LOL LemonAieeeee! (I think I've added a few eatra E's on there!).

"I can't wait to be a granny" was a phrase often heard in our house.

(And if my little sister is lurking she'll know exactly who I am now. )

I just hear what I imagined to be a WWB'ish voice saying "Don't correct your spelling mistakes. We are not stupid. We will figure it out". I've been with the BigMoFo's for too long.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 22:18

Justamindlesszombiemum - poor you - sounds really tough going, but at least you got a lie-in of sorts to try to make up some of the sleep you lost. I've been eating particularly badly. Bought one of those huge bars of chocolate in order to add it to some cake mix I was going to make (had run out of cocoa powder), but in the end couldn't be bothered to add it, so have ended up eating it bit by bit over the weekend, starting (you've guessed it) in that classic place to eat 'in secret' - in the car just after I'd bought it. It's weird, because I'm really feeling good about myself and the way I'm looking at the moment, but still seem to be sabotaging myself.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 22:19

Good on you coppertop - it becomes ingrained, doesn't it.

Dottydot · 23/10/2006 22:21

Jackieno - I've just polished off an outrageous amount of dp's home made parkin (I wish she wasn't such a flipping good cook sometimes...), even though I've not been able to eat anything since Saturday! I'm truly rubbish sometimes...

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 22:23

Dottydot - it's really difficult not to beat ourselves up about it, isn't it. Also had apple crumble and custard this evening.

Dottydot · 23/10/2006 22:24

What are we like?! I'm sat here, feeling ill all over again just because I couldn't resist the sodding parkin.

Right. That's probably enough beating ourselves up - good job WWB's on holiday or we'd be in trouble by now. Onwards and upwards and here's to a slightly better day tomorrow!

CorpseBrideOfJohnCusack · 23/10/2006 22:26

hello MoFos
Can't keep up on this at all - but well done everyone, you've all done very well (said in quavery young Mr Grace voice)

it is pissing down with rain in NZ and cold, DD is being particuarly trying at nightime, and I have no friends and I'm really bored.

NOt concentrating on eating properly at all, but I don't appear to be piling on weight and I met my midwife this week and she wasn't too bad about my lardiness (honestly, we go through the list of things you could do wrong/have wrong with you and the only thing was weight, and yet still I feel so guilty like I'm giving the baby a terrible start in life). However, measuring 3 weeks ahead of myself, so terrified of an even bigger baby this time - might stop me stuffing my face? We'll see....

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 22:26

Absolutely dottydot. And if WWB doesn't tell us off, Suejonez might.

You around, sue? How are things? any progress?

CorpseBrideOfJohnCusack · 23/10/2006 22:27

apple crumble and custard

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 22:27

There's a bit left, MrsJC - here, please have it

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 22:28

(save me eating it)

CorpseBrideOfJohnCusack · 23/10/2006 22:30

oh yum
is my absolute favourite thing

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 22:33

Afraid it isn't home made. Tesco (crumble) and Waitrose (custard). But still delicious. I do actually make a mean crumble myself, but found this one in the freezer, and thought it needed using up (honest, guv).

Any news on houses MrsJC? Do I remember seeing on another thread that you've found one?

CorpseBrideOfJohnCusack · 23/10/2006 22:45

yes we do have a house. it should complete on Nov 10th and then I will be happy because I'll have a project and a home, and all our stuff should be delivered on Nov 13th. Hurrah!

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 22:47

Brilliant news. What's the house like? Is it near your parents' house (that's where you are atm, isn't it?)? Have you missed all your stuff? It'll be like Christmas come early!

CorpseBrideOfJohnCusack · 23/10/2006 22:51

I can't even remember what exactly is in our container! so it's going to be very exciting rediscovering it all - haven't seen it since August 30th/31st. Can't quite remember what furniture we brought and what we gave away....but have money set aside to buy decent new furniture so it's going to be FUN!
house doesn't look particularly near my parents but is actually only about 15 mins drive so it's perfect. It's not huge, but it's not tiny and it's got all the character things we wanted. V.small garden, but then we compromised on that to live in a lovely location that we didn't think we could afford and there is a big park/playground round the corner and a lovely river and swings/ducks etc. Also a swish new library/cafe with lots of things for children.

I can't wait to be settled. I'm not good at change so this has sorely tested me...

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 22:55

Sounds great, MrsJC. It must have been really difficult. I can sympathise: I hate not having 'my stuff' around me (although I could do with a lot less 'stuff' in general - decluttering would be a good thing, I think). Will keep fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

CorpseBrideOfJohnCusack · 23/10/2006 23:01

thankyou!
yes, we have a lot of stuff....they only just got it in the container because the man who quoted us underestimated just quite how much stuff we had - hence there's very little furniture in the container! (it's all books, cds, dvds, music, knick knackery, clothes, shoes, stuff, stuff , stuff). I love it though. I am determined my house here will be presentable and people (who?) will visit without us being ashamed of our crappy furniture and clutter/mess.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 23/10/2006 23:05

If you're worried you've got too much, maybe having been without it for a while will help you see any bits you could now do without more easily? Am very of you, as I love the idea of moving into a new house, and all the possibilities (mind you, am also aware that it can be very hard work).

Am heading off to bed now, so speak to you soon - look after yourself.

scarysuejonez · 23/10/2006 23:38

Bloody hell MrsJC, I missed you again - we are destined not to meet online .

No news yet - when I have a confirmed travel date there will be ticker tape going across the top of the mumsnet screen, I promise!

I'm having a truly hideous week with food having only just lost all teh weight I put on in my last truly hideous week, I'm a bit pissed off. The problem isn;t only that I'm eating for England (I had cauliflower cheese for breakfast ) but that when I'm stressed I forget to take my Metformin in the morning and end up on a half dose so I am far more prone to put weight on then even without the ridiculous eating pattern atm.

However I will be cracking the whip on Wednesday - so be ready to email me those weights...

scarysuejonez · 23/10/2006 23:39

PS - don;t you worry one bit about being ashamed of your furntiure when I come to stay MrsJC...

CorpseBrideOfJohnCusack · 23/10/2006 23:42

no no no I am here

(and all the shameful furniture went to the recycling thing at Kew)

am not surprised the eating has gone tits up with all the waiting you're having to do.
I met alittlebitshy and her DH and DD in the playground here on Sunday. was most wierd to not see her in HOunslow but then see her here. And it was blinking freezing

how is glorious West London?
