Started Mounjaro today and already wondering whether to stop

Oh god so I took Mounjaro today for the first time and I’m regretting it already. I just feel really nervous about putting something in my body. My friend has said you cannot drink alcohol on it and it stays in your system for 30 days after taking it. I will definitely want to drink wine on holiday in August with no restrictions or anxiety of how many glasses I’m having! Now I’m regretting starting it and thinking of just stopping after that one dose and losing weight the old fashioned way. Exercise and eating less. God I’m annoyed I even thought it was a good idea!
has anyone else done the same, am I just panicking? Am I over reacting 🥴🥴🥴

You might find that the monjaro has a positive affect on your anxiety OP.

As for drinking, my experience was that I didn't really want to drink on it. Maybe a glass or two of wine, but no more than that really. It turns off the impulse in your brain for booze as well as for food in my experience.

As others have said, it’s more like you just don’t fancy much alcohol. I still drink but nowadays I find that after one glass of wine or cocktail, I just don’t fancy another.

I see this as a good thing. No more empty calories!

Why don't you speak to your prescriber rather than your friend? Of course you can drink alcohol - I do regularly!
