*100 Day Challenge - Who's in?*

So I have been slowly but surely losing weight and am now on the home stretch to the event I have been losing for. I am setting myself a challenge to get in the best shape I can in the next 100 days (I fly out in 100 days exactly today so works out pretty well ;)). I would like to lose around 2 stone and get to a size 14 but I just will do the best I can to be honest. I am currently 13st 7 (size 18).

Plan is to eat fairly low carb but not Atkins strict and do as much exercise as I can. I did my shoulder in packing the other day so need that to get better before I can start again but I am booked in for a local bootcamp class on Friday so hopefully it will be sorted soon!

Breakfast this morning was scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, lunch will be soup and dinner meat with tonnes of veg and gravy (I can't eat food plain so even though it isn't strictly low carb I am having it!).

Who fancies joining me?

beechview thank you, I am very Grin today.

Good luck with your new regime. I have ditched the junk (so far) and am drinking lots of water. I don't actually feel any better at the moment but hopefully in time!!

MrsFiddy I'm sure you'll notice a difference soon. How long have you been doing it?

Trikken that sounds like a good start!

I managed to stay mostly on the plan today. The only extra I had was a couple of home made cookies. OK so not the best but compared to what Ive been eating, its fab.
Excerise wise, I did go for a long walk and did some strenuous cleaning. Lots of hovering and mopping. I've not been able to do gym or shred this eve as have been busy with the kids and dh isn't back til later. I'm not sure I'll be able to do any tonight.

I'm going to join you if I may? I am MFP'ing, have 14 lbs to lose (and there are 14 weeks in 100 days). I am experimenting with keeping my carbs under control, well under 100g a day.

Goes to get count down app for iphone Grin

Morning all and hello to the newcomers.

beechview I've only been doing this for about two weeks but I am impatient for results Grin. I have never stuck to a diet for more than a couple of days so this is quite something for me. I have ditched the junk, been eating "clean", been walking and drinking gallons of water, which is unheard of for me. Just got to keep it up for as long as possible.

ethelb Welcome. I like your line of thinking...14 weeks sounds a lot more doable to me than 100 days, a pound a week for 14 weeks, result!!

We both did the shred and mr motivator blt so have woken up quite achey this morning but I won't let it put me off. Im definitely more determined this time, measuring out my breakfast properly. In the short few days dh has already lost 3lb, im still the same.

managed to shift another 2lb this week bringing total to 1stone 3lb so far since ds was born 5 weeks ago. Still 3 stone to go!
Mainly healthy eating, breat feeding, running after an excitable toddler and putting baby in carrier and marching round our hilly woods with the dog. Was hoping for 4lbs this week but won't moan at 2lb!

trikken am impressed at your exercising together, great incentive.

yellowcanary great weight loss in 5 weeks.

Only lost 1lb this week, disappointed with that as this week has been very hard work but a loss is a loss I guess, so this week I'm 11 7.

Anyone else a serial weigher? I MUST stop jumping on the scales daily Grin.

Well done yellowcanary that's fab.

I do find dh exercising at the same time really helps, tho cheeky git has lost 8 pounds in 5 days. He has cut out an enormous amount of junk food right out tho (think being given free shortbread etc at work and energy drinks.) I've lost 2 so thats better than nothing.
