well weighed myself today, and i've lost 5lbs :) which im very pleased with (esp when i gave in and ate half a tub of ben and jerrys the other night !)
am forgetting about keeping my food log though, missed a few days,so need to get back to that too!

Flojo1979 · 21/01/2011 13:14

Hi, nickname, yeah i was shocked to be a 1000 cals under but i think its cos it took in to account the exercise, i went for a long walk with lil un in buggy etc.
But i feel so rough today, i hoped once i'd eaten i'd feel better but it isnt shaking off so dont think its got anything to do with diet. I just have no energy and feel dizzy, bit strange, and a lil nauseous.
Managed to get round tesco tho and stocked up on salad items.
Just bought some mixed fish and a packet of colemans parsley sauce, so going to make that later with some green beans and carrots, and mash for the kids.
Trouble is i bought hot cross buns for my lil one and she took one bite and deiced she didnt like them, so i ate it! Which is probably a zillion cals!!
And bought some coleslaw (reduce fat tho!) to go with salad, couldnt bear thought of dry salad.
Bought a jar of beetroots too, someone told me yesterday (not sure if its true!) that beetroots speed up metabolism, I looked on the jar and there werent many cals in them so thought why not add them to salad too!
As for FF, I've been doing squats, lunges, sit up (and baked bean tin weights!) and putting under aerobics, so maybe i'm doing it wrong too!

Hi Sazm
Well done u!!! Whoop whoop!!!
Just dont go celebrating with a tub of ben n jerrys! - that usually what happens with me, i lose a bit then think i can get away with it!!

Exercise isnt looking so good today, but there doesnt seem to be an option for pushing an irrate toddler round tesco and carrying upteen bags from the car! Why are kitchens always at the back of houses?!

lolo flo, there def should be a bit for the shopping thing as exercise lol!

my lo is off to a birthday party at a chocolate factory later!!think i will wait outside for him away from temptation!

Lucifera · 21/01/2011 14:58

hello all - I just finished logging yesterday's food and was 560 calories over! I'm allowed 1350 I think. Haven't lost any weight for past few days but not gained either. @flojo, isn't there a "walking with children" exercise option?

NicknameInUse · 21/01/2011 14:58

Wow Sazm! That's great! Well done!!!

Mmm parsley sauce, love the stuff - haven't had it since I tried to make it myself, was a disaster - poor dp had poured it all over his meal before discovering that it tasted shite! Grin

Homemade toad in the hole for me tonight with plenty of veg. Have done half an hour on the rowing machine this afternoon, forgot how hard it is (had to stop for a month or so because of my knees)!

Flojo1979 · 21/01/2011 16:54

Theres a pushing buggy option luci, maybe thats the same as trolley!
I've just had my salad, surprising filling, if a lil bland but having put it in to FF i'm still 900 cals off todays target!
Salad was hardly any, hot cross bun was over 300!
So its surprising, if i cut out the bread/pasta side it makes a huge difference.

Lol at parsley sauce, never tried making it myself, i usually buy ready made but i thought i'd get colemans packet this time then i can leave the butter out and use semi milk.

Toad in hole sounds good, never made it, be interested to see how many cals that logs.

Drinking caff free diet coke, zero cals!

NicknameInUse · 21/01/2011 19:25

350 cals for a nice big portion with two sausages, the rest was just vegetables (no potatoes to keep the carbs down a bit) so only about 30/40 cals there. Still have 1112 cals left over, totaly see what you meant about the excercise making a big difference!

I love the sound of cal free cooke! Smile

Flojo1979 · 21/01/2011 21:46

Brill, I'm afraid i went a bit off track tonight but just logged everything and found i still managed to just stay on the boarder so its def do-able. Cant wait to weigh in on sunday just to see if owt is happening!

sazm · 22/01/2011 10:37

Flojo1979 · 22/01/2011 11:31

nah not quite lol, just seems like it lol!

gorionine · 22/01/2011 12:18

I have joined this morning but struggle with the food log, it takes too much time finding every ingredient when you cook from scratch. I think I will only log my weight whenever I weigh myself to see the "result"

I am doing the shred (have for just over 3 weeks, my weight is not going down very fast but I definitely feel more energised and my balance has improved a lot too. I am on this thread at the moment we are not all doing the same diet or exercices but support is a great motivator!

Flojo1979 · 22/01/2011 13:13

Hi gorion, the food log is a real pain, I think i might google this shred thing as a few ppl have mentioned it now. See what all the fuss is about!
Although zumba seems to be the in thing at min where i am.
I'll have a look at thread ta!

OP posts:
sazm · 22/01/2011 14:35

have heard a lot of people saying the zumba isfab, pretty energetic though - im nowhere near up to that,
shred sounds good too,i googled it yesterday and founs reviews on amazon, good but a pretty strenuous workout from what they said??shows good results though?

Flojo1979 · 23/01/2011 10:23

I'll have a look and see if i can find it online anywhere to try.
