifestyle changes.

I became addicted to sugar in 2010 ( thank you chocolate digestives & the OU essay deadlines) - I've just hit the 100kgs again but i've never been so fit. Moobs R Us. I walk down the SW Coastal Path 5 miles five or six days a week. I cycle or swim three times a week. A resting heart rate of 60 and wonderful blood pressure. No cholesterol no nothing...but fat !

I've been trying Hoodia the African cactus plant appetite suppressant which seems to work for me. So the weight is coming off again albeit slowly. I'm also looking at Ephedrine and Caffeine - the method favoured by body builders - which is frowned upon; as I'm very active. If the results are not promising its back to the VLCD ~ I'm a shake only person. Fiddling with food for me is the kiss of death to my VLCD diet. Now that Lipotrim is double the price of its many competitors I'll try an alternative.

My target this time ( I go by waist size ) is a 36" maintainable waist - I don't give a rats arse whether this is BMI overweight or not.

I'll keep you posted.

Morning everyone, have sort of lost it for now, so many social events making it hard to me to get this last 20lb off. How are all you lot doing? Better I hope! Grin

Going fine thanks. Lost about 11 lbs in just over 2 weeks. However, got a birthday meal coming up and going away for Easter so will be on and off it too.

browneyedgirl1974 · 15/02/2016 18:29

Well maybe 10.
