Vegetarian meal ideas for if I start using Wegovy pills?

I'm thinking of trying Wegovy pills. People who are on them, what do you eat? I'm vegetarian. I've lost a stone on the New You plan but am having trouble sticking to it. I appreciate that I can't stay on plan and use weight loss pills, so would love some suggestions of suitable veggie meals! Thanks :)

@FallenAngel74 I’m taking Mounjaro at the moment, but I guess it’s similar. I’m vegetarian too. I don’t know much about New You but it seems to be a total meal replacement thing, is that right? If it’s nutritionally complete and you are used to having it then I don’t see why you couldn’t continue with eating that? At least to begin with. You could then try moving to having one meal a day that’s not a meal replacement. If you eat eggs, then they can be a quick easy source of protein. An omelette and any veg or salad that you like for example. Tofu, seitan, tempeh etc can all be the basis for a meal, along with Quorn if you like it. Cottage cheese is low fat and has a decent amount of protein - it can be a quick lunch with salad.

You can get microwave packets of pulses eg merchant gourmet or similar which again are a quick and easy lunch/dinner.

Hopefully some of that is helpful!

I’ve been on MJ. For breakfast I’ve had blueberries, strawberries and grapes with Greek yogurt and chia seeds every day (I love it!).
For lunch - often salad with tons of leaves, peppers and toms In balsamic vinegar and feta cheese, sometimes cottage cheese on seeded brown toast, sometimes homemade veg soup (butternut and sweet potato is a fave).
Evening meals- sometimes salad, sometimes baked pot with cottage cheese, sometimes whole meal pasta with ratatouille, sometimes homemade veg curry or chilli with brown rice. Sometimes omelettes with feta and packed with veg. Things like that. I’ve not had much suppression and have eaten big portions but with lots of fruit and vegetables. I love what I’ve been eating and feel I can continue it in the future.

So easy- high protein meals like veggie scrambled eggs & avocado, Haloumi salad with rocket/pistachio, Tuscan bean soup, tofu stir fry, greek salad with feta, lentil soup…

Thank you guys, some great ideas!

@SilenceInside it's not recommended to be on New You if you're on jabs or pills, as apparently being in ketosis whilst using them can make you really not hungry and you won't get the nutrients you need (badly paraphrased!)

New You seem to be happy to offer their products to people using GLP1s

Not that I’m suggesting that you should stay on these products. It’s probably better to move over to food rather than meal replacements, but I don’t think you actually have to.

Meal replacement products are unhealthy at the best of times but as a very short kick start to dieting, they do work. I did the Cambridge diet years ago and lost a stone.

However, you really shouldn’t take them when on WLI as you’re not getting enough proper fibre and it’s essential to increase your fibre and fluids to ensure you have regular bowel movements.
