Private dermatologist for hair loss?

Has anyone seen a private dermatology consultant for hair loss after weight loss on weight loss injections?

I’m considering making an appointment but wondering what they would do and whether I’d be better getting blood tests for vitamin deficiencies first or just trying minoxidil.

My hair loss is not extreme, mainly I just don’t want to lose any more and would ideally like to lose another half to one stone or so.

Has anyone had a positive experience seeing a private consultant? Or with any other approach?

Hi, I did initially but now it’s so easy to get an otal
minxodil prescription online, I’d just do that instead. I get mine from the hair repair clinic, £90 for 6 months worth.

A dermatologist can assess the cause of your hair loss and advise on the most appropriate treatment.

The alternative is trial and error, but most hair loss treatments need up to a year before you know whether they work,so it can end up being a lot of wasted time, effort and money.

If you already know the trigger was Mounjaro, I wouldn’t go down the minoxidil route.
