Ooooooohhhh, that's exciting, and a bit of an honour, I feel like the Leader!

gah - I have a caffeine problem....I get into work on mondays and spend all afternoon pissing. No caffeine at the weekends....

man I really need to kick my diet coke habit...I mean REALLY.

TheHumancatapult · 26/02/2013 04:27

Icb

Diet coke slows your metabolic rate for around 6 hours

Tortoise · 26/02/2013 09:27

Tonight we're having chicken casserole. Doing it in the slow cooker for the first time! Grin
DC will have mash with theirs. I'm going to try and resist the mash!

ICBINEG · 26/02/2013 09:46

right human but what can I replace it with? Presumably all the other diet drinks are equally evil?

I can't drink that much tea....I HATE drinking just water...I mean really the diet will not be survivable if I have to drink water...

Tortoise · 26/02/2013 12:00

Chicken casserole smells so good it's making me hungry all the time!
I've had a raw carrot and now having can of veg soup for an early lunch!

TheHumancatapult · 26/02/2013 13:01

Tortoise I adore my slow Cooker but it's always so tempting

Yes officially all diet drinks the same but if drinking that lets you stick to the diet I would carry on lesser of two evils . Bit maybe try upping the water a bit ?

Tortoise · 26/02/2013 14:14

ICB You will get used to drinking water. I used to drink squash all the time now only drink water. Smile

I've stayed strong and not eaten anything else. I think it helps that I've stopped buying any chocolate bars for dcs lunches. Too tempting for me!

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 26/02/2013 15:51

icb I'm with you on this, much prefer diet coke to water but as my weight loss has slowed down I'm going to go cold turkey on it although I have a sneaky bottle under dd2s buggy.

Cutting down on carbs too, although I don't eat that many in the first place. So omelette for breakfast rather than toast and more home cooked food. I eat a lot of soup but it's often quite carb heavy even if low cal. Tmorrow's dinner is steak and mountains of veg. Looking forward to it.

tortoise you are in the zone! Very healthy. Might do chicken casserole on Thirsday as it sounds nice.

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 26/02/2013 15:59

Hmmm, mortified.

Do I want to embarrass myself with something iwon't even tell dh?

Went to Pilates. Laying on floor on back. Lift legs in air. Noisy fart pops out. I had no idea it was there. Couldn't believe that not one other person commented or laughed. They must've heard.

Am still cringing with embarrassment.

TheHumancatapult · 26/02/2013 16:29

Tortoise sadly not buying chocolate or baking cake not option two of mine need high calorie high fat diets to maintain body weight both are underweight no matter what they eat ( ds2 5000 calories a day and is 6.2 and 8 stone on s good day

Icb /johnny

Yup i do still have the odd one I'm not that good but don't drink so it's my treat on rare occasion I actually go out

Tortoise am lol and glad not just me , forubate at home not in class but how restrained of everyone because think I have giggled even a little

But to make you feel better I can not tell when need to fart till after the event reached my ears or people start going green and gagging . So it can be rather embarrassing

Tortoise · 26/02/2013 18:50

Oh dear! Bf bought me round a big bottle of Budweiser! For someone who doesn't drink very often, it's too much for me. End up a bit tipsy and light headed! Also meant dinner was delayed because he was here until 6. (I looked after his DS for hour after school).
So spuds didn't get peeled and so i chucked some chips in to have with casserole! I had a lot less chips than normal though. And having eaten less than normal I'm not going to worry Grin .

Oh, and human the fart incident wasn't me lol Grin Grin

TheHumancatapult · 27/02/2013 08:08

Oops tortoise getting blame for non existant farts

ICBINEG · 27/02/2013 10:01

poor johnny...you just have to view it from the other side though...if someone else in the class had done it would you even have blinked?

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 27/02/2013 14:34

icb I'm embarrassed to say I would have had hysterics if it were someone else (childish humour I know). I don't know how I managed to keep control as it is.

Made very healthy soup for tea last night, spinach and rocket. Dh came home late, didn't like the look of the green liquid left for him and ate dcs beef casserole I'd made for today Angry. Tempted to give him green soup later and eat all the steak for me. Wonder how many cals in 300g of rump steak.

