I've not started properly counting anything yet, but have stocked up on healthy options of food, decided on the ww class I want to join (there's a Fri a.m. class that I can go to on my day off each week) and have cut back on the richness of the dinners and the amount of snacks etc that we've been eating.
This morning (I weigh myself a few times a week out of habit) I was 12st 7, which is 2.5lb less than I was on 1st Jan.
Yesterday was a sensible lunch and fish in sauce with mash and peas for dinner. But then there were biscuits in the evening.
Today was a sensible lunch, then the busy last day of the hols (not counting the weekend) took over. We had lots of people to visit and ended up with starving kids, so we went to the chippy. I've had half the chips I'd normally eat though.
Tomorrow I'm going to make some of the Hairy Dieters' golden vegetable soup. Normally I just bung stuff in a pan, boil it and eat whatever the result is, but I like the look of this so will follow the recipe. Or I might make it on Sun and then take it to work for lunches.
Cutting out snacks is what I need to do most of all. I find it hard to do that on holiday days, but come Monday it's back to school/work and there aren't snacks in the staffroom. And it will only be evening snacking I need to tackle.
