sue, I haven't been on for a while, just checked back in. I don't know your full story but I've gathered the gist of it I think and I can't imagine how excited you must be, I will be thinking of you and your baby and popping by to read your blog too, which is going to be fascinating. Good luck and enjoy!

Dottydot · 25/10/2006 08:50

Numbernineteen - that's spooky because I was going to post today to say where's numbernineteen gone?! How are you - is everything going OK?

NumberNineteen · 25/10/2006 08:55

Hi, I am fine, thank you! How are you, dotty one? I've just been dreadfully busy with work and looking after various family and friends and so on and have been spread very thin! (ha ha, I wish) so I haven't had any time at all for essential personal tasks like mumsnetting and brushing my teeth. You know those days you cram so much in and are actually falling asleep on the stairs by nightfall. A calmer phase approaches, I think!

Dottydot · 25/10/2006 10:05

Glad you're OK. I'm fine - recovering from the usual cough/cold/stomach bug-type thing, so I can empathise with the falling asleep on the way to bed! The weight's coming off slowly but surely - I'm aiming to hit my goal weight (whatever that is - haven't decided yet!) by the summer... (seems long enough away to be possible! )

scarysuejonez · 25/10/2006 11:15

Thanks everyone.

Don't forget your sending me your weight losses this week.

suejonez at aol dot com

If it isn;t obvious from your email address please include your MN name, this week and total so far (as I don't have all WWB's records to work it out for myself).

I've had a dreadful week - started the week eating becaase I was unhappy and now eating to reward myself and because I won't be able o have cake from Starbucks for 2 months. Which is a bit of a laugh because I haven't had any for the past two months so why is it such a big deal!!

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 25/10/2006 13:45

Sue, I am sooo glad to hear your trip is about to happen...
Have just been on to the other thread and read it start to finish...
Huge congratulations, you must be sooo excited!!!

Well, after a week of cutting down on food, choosing healthy options and putting in an extra brisk walk every day, I have manged to lose the grand total of.... wait for it.......

1lb!!!

Never mind, it is a start, and a step in the right direction..... (that is what I am telling myself anyway.....)

Sue, having probs with computer, will try to email later if you need me to...

violeteyes · 25/10/2006 14:09

what wonderful happy news sue, was feeling cross for you when maddonna seemed to get baby so easy.....jost to think you will be a family with a lucky little bubba!
bound to lose weigjt in kaz-doesn't cold make you burn more calories lolif not, your baby will just have more of you to love!!

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 25/10/2006 14:21

It'll be the living on cabbage that'll do it .

Have emailed you, sue, and have put on the half pound that I lost last week. But I deserve it, it has to be said. Have eaten loads of chocolate, and not very small portions of food generally. Oh well, this week's done - on to the next one. AF has arrived, so maybe I'll be less chocolate-inclined this week.

Fauve · 25/10/2006 14:23

I'm working towards the summer, too, Dottydot That's when I get my mega shopping spree with a personal shopper somewhere posh >. 'Summer' is suitably ill-defined, isn't it?

I should get my stone award this week as I've dropped a whole bl@@dy stone since WWB started the Big MoFos. Some of it has been blood, sweat and tears but the results are gratifying and I'm extremely grateful to WWB and everybody else on here.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 25/10/2006 14:26

Well done you, Fauve. I'm already coveting clothes much more than I used to - and keep wanting to buy stuff, but also keep putting it off because I like to think I'll be smaller still in the not too distant future (although going on this week's performance, it may be the very distant future).

schneebly · 25/10/2006 14:30

to be showing my face considering I haven't been around for a while and have put on all the weight again but I just wanted to say to suejonez how excited I am for her! All the best - I hope it all goes smoothly for you.

And well done to all you who are still around and not piling all the weight back on!

Fauve · 25/10/2006 14:33

Hi Schneebly

Thanks, JackieNo. I'm deliberately not buying clothes, too, which is a bit tedious but all in a good cause, I reckon. Something of an inducement as well - can shop next summer.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 25/10/2006 15:17

Delayed gratification - it's quite satisfying, in a perverse kind of way, isn't it?

MorticiaRed · 25/10/2006 15:18

Don't be , Schneebly! I've just demolished a WHOLE PACKET of chocolate fingers. I wasn't even hungry. Now it's my turn to be xx

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 25/10/2006 16:29

what about my 1lb loss.... somebody SAY something....

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 25/10/2006 16:31

Sorry Peegeeweegeewitch - Congratulations, and very well done!

scarysuejonez · 25/10/2006 16:46

Peegeeweegeewitch - a pound is excellent and should be what you expect. You should be really pleased with yourself not thinking "oh only a pound" [frowny schol marm'ish emoticon]

Hi Scheebly and thanks - come and have a chat - doesn't matter if you've put it all back on, you've had a very difficult few months so give yourslef a break. Whats important is to try not to put any more on - why don't you weigh this week (forget your original weight, reset to whatever you weigh today) then set yourself a target to stay the same weight until Xmas (whilst weighing every week) then start losing again after Xmas. Would that work for you?

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 25/10/2006 16:47

Thank you Jackie, I just thought such an enormous achievement should be noted

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 25/10/2006 16:49

Sue, you are right, and I AM pleased, I guess I was hoping for more....

scarysuejonez · 25/10/2006 16:53

you will get more PG - another pound next week. Then another. Then another. Then another...

schneebly · 25/10/2006 17:28

Thank might me an idea SJ - thanks
To make things more difficult I am working 2-3 nights PW in a chinese restaurant and part of my wage is a meal - the food is lovely but the fried stuff is best! I need to get some discipline and stop getting the expensive fatty stuff just because it is free!

scarysuejonez · 25/10/2006 17:33

treat yourself to what you want on the last of the nights and stick to something unfried the other nights. Then make sure you weigh yourself once a week - you could probably manage to have what you want once a week if you were reasonable the rest of the week and still not put on. Or why not go for an extra walk the day after you have your fried meal.

schneebly · 25/10/2006 17:40

Very sensible talk SJ - Maybe I will have my favourite on a saturday night and go for a walk on Sunday and the other nights I will stick to a light chicken dish with boiled rice or something veggie. Thanks. I am just my own worst enemy, I know what to do but can't seem to do it - I am a totally compulsive eater.

Littlefish · 25/10/2006 18:25

Hip Hip Hoooooooooray SJ. I'm so, so, so pleased things are moving forward!

I'll track your progress on your website. Please try and let us know as soon as you have met Junior.

scarysuejonez · 25/10/2006 20:04

anymore weights on their way I only have a few?

How has your week been Littlefish - are you back on an even keel after your course yet?
