I lost more than 3 stone on Mounjaro and got down to a healthy weight. I felt great, got rid of old clothes and bought a new wardrobe. Decided to trial coming off, thinking I had developed really good habits and could maintain the weight lost. But in the space of a few weeks I have put on 7lbs. I can't stop thinking about food and the old habits of eating without even thinking, overindulging, and craving the wrong foods are all back. I am a totally different person without it. So I have restarted Mounjaro. Just feeling a bit down that I thought I could do this myself but clearly I really need the help!

I am maintaining and recently went down to 2mg/week, it’s been ok so far, but I need to work with it. I’ll give it a few months then reduce further again. Taking it very slow.

Long term plan is to attempt to stop at some point, but I think I will probably be the same as you and need it for long term support. It sometimes feels like it is all me doing this now, but I know, realistically, it probably isn’t.

Im not on WLI and im trying to lose weight and im realising this is for life too. I just like eating and like food and have a very healthy appetite eg. I can eat too much without trying too hard. Some times im just hungry but I tell myself im waiting for dinner etc. I've realised I need to keep being disciplined or I'll eat what I fancy.

I think losing weight is for life.

@Followthesunshine what dose were you on and did you stop abruptly, or gradually decrease your dose?

I was fortunate to be very reactive so have only really been on 2.5mg. I had a very short period of being on 5mg but it was too much for me so I was back to 2.5mg for about 6 months before I trialled coming off it.

@Followthesunshine you could perhaps try coming off more slowly, going down to 2mg for a few weeks, then 1.25mg.
