Hey ladies I need a weight loss buddy I need to lose 2 stone in ideally 2.5 months ready for the summer.
I'm 21 5"5 and 11st 11lbs.
I have a petite frame so its really taking strain now, my daughter is two.
My knees, back and hips hurt and I'm always tired. I'm losing weight but I find it better to have someone going through the same that I can work with and we can help each other. My oh is a health nut and I just feel fat and awful. Whos up for it? I don't want to be this version of me anymore!!

Well, I'm still learning, but I'm trying to plan a meal I really want, and to eat a bit of chocolate or fruit (the things I normally snack on) at the same time, just so I break the habit of grazing.
Also, by eating at just three times, I stop thinking about food for a few hours.

That's the plan anyway.

Day 5

Eating: Mindfully all day. (Flapjack, about 10 bites from a buffet and 2 Bourbon biscuits, half a chicken wrap, 2/3 of a chocolate brownie and 5 mouthfuls of ice cream).

Extra Exercise: None.

Motivation: 100%

Achievement: Over-night at a conference and managed to eat mindfully all day despite huge, free breakfast buffet, cookies and cake on tap all day and a free lunchtime buffet.

Logg1e · 29/03/2014 18:11

Day 6

Eating: Mindfully all day. (Tiny bowl of cereal, 2 fingers of kitkat, 3 jelly beans, small bowl of crisps, small ham and cheese sandwich. For tea I've had 1/3 of a pizza and most of a portion of chips).

Extra Exercise: None.

Motivation: 90%

Goal for tomorrow: Back to smaller meals.

Sounds like you are doing well Logg1e - it is not easy when you are eating with others or in different environments.
I had a good weekend food and exercise wise. Not loads of snacking, Saturday I had a massive plate of chips followed by a magnum but then I had completed a six mile dog walk which included lots of hills. And because I was focusing on the food when I ate ( about 3pm) I then didn't feel the need to eat anything else in the evening. So a snack free evening which was a surprise. Yesterday was two meals as I missed breakfast and a glass of red wine and some cheese and onion crisps in the evening. One packet though!

Today I am feeling a bit rubbish hench the crumpets and nutella for breakfast Blush but I am going to stick to my meals and not snack. And drink lots of squash too.

Thank you for replying 2Whippet, I was pretty resigned to posting to myself, but I am finding it helpful to be "accountable" and admit every single little thing I eat.

Day 8

Eating: Mindfully all day. Small bowl of cereal, one slice of beans on toast, 8 small cakes, medium portion of curry and rice.

Extra Exercise: None.

Motivation: 90%

Achievement: week 1 weigh-in 11st 6.5lb so a "loss" of 4.5lb.

jerin · 31/03/2014 21:48

I'm a bit late but would you mind if I joined in as well?

I'm currently nudging 11 stone and 5' 5. This is the biggest I've ever been and it's really getting me down. I'm 41, menopausal and so I know that doesn't help.

My biggest downfall is chocolate & biscuits, I really need to wean myself off sugar. I want to start the c25k but keep putting it off. Can only go in the evening when it's dark in case people see me, then I get a cold, now hay fever, I know once I've been a few times I'll be fine.....

Would love to lose a stone before summer and long term 2 stone....

Welcome Jerin!

jerin · 01/04/2014 12:32

Thank you.
Weighed myself this morning 10 9, not quite as bad as I was expecting! I think I've lost a bit just by not eating & snacking so much.

Had the best intentions this morning, got out my biggest loser DVD, half way through warm up by brother in law arrived!! Thought I'd soon get rid of him but he's still here waiting for my DP to finish work! At least I done 10 mins. Will aim for more later or tomorrow!!

Logg1e · 01/04/2014 12:58

So what's your goal, and what's your plan for getting there Jerin?

Logg1e · 01/04/2014 18:10

Day 9

Eating: one buttered muffin and 4 slices of bacon for breakfast, no dinner, MacDonalds for tea. Mostly mindfully and lots of comfort/boredom food refused.

Extra Exercise: None.

Motivation: 80% bit cocky after week 1

Achievement: no boredom/comfort food.

Logg1e · 02/04/2014 20:30

Day 10

Eating: one small Danish, half a sandwich, green salad, small slice of lemon drizzle cake. 12 grapes, a Flake and MacDonalds banana milkshake. Not every bite was mindful.

Extra Exercise: None.

Motivation: 100% bit cocky after week 1

Achievement: ate something green.

jerin · 02/04/2014 22:49

Ok, well my goal, ultimately is size 10, 9 stone or under....

For now, a 12 and the 9.5 stone mark would be good.

I'm gonna cut out the mindless snacking, I really go crazy in the evenings.... And be conscious of what I'm eating throughout the day.

Tomorrow, I'm going to attempt the biggest loser DVD again and hopefully will get past the warm up (without any interruptions). Although I'm actually struggling to move today as just the warm up has taken it's toll on my muscles!!

I'd also like to start up the c25k and be running/jogging a comfortable 5k by the summer. At the moment I can't run for the bus!

Lots of fruit, veg, water. Cut down on bread, cut out biscuits (weight watchers ones allowed as a treat). Cut out chocolate, sweets and cakes. Cut down on portion size.

Logg1e · 03/04/2014 19:38

Day 11

Eating: one small apple. 3/4 of a sandwich, samosa and piece of chicken. Small slice of lemon drizzle cake and small slice of ginger cake. Small MacDonalds meal with small milkshake. I chose (or refused) mindfully but didn't eat every bite mindfully.

Extra Exercise: None.

Motivation: 90%

Goal: really focus tomorrow on less cake.

Newrowsees · 03/04/2014 19:47

Logg1e, just had a browse through the thread - could you tell me more about eating mindfully? I've seen it mentioned a few times on here - what exactly do you do differently?

Also, have you ever experimented with adding more fruit and veggies to your diet?

2whippetsnobed · 04/04/2014 08:12

Welcome jerin

Hello Logg1e Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of days. Had a bit of an argument with some millionaires shortbread yesterday. It won! But today I am back on track. Small meals, long walks and drink lots of squash.

Kids are now off school which always seems to make it harder but I am determined to stick to my meals and not go overboard.

Logg1e · 04/04/2014 21:18

Day 12

Eating: Mindfully. 1 veggie juice for breakfast. 1/2 sandwich, apple and chocolate digestive for dinner. Curry and rice, 2 Oreos.

Extra Exercise: None.

Motivation: 100%

Logg1e · 04/04/2014 21:21

When are you weighing in Whippets, or are you not planning to?

2whippetsnobed · 04/04/2014 22:05

Hadn't really given much thought to it but as I weighed myself today I can say I have lost 5lb this week. Grin Grin Grin

Found today a big struggle though but I have managed to not go massively over board. Breakfast was toast and philly, lunch salad and ham pitta and dinner was gammon and potato croquets with sweetcorn. I've also eaten an apple, a pear and some of DH's chips. I have walked the dogs and took the dcs to the park so I've been active too. I found it so hard to resist temptation this evening though so I am off to bed where I am safe.

Are you weighing in or taking measurements Logg1e ?

Logg1e · 05/04/2014 05:54

I've done both but will only be weighing in on a weekly basis. I'll be happy with an average of 2lb loss per week over the longer term.

Logg1e · 05/04/2014 18:28

Day 13

Motivation: 100%

Logg1e · 06/04/2014 19:23
