Reordering mounjaro-an ordering gap using my stock pile

Hi and thank you for any help. I have been on Mounjaro since Feb 2025. I have worked upto 15mg. I had a bit of a stock pile built up and was using that but realise my last order was July.. while looking at new deals and suppliers I note they want evidence of last prescription in the last 8 weeks. So worried Inhave messed up now and won’t get next prescription! I’m looking at new health (cheapest on Monj.co) and just paid. Can anyone advise how I can over come this?

What’s your BMI?
I have to say, and I appreciate this is no help to you now but the reason I’ve never stockpiled is precisely because providers can cut you off with gaps in prescribing that get too big and I need this medication too much to piss about with it, I order every 4 weeks and that’s it. I’m too worried about being cut off!
I think could be okay to reorder if your BMI is within your providers prescribing guidelines and if you have evidence of why you haven’t ordered. Worth a try anyway.
good luck.
meant to say, it’s possible that some providers might make you start back on 2.5mg again if they do let you reorder.

BMI 30 still and have moved up to 15mg.
stock pile from deals and gold dose use

If you have used golden dose and stretched a pen longer than 4 weeks you will probably be kicked back. Just happened to me. Been on 10mg, went down to 6.25 using a 12.5 pen. Had no proof of continuous jabbing. They only let me have a 5mg.

Redlightbulb · 12/10/2026 09:16

I don't think you can. There was a time due to the price hikes where the pharmacies were being more lenient to stockpiling & you could get away with stretching the doses a bit using the price hikes as an excuse but you would have had to buy multiple pens just before the price hike and have proof. But now they are much more strict. 8 weeks seems to be the max for some providers now as you have found. Even that is quite generous as that would be making a pen last 2 months. Back to 2.5mg for you I am afraid (you might be lucky & find one that lets you start at 5mg)

edit just re-read that it sounds like you were not short dosing, just using the golden dose? you might be ok then but you would need to have saved photos of prescription boxes.. it is very much a keep trying different pharmacies & hoping that one lets you back on your current dose.

SilenceInside · 12/10/2026 09:21

I am not sure who you last ordered with, @Reginaphalangeeeee , but you might find that some of the maintenance friendly pharmacies might allow you to reorder, if you can explain your order history and timeline to show that you have been taking a consistent dose since your last order.

Wildgoat · 12/10/2026 09:23

It’s unlikely anyone will let you order 15 without evidence of a stock pile ie pen images etc, I think you will be knocked back to 5

GiveMeWordGames · 12/10/2026 09:31

Swift Doctor might be flexible about this - but you would probably need to have a video consult and have a bit of evidence of your stockpile. Which you do pay for (£30) but then sort of get the money back through discounts. They're not the cheapest though, they're kind of middle ground

That’s how I’ve ended up with 2 x 7.5 mg pens I haven’t started yet while I use up the last of my stock with earlier expiry dates, which is going to take another couple of weeks! The unused pens are the new style, I can see, containing only 4 doses. But that’s another 8 weeks in hand. I am now actually taking 7.5, but haven’t always, I increased in smaller steps. So I now have in total enough for 10 weeks at 7.5 by which time I expect to be approaching goal and reducing back down. They’ll be expecting me to order again very soon however. Ages ago they actually phoned me once about a long gap between orders (created because I was going up in smaller increments than prescribed, and using the golden dose), I had to do some hasty back-pedalling to prevent them putting me back to 2.5 from 5 because it appeared I’d had a gap. Not decided yet whether to just order another 7.5 pen as expected and hope to use it, as rate of loss really has slowed, or come clean and ask their advice! I’ve been with Ashcroft exclusively for a year, so there’s a full order history and I can provide evidence of all the boxes I’ve kept, and the 2 I have in the fridge - but don’t want to have to admit to my unorthodox dosing history

Reginaphalangeeeee · 12/10/2026 23:16

Thank you all for your insight and following a telephone call I got approved. So relieved as over a 3 month gap.
explained I had a stock from deals & had ordered pre holiday. They were understanding & didn’t ask any more evidence.

lesson learnt though. Order before 8 weeks in future.
good luck to you all.
my new pen coming tomorrow apparently

Phew! Glad you got it sorted out.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 13/10/2026 23:23

So that was a quick delivery. Yes phew!
actually recommend new health on this experience but not sure price next month. At least an up to date prescription to go on!

Who did u order with in the end? My bmi is now under 25 but I want to keep using for a while...is that an issue do you think for reordering?

Houseyhope · 13/10/2026 23:56

My bmi is 27 and I’d been using stock piles for ages. Didn’t have a prescription or anything. I only wanted a 2.5 as had been titrating down, but several companies said no.
After a chat, both MedExpress and IQ doctor both prescribed a 2.5 pen.

I’ve got a long way to go still BMI 30.
i’m not actually sure what difficulties you face as BMI lower, but some companies do maintenance dosing.

Maybe a stupid question but if you had to have a BMI over 25 is there a way of making your weight more to give you the buffer? I am sure people do this. I don’t think I will ever have to, weight loss so slow I don’t think I’ll ever hit BMi 25

BMI of under 25 is not an issue as long as you have a history of prescriptions. Most pharmacies will be ok with 23 and up, some will take you on at 21 or 22. The Monj website has a maintenance list with details of minimum BMI for pharmacies that have stated one.

Sorry this is wrong- it was MedExpress and Swift Doctor.
