Short-dosers - is there enough liquid to prime the extra doses?

Looking for experience from people who do short-dosing. Now that the golden dose is gone, is there enough spare in the pens to enable you to prime more than 4 times?

A full dose is 60 clicks, and you need 2 to prime. So there should actually be 4x62=248 clicks in a pen (2.48ml). If you short-dose and take, say 30 clicks x 8, is there actually enough in there for you to prime 2 clicks each dose, or does you final dose end up at only 22 clicks, rather than 30?

Well you’ll definitely get 8 doses of 30 clicks if you only use one click to prime.

i always see a tiny droplet with the first click, zero need to "prime" in my experience.

What Costco said. My DH has T1 diabetes and surprised me early on by saying I don't need to prime if there's a drop of liquid on the tip. He's done millions of jabs so I figured he knows his stuff and I stopped priming.

I don't click to prime. When I screw the needle on a tiny drop appears telling me its primed.

Interesting…… so how many clicks’ worth is there actually in a pen, in your experience? For example, of you did 4 doses of 50 clicks, you would expect to be only able to get 48 out next time… do you find you can actually do the 50, or even more sometimes?

Or don’t you keep track? What if you want 40 clicks and there are only 30 left in the pen…. Do you star5 a new pen and take 10 from there?

have never worked it out, I don’t prime; do my 4 usual doses and there is half a dose left which I draw out with a syringe and then start my new pen to get the other half therefore getting 9 doses out of 2 pens rather than the 10 that I used to be able to get.

I realised what PP have said quite quickly too. I now only do the proper 2 click prime for first dose of a pen. After that I either see the drop on end as soon as I screw on new needle. If not first I push without clicking - sometimes that causes a drop. If not, do one click then nudge the end without fully pushing - that almost always works then I keep clicking without restarting. It’s very rare I’ve ever needed to do 2 clicks and return to zero to get the drop. I do always check though as blocked needles are not totally rare and you want to know that the fluid is flowing before trying to inject. Make sure to hold the needle up to the light to spot the drop.

I worked it out with the old style pens, I short dose currently doing 4mg from a 10mg pen and I write down all my doses on the pens and added it up, I'd get around 320-322 clicks in a pen so just over 5 standard 60 click doses worth or a lot more short dosing.
I also don't prime and wait for the bubble at tip of needle. I heard there is 0.2ml left over in the new pens after all 4 doses are finished.
