*100 Day Challenge - Who's in?*

So I have been slowly but surely losing weight and am now on the home stretch to the event I have been losing for. I am setting myself a challenge to get in the best shape I can in the next 100 days (I fly out in 100 days exactly today so works out pretty well ;)). I would like to lose around 2 stone and get to a size 14 but I just will do the best I can to be honest. I am currently 13st 7 (size 18).

Plan is to eat fairly low carb but not Atkins strict and do as much exercise as I can. I did my shoulder in packing the other day so need that to get better before I can start again but I am booked in for a local bootcamp class on Friday so hopefully it will be sorted soon!

Breakfast this morning was scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, lunch will be soup and dinner meat with tonnes of veg and gravy (I can't eat food plain so even though it isn't strictly low carb I am having it!).

Who fancies joining me?

Yesterday was another rubbish food day for me, my own fault as I need to do a proper shop but haven't got my head focussed on good food.

Angryfeet not keen on the new choice of dress either.

Good day yesterday and I have a good feeling about today.
However I am still in early days and feeling motivated.

Done ok today...ate normally...croissant for breakfast, innocent veg pot for lunch, vege sausages and beans for tea.

A few soya lattes.

Some fruit.

There is still a gorgeous cake in the fridge, going to have some of that later.

Progress not perfection.

I'm on board too, I did low carbs last autumn and did really well up until blasted Christmas then I put it all back on again. Have tried to start up again but can't seem to get into it. Need some inspiration!

Can I join too please? I have been watching what I eat and lost half a stone so far but need to keep myself motivated and on track.

I was good as gold yesterday until I went to a party. I managed to avoid the pre-dinner nibbles, but my friend is a wonderful cook & I had seconds and thirds & far too much wine.

Today I've done OK so far, sensible breakfast & lunch & a smallish helping of dinner.

I don't know what I weigh and don't want to yet so I will keep an eye on my clothes & hopefully watch them getting looser.

Hi, can I join too? I've been counting calories for 3 weeks and lost 9 pounds but had the weekend from hell (dh away, sick ds), so just ate a load of phish food - doh! We shouldn't even have stuff like that around!!

Gah rubbish day yesterday as the wines on saturday meant i felt a bit rough yesterday not helped by the fact that i was dizzy all day (inner ear issue) and a friend popped over so i ate loads. Put on 3.5lbs overnight! Water weight obviously but still annoying. Back on track now but i was really hoping to get under 13st by next Tuesday so will keep off the booze this week to stop any crazy eating behaviour. Hope everyone else is doing ok. Dont worry mrsfiddy, weekends are always a nightmare. I need to watch myself most carefully then or the weeks success is written off in 48 hours!

First time tis has ever happened.... Tonight DS2 offered me a cookie and without thinking twice I replied ' no thanks'. He was a like this a bit bewildered as he has never heard those word from me in relation to biscuits and cake!

I'm starting out today by trying to stick to 3 meals a day and no snacking.

That's my general plan along with some daily exercise and lots of water.
I will report back at the end of the day.

That's pretty much what I am doing beechview. But I think I need to up the protein as it is now 10.50 and I ate breakfast at 7.45 but am already starving. I also have lunch at 1ish then dinner at 8pm so a big old gap. Not sure how doable it is really.

Hello! Can I join in too?

I re-started yesterday, after realising that with my boy being 9 months old, I really should start trying to shift some baby weight. I'm currently 17st6 - 3 stone heavier than I was at Christmas 2011 when I got pregnant, and I'd love to shift a decent amount of it. I was a loose size 16 then, I'm now a tight size 20... Blush

I am a fairly hard-core low carber when I get going (for health reasons mostly), but I need to try and fit in more exercise, so that' s my goal! Yesterday I managed a 20 minute stroll in my lunchbreak.

Hello, can I join too?

I have been on a health kick since mid April - aiming for 1200 calories a day (not usually succeeding, but coming in around 1300-1400) and exercising more.

It worked really well for the first few weeks and I lost around 10lb, but I have hit a plateau and have just been maintaining for the last few weeks. Basically I have relaxed a bit and stopped being so strict with myself. I need to get back in gear! Would be great to lose another stone and a half.

Report
Beechview · 25/06/2013 13:54

Angry that is a big gap!
I can manage it as I tend to have breakfast around 9, lunch around 1 and dinner around 6 (I eat with the kids)
I'm aiming to exercise around 8.

Please may I join from today?

I've been starting again every day for about a month! Really, truly started again properly this morning. I too have a bridesmaid dress to fit into on Sept 06 (73 day challenge for me). I'm currently size 18/20 top and 20/22 bottom, depending on where I shop. 15st13 & only 5'4"!! Blush Dress is an 18, it does up quite easily, but is still tight and the style makes me look like I have a giant soft wobbly rubber ring round my stomach & hips.

Seriously struggling to get my backside into gear. I have quite a high calorie allowance a day, as 1200 was too difficult for me. So it's up to 1,380, but I will try to exercise on top of that and not eat extra to make up for it.

I have proven to myself that I can't do it alone.

I made a much better go of it today and yesterday.

Feeling more positive today in spite of a really naff run and only an ok swim. In my defence I do have this vile summer cold thing so my throat feels like its been brilloed!

Ah Beccas we can be bridesmaid buddies. After my disasterous weekend I decided not to weight myself today and will wait till this time next week or it will demotivate me. Seems like weekends are the times we will need to spur each other on.

I am still struggling with exercise but am not getting myself in a flap about it. As long as the diet is ok the weight will come off. I need to get my house move done so I can concentrate on this really.

Well I have a headache and feel very lethargic so no exercise for me today. I've also had a chesty cough for a week now. When is going to go??!!

I'm going to look up some motivational speakers on youtube now,

Hi all,

can I join in please. I had my first Rosemary Conley class last week and weighed in at 14st 3.5lb Blush. I really want to lose just over 4 st but that's just too much to think about in one go - 100 days seems more manageable. I'll call my first class day 1. So far following the diet hasn't been too bad (the novelty I think) and I'm fitting in a bit of exercise - not as much as I'd like but it's a start. I'm just really hoping I've lost at least a couple of pounds this week to get me going.
