New Mounjaro Oral Medication

Foundayo is the new weight loss pill being released by Eli Lilly, the manufacturers of Mounjaro. It will rival the wegovy oral medication but with apparently better results. Just found out about it last night. Eager to find out more.

It is a completely different drug to Mounjaro/tirzepatide.

Wegovy tablets performed better in trials than foundayo. But foundayo is easier to take with no fasting requirements.

There are a few threads already discussing on this board as the release date was announced a week or so ago. Would be worth trying to find them.

In the US where both are available and have been for a while, the sales of Wegovy tablets still massively outweighs the numbers taking Foundayo. As the PP has said, Foundayo does not have better results, it's slightly less effective than the Wegovy tablets.

I am curious about real world individual experiences with this new GLP1, and may be interested in it for long term maintenance after losing the weight via Mounjaro.

That’s not right op. It is by the same manufacturers, is a very different drug and it is less effective than the wegovy pill.

you really need to at least google before posting misinformation

Foundayo is the least effective drug for actual weight loss and I don’t think Lilly are promoting it for primary weight loss either.

It seems to be aimed more at people who have lost a substantial amount of weight using Mounjaro etc. and are moving onto a maintenance plan.
