Can anyone reccomend a provider that is economical and if so how much actually comes out of your bank on a three month period? I’m scared to sign up in case I get stung with a bigger bill that I’ve understood.

Check monj.co.uk for prices. The site has links to Mounjaro and Wegovy pages.

cost can vary greatly depending on the treatment you choose and the dose you need.

Chang’s supplier every month for the first few months. Make the most of the discounts. Look on here www.monj.co.uk it gives you the latest prices with discounts

But beware that the prices on monj.com often only apply to new customers, often you have to jump around and after a while there is nowhere new to jump!

It's very easy to change supplier and as long as you don't sign up for a subscription you buy one pen at a time.

Check the website for best deals and keep moving.

Once you've reached an effective dose stay on it but keep moving up pen sizes so you can take half a larger dose and make the pen last 8 weeks. Obvs do your own research but many do this and pen providers say 8 weeks is fine.

Remember you'll save money on food and drink.

You don’t need to sign up to a subscription service.

Use the monj.co.uk website to track prices and order a single pen at a time. That’s what the majority of users do.

As you’re on Mumsnet, you don’t really need the extra ‘support’ from those subscription services as you’ll get all the help you need on here. 😇

@HappyEarl which weight loss medication were you thinking of?

As others have said the Monj website is good for looking at the current prices for Mounjaro, and has links to other sites that do the same for the Wegovy injections, Wegovy tablets or the Foundayo tablets.

As a new customer, most pharmacies will do you a big discount on your first month's order. After that, you pay the ordinary retail price, unless you change to another pharmacy and get their new customer discount. It's easy to change pharmacy.

The Monj site shows which pharmacies operate a subscription service. Most don't, I have never used a subscription one as they tend to be more expensive. Because I don't use a subscription, I only get charged for the next prescription when I actually decide to re-order myself, no automatic charging.

These are the pharmacies that are subscription based, taken from the Monj website today

Bolt Pharmacy, Curely, e-Surgery, Everwell, Get A Drip, Get Weightloss, Happen, Juniper, L'vae, Medicspot, Medy, Numan, Second Nature, Skin & Shape, The Care Pharmacy, The Family Chemist, Trim, Voy

So, if you are concerned about automatic payments going out each month you could avoid those ones.
