24 hours until next jab. Does anyone else start to feel snackish?

Yes, it’s normal. If it’s Mounjaro then half of the medication is out of your system in 5 days, if it’s Wegovy then half of the medication is out of your system after 7 days. So towards the end of the week the effects can lessen. It should be less noticeable once you’ve been on the same dose for at least 4 weeks, as after that the peaks and troughs are more even.

Mounjaro. Tomorrow is sixth 5mg

If you use a dose plotter like Shotsy, Dose Diary or one of the online ones you can see the peaks and troughs of the medication and see if that correlates to the effects lessening.

I remember when it first came out reading that in the trials people were taking it every five days but they found that people were forgetting so they trialled it with seven days because it’s no good if people aren’t taking it because they forget.

That’s interesting. Although I do find the first couple of days the suppression is quite strong so maybe a few extra calories at the end of the week evens out.

^ this is so interesting! Yes it does feel like it works on a 5 day cycle for me and last 48 hours the effect is lessened

I’m the same strong early suppression and eat more towards the end of the week. I think this is good so my body doesn’t start to eat too much muscle

Why would your body eat muscle? That only happens if you don’t consume enough protein and don’t strength train.

Because when I so it’s a strong food suppressant to me … it is I feel like I can barely eat

HappyWineDay · 11/06/2026 12:53

I sometimes feel a bit picky towards the seventh day. For this reason, I inject on a Friday morning, so that I'm at work at the end of the cycle, where there are fewer opportunities to succumb!

PearlsTeapot · 11/06/2026 13:46

I can eat loads more on day 6 and 7, which is the weekend for me. I don't mind it as I calorie cycle so deliberately eat more on those days. I am barely hungry on days 1-3, moderately on 4-5.

QueenStevie · 11/06/2026 19:24

Definitely day 5 for me. I'm feeling snackish today!

ShrankLastWinter · 11/06/2026 22:06

I take 2.5mg twice a week (Sun evening and Thu morning) instead of 5mg once a week for this reason.

lilibetspet · 11/06/2026 22:25

I have never noticed a difference. I did a year on 2.5mg and the past six months on 5mg.
