Hey ladies I need a weight loss buddy I need to lose 2 stone in ideally 2.5 months ready for the summer.
I'm 21 5"5 and 11st 11lbs.
I have a petite frame so its really taking strain now, my daughter is two.
My knees, back and hips hurt and I'm always tired. I'm losing weight but I find it better to have someone going through the same that I can work with and we can help each other. My oh is a health nut and I just feel fat and awful. Whos up for it? I don't want to be this version of me anymore!!

I felt really hungry today.

Logg1e I am a bit concerned about your food choices. I know the principle of mindful eating is that nothing need be excluded but your diet doesn't sound that healthy or balanced. I'm not surprised you are hungry what with doing the shred today! Could you include more protein, fruit veg and good fats,eg nuts/seeds and less of the cornflake cakes? Maybe other people have ideas on this too.

Logg1e · 10/04/2014 19:45

The cornflake cakes are those small ones you get on tubs, one mouthful each that we had on for one of the children's birthdays last week. I have some apples and nuts in so will try that as a replacement tomorrow.

Sorry, am rushing and that came out garbled.

I am roughly the same weight as you though not trying to lose as much as you because I know I can't because of the medication I'm on. But I have 4 almonds at lunch - almonds are the lowest calorie nut! And a brazil nut and 4 or 5 pecan nuts as a snack between lunch and dinner as they are yummy. I also start the day with quaker oats (the plain kind) made into porridge with 175ml milk as it's very filling and has no added sugar. I have an apple after lunch and a small portion of home made fruit salad after dinner. The little clementines you can get are very good for that.

Logg1e · 11/04/2014 12:11

What do you have for lunch orch?

orchidella · 11/04/2014 19:14

I usually have two slices of seeded wholegrain bread, watercress and cherry tomatoes. Then I could have with them tinned sardines, reduced sugar baked beans and a rasher of lean bacon, 2 poached eggs, or a 35g mini tub of light philadelphia topped with ham. This week I made a big batch of mackerel pate with one packet of smoked mackerel, one 35 g mini light Philadelphia and lots of yoghurt and have been having that on toast. Also I make a very easy vegetable pulse and lentil soup one week (no peeling or chopping!) and have that with a little bit of cheddar. After that I have the apple, a coffee and one rich tea biscuit and a v small amount of dark chocolate.

As you can see this is quite a lot more than you! Smile

Day 20

Eating: Cocopops replaced with a milkshake of about 50g of porridge oats and a banana plus the usual soya milk. Dinner was a salad. In the afternoon I splurged and ate half an Easter egg, a bag of crisps and a kitkat. Didn't really eat any tea, ate a small sausage roll, tomatoes and cucumber.

Extra Exercise: exercise/dance video thing with my daughter and her friends, about 45 minutes long.

Motivation: 60%

Hello, please can I join? Need to motivate myself. I'm 5ft4, weigh 10st3 and would like to lose about a stone. Last summer I worked really hard to lose my pregnancy weight and lost over two stone. I have managed to maintain weight since then but for some reason I just can't get back the motivation back to lose the rest. I'm a comfort / binge eater I guess. I do lots of exercise so just need to sort out my eating habits. I have to calorie count because it's the only way I feel totally in control!
How can I motivate myself to stick to it for more than a couple of days though??? Argh!

orchidella · 14/04/2014 12:12

Logg1 Glad you are eating more protein like the tuna and good carbs like porridge Smile Well done on the weight loss! I'm on myfitnesspal also and find it helpful and there's community boards there to post on too. Guybrush I recommend myfitnesspal for motivation as having to log your calories each day for your goal helps you to focus and carry on.

Hello, I'd like to join as well. Really looking for somewhere boy post a food diary to to keep me on track. I'm 30, 5ft2 and weigh 59kg (9st4). I had DC2 3 months ago and DC1 was recently 2 and I'm breastfeeding do want to take it easy diet wise. My goal at the moment is to get down to 54kg (8st7) by the end of July. I started eating super healthily a week ago and lost a kg since. So that's 5 more kg in 15 weeks which sounds doable if breastfeeding doesn't get into the way. Last time I held on toy baby weight til DC started solids. I'm trying to loose weight by eating as clean as possible. I've given up junk food and sugar which got easier after a week. I tried the 30 day shred but only got to 8 minutes as the jumping jacks were putting too much stress on my currently knackered pelvic floor. Did the first run of the couch to 5k program last night and that was ok. I'm so unfit though, it's unreal.

Sorry for my odd typos. Using a kindle while feeding the baby...
