Ninja I'm up 1lb despite no sodding dairy and naughty treats my BFing body seems determined to hang onto my curves lard - god I can't wait til we move off this windy rock and I'll be able to get out and exercise - for me its exercise that makes the biggest difference. We move on Friday!

INeedThatForkOff · 07/01/2013 09:56

I've lost 1 1/2 lbs since Weds, but my WW WI day is Thurs.

I'm truly lost with who's who on here now. Is it possible to list ourselves again, with a little info on babies' ages and BFing or not (I'd like to be able to compare like with like, iyswim. I'm taking it slowly to make sure my supply is consistent). I'll start:

INeedThatForkOff: start 12st 8.5lb; currnet 12st 7lb; DS 10 weeks (EBF)

Or is that too much hassle? Smile

INeedThatForkOff · 07/01/2013 09:57

YellowWellies, do not give up - I suspect you'll be pleasantly surprised next week.

ValiumQueen · 07/01/2013 10:10

No change this week, but I had not had a poo and my boobs were heaving due to DS sleeping better (yay!) plus I was fully dressed. Likely a pound or two in there. Not worried though as maintaining is my basic goal, and I have not done any exercise this last week, plus have not really tried that hard.

Goals for this week :

Drink more water
Eat more fruit and veg
Exercise daily - school run at least!
Lots of sex if DS sleeps like he did last night.
Lose 1lb
Decide what plan I am following, to start tracking next Monday. I need a plan, and am looking into what would be best for bf.

Previously I lost 7st on the fat units diet. Does anyone remember that? Basically if a meal or snack is 4% fat or less, you can eat it, and as much as your appetite dictates. Things above that were counted, and you could have 10 fat units a day.

Thoughts on this appreciated. I know low fat is linked to low mood, but it was so easy to follow. Very similar to SW Extra Easy I guess, but with less structure. I will probably opt for SW EE actually. But not go to groups.

Thanks for comments re water,.hadn't realised it caused a problem although did worry a bit about diluted milk (not sure if this is strictly possible/likely?)
Co midwife coming today so will ask her about it.

Babytopian is 11 days old, response to age question

YellowWellies · 07/01/2013 10:15

Thank Fork! but have been stuck on couch for last 2 days with growth spurt so I'm not convinced - feel like I'm getting bedsores :(

INeedThatForkOff: start 12st 8.5lb; current 12st 7lb; DS 10 weeks (EBF)
Yellowwellies: start 12st 6lb; current 12st 7lb; DS 11 weeks (EBF)

ValiumQueen · 07/01/2013 10:15

Milk will not dilute. Our body is too good for that.

YW do not be disheartened.

Good idea fork

Feel free to add stats as Fork says its useful to compare like with like. Anyone on a phone or iPad who wants me to add them just shout x

YW would you mind adding my stats as I'm on ipad and don't know how to!

TheTiger: start 10 stone 2, current 9 stone 13, DS 11 weeks.

INeedThatForkOff · 07/01/2013 10:33

YW, we are much the same then. I've also been stuck on the settee, hence a small loss for me. It's only day 4 though and I'm finding WW really easy due to the extra BFing points - plenty for treats. Here's my slightly naughty plan for today:

Breakfast: 2 x Weetabix, skimmed milk, banana. OJ.
Snack: 2 x jaffa cakes.
Lunch: blue cheese sandwich (2 x Hovis wholemeal; 30g St Agur; lettuce & cucumber).
Snack: Panda licorice bar (love these!)
Dinner: Tina fishcake; jacket potato with butter; carrots & broccoli.
Snacks: treat size Crunchie; a few nuts.
Tea and coffee throughout the day.

So the reason I don't feel deprived is because I'm not! I'll quite likely use some of my weekly points too. I'm not interested in being saintly. I won't stick to it and I'm too busy and tired. A bit of weight loss is my only goal.

I realise I sound like I'm sponsored by WW - I'm not, honestly Grin. It's worked for me in the past and I can eat anything at all in moderation. Don't even feel like I need a cheat day on this many points.

horseylady · 07/01/2013 10:33

Yw - some people who ebf find they are unable to lose any weight until they start weaning. It falls off others. You could be that first category!! A very good friend of mine out on weight during pregnancy expecting to lose bf and exercising etc. But her body just kept hold of the weight. Once she started weaning she found the weight easier to lose. Another who can't afford to lose weight is finding it's just dropping off her.

GoatBongosAnonymous · 07/01/2013 10:36

horsey I definitely did not lose weight until I stopped bfing, (actually put it on) then lost nearly a stone in 2 months. So yes, does happen...

I hope I'm not one of those that can't lose whilst BFing, mindst if I can't I can't - wanting my old figure back would be a very selfish reason to stop BFing.

YellowWellies · 07/01/2013 10:44

Ignore my stats - Horsey has done the latest!!!

Pity I havent lost any but until I can exercise properly I dont think I will.

This week I plan to

Eat more (ie not skip meals.)
Go swimming.
Try to get a few short walks in.
Drink more water.

mameulah · 07/01/2013 11:02

Hi Everyone!

Can I join too? I have a six week old baby and throughout the festivities I have consumed about six ton of chocolate. I would like to lose at least two and a half stone and plan on starting weightwatchers officially on Wednesday. I thought I would also give myself A 100 Day Challenge. I hope that this really helps me stay focused. I also really want to get out walking and do some yoga type things. When I am getting up after playing on the floor with baby I feel like a geriatric. If anyone can recommend a wii step workout I would really appreciate it.

Good luck everyone!

Passmethecrisps · 07/01/2013 11:14

Hello ladies.

Some very impressive results here.

Less so in crisp household. I don't know why I bothered weighing myself. I have eaten out twice, eaten copious amounts of cheese, bread and other tasty treats. Unsurprisingly I am actually a pound heavier at 9 stone 6. My measurements are exactly th same though.

In essense I think I will be happy enough if I can get back into my work clothes by going back to work in August. Considering I wore some of my Boden frocks until 20 weeks pregnant I don't think that should be too much of a challenge. It would be nice not to have horrid saddle bags over my jeans though. I don't mind the flabby belly quite so much - I feel I have earned that. My backside, however, did no work therefore cannot be excused its current state
