Referral codes - am I allowed to give them?

Hi - apologies as I’m not a regular user of the board but if someone asks for a referral code are we allowed to give them? Obviously I benefit as well as the other person

No, MN will delete the post as it is seen as advertising of medication which isn't legal. Also, the T&Cs for the codes usually say that they are only for sharing with genuine friends and family, not strangers on the Internet.

I didn’t know until I made a post about it that people aren’t allowed to PM them to each other - I just thought we weren’t allowed to share them in the open forum.

@Trumptontown I guess it's down to what @RenegadeKeeblerElf said about the legalities but also about the Ts and Cs of the pharmacies that you are supposed to only share with actual friends and family. The whole advertising of medicines is a bit of a minefield I think.

There used to be a warning from MNHQ at the top of the WLI board about not sharing codes but its been replaced by the wording about not taking medical advice

Online suppliers will often ask you confirm the full name and email address of people who you share codes with, either as the giver or receiver. So if you are happy to share those details with a stranger then you could do, but MN won't let you share codes on here.
