A new thread for those of us who started in January 2012 and anyone starting now. Everyone welcome for support, encouragement and occasional arse kicking :)

Hello again and thanks for all the positive messages! Am hoping they'll keep me going. Can't go running tonight but am hoping to get out tomorrow evening if my dh gets home from work in time, so will update if I manage to do that.

Can anyone recommend an iPhone app that will tell me how far I have gone? I have the couch25k lite app that tells me when to run and walk, but I've no idea on distance, so I need something that will work alongside that.

Have a good day (and run, if you are running) everyone!

I use runkeeper for tracking distance and it's free :)

Run keeper is great for distance. Just make sure your battery is fully charged before you go out!!!!!!

I went to a buggy fit class yday n it was really good! Got week 1 session 2 of c25k today. Not looking forward to it cos I've really hurt my neck cos I've slept a bit funny! Sad

20 mins is still a good run Purpleprickles, your next run will be good :)

I did 26 mins tonight, went out on my road route that I haven't been on since it's been light enough in the evening to run in the forest and I ran out of road at 26 mins so will need to make it longer once the nights start drawing in, not quite sure how though.

Hi just dropped in to say hello to those who remember me form Jan. I started with you and tore a calf muscle on about week 3/4 and was off running for 10 weeks. i did actually take up running again and joined a thread which was at an earlier stage.

So my update is...

I ran a Race for Life on Sunday. And ran all the way (very slowly!).

Feeling very smug and am now aiming to improve my speed before doing another 5K.

If I can do it... anyone can do it!

So proud of myself. This was my first week back exercising after dd appearance 4 month ago. With a lot of planning. And one hell of a lot of expressing I've done all 3 sessions of week 1 AND a buggy fit class Smile

Well done melliebobs and WipsGlitter!!

Very quiet here at the moment!

I went out today and did 5K in 28m 20, so a few seconds faster than my previous pb but still faster! Ran for 30 mins total but it was a bit warm for it. Working tonight so can't really go later. Hope everyone else is managing to get out and enjoying their running :)

done w5r3 though I was almost dead at the end! Sadly I live at the top of a hill, so the first half of my run is downhill, the second half is always uphill. 8 minutes of running uphill was HARD!

Hello all, i'm rejoining! I got to w3r3 a few weeks ago and haven't managed to get out since for various reasons. Am planning to restart later this evening when its cooled down a bit more. Was thinking of starting on week 2 again. Does that sound sensible?

It was very warm brightonite, that makes it much harder. Week 4 will be fine :)
