Hi I have been on Wegovy for 16weeks and stayed on the lowest dose (0.25) happy with suppression and slow weight loss. I was thinking of upping the dose as suppression has lessened. I have had sporadic pain and bloating if I have eaten something fatty. This week however I have bloated even after a bland meal and been in so much pain until I have vomited. Yesterday I just wanted to give it all up and today thought ok let’s continue with bland food but I am in a lot of discomfort again with stomach gas build up. Should I come off everything and give up my dreams of reaching a healthy weight. I have around 4 stones to lose.

Have you tried otc medication for bloating at all? What does your prescriber suggest?

I definitely wouldn’t increase your dose if you are constantly in pain and vomiting. I would consider not taking another injection until those symptoms lessen. The lack of suppression is a secondary issue, the side effects you are experiencing should be the main focus.

Would you consider trying Mounjaro instead maybe? The risk of side effects is meant to be less than with Wegovy.

I would stop, immediately, this doesn’t sound right at all and I’d see a doctor.

I have some omerperazole which I will take once the sickness subsides. I will stop taking the injections next one was due at the weekend but I cannot tolerate these symptoms.
I am just a bit confused why the bloating just started so dramatically as the last 4 months have seemed effortless. Maybe more sugar and fat has crept in.

It really doesn’t seem right does it. I am just surprised it has suddenly become an issue when I haven’t changed doses. I will stop taking anything and check with the gp if things don’t settle.

It could be gallbladder.
