Hi All,
Looking for advice …. My children contracted what is possibly Norovirus or gastroenteritis and began being symptomatic Tuesday night they were poorly until Thursday afternoon. I thought I’d dodged it then had painful stomach high temperature bad headache and loose stool on Thursday afternoon worse Friday but the diarrhoea issue is the same . I have looked and it says mounjaro drags out the stomach bug due to slowing the digestion I’ve already missed 2 work days and they won’t be happy if I miss tomorrow as they know the timeline of my kids illness. Has anyone else had this problem . What’s the best option to get it out of the system safely ? I’m guessing I will have to tell my supervisor I’m on the jabs . 😩

MJ definitely does slow down digestion but I don't know if that will mean slowing down getting the virus out of your system.

However you don't have to tell anyone anything about the jabs if you don't want to. Any kind of bug is unpredictable so you will be ill as long as you're ill and you can't help it. I'm sure they would rather you stay home than spread it around. They can't complain when you're genuinely ill.

You just have to tell your supervisor that you're still got a stomach bug. People process illness at different rates and it's not at all unusual for children to bounce back more quickly than adults. Your employer isn't entitled to your entire medical history just because you take a few days off sick.

Thank you for your replies . They have been very supportive and sympathetic. I have been given another 3 days to recover and assured I can have more if needed 🙂