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 27/02/2013 14:42

Has anyone bought dcs Easter eggs yet?

Two years ago I bought them for dd1 in plenty of time and then ate them. Couldn't find any good replacements as suddenly it was good Friday and the shops had sold out. It didn't matter cos dd1 was only 2 and didn't really notice.

Think the same happened last year too. Blush

So now wondering if this year I can buy them and not eat them. Dd1 has made some quite specific requests for what she wants (Lindt are doing bunnies and sheep and chickens) so I need to get them before they sell out.

I'm not really a chocolate person but find it so hard to not eat it if it's in the house.

TheHumancatapult · 27/02/2013 15:42

Johnny glad not only md that struggled with straight face

Well steak is low carb and probably not that many .

Yes I have dd and ds3 Easter eggs already as they Specfic sort wanted done and dusted . Last year Iau been tempted this year not ( shines halo ) I don't miss sweet stuff anymore but do savoury

I admit I'm looking forward to break from my diet soon < watches halo tarnish then rust oh we'll )

DancingInTheMoonlight · 27/02/2013 17:30

Johnny, 525 cals in 300g of rump steak. Just popping in as far to embarrassed to recount what i have eaten on my birthday week...

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 27/02/2013 17:31

Mmm, so looking forward to steak, it just doesn't feel like diet food. I guess it's the chips that are bad for you.

Weighed myself today, and I've finally lost weight. Down 1 1/2 since Monday. Wouldn't say it was due to carbs as I only really started to reduce my carbs yesterday lunchtime but let's hope my bastard body has realised that I am going to win and it will get thinner. So I'm currently 11 st 3, think I've only got something like 10lbs to go until I'm 'normal' weight. Feb has been my hardest month but hopefully I can be in the 10s by Easter.

In general I feel like a different person and really confident, happy etc but so angry with dh. I'm 2 1/2 stone down and he still hasn't noticed. On Sunday dd1 asked what 'slim' meant and I said something like 'a nice healthy size. Just like mummy'. Ok I know I'm technically still overweight but I intend to be a healthy weight soon and slim and i don't want the kids to feel under pressure to be too skinny. Dh laughed and said 'that's not the word I'd use' (to describe me). AIBU to want to kill him?

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 27/02/2013 17:33

Happy birthday dancing are you celebrating in a nice way?

Blimey, think I'll have 4oz steak then. Lucky dh will get the rest even though he doesn't deserve it. I'll burn his then...

DancingInTheMoonlight · 27/02/2013 17:33

You would be completely within your rights (or take his credit card and buy yourself a new wardrobe!) ;-)

DancingInTheMoonlight · 27/02/2013 17:35

Thanks Johnny. My sister is visiting and its lovely to see her. Just been Harrogate spa baths for the day. Was amazingly relaxing and just what the doctor ordered!

NobbyClark · 27/02/2013 17:39

Hello lovelies, have been mental so far this week.
I think I lost a few pounds, but am not counting it as I was back up by two last week.

But I am dipping lower and lower into 13 stone now which feels amazing!

johnny ha ha!!!! Be a teacher, you just blend in with all the children, I get away with murder......!!!

Well done tort you are on the rampage!

Oh bloody hell johnny that is shit. Maybe you could buy yourself some new clothes that fit and make him pay for them? What a rude fuck.

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 27/02/2013 17:41

I have been buying a new wardrobe. But all from eBay as I don't want to get new stuff until I know what my final shape/ size will be.

Did anyone see the AIBU thread about vanity sizing a couple of days ago? I now have a couple of size 10 items, from ebay, that I fit into. I'm probably a 14 still but it gives me a buzz to wear size 10.

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 27/02/2013 17:46

Oh that's right, in your fab new costume. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Ooh nobby you encouraging me to spend money too? Maybe I'll buy a new handbag or something not affected by weightloss. Keep going, I started at 13 st 9 and getting down to 12 was such an amazing feeling. Do you think you'll be there by Easter?
