Hair loss - any tips?

I've been on Mounjaro since the end of Jan and have lost 17kg. I've started to notice more hair loss in the past couple of weeks. I already take collagen and the well woman max multivitamins.

Any tips to stop further hair loss?

I'm going to start tapering down over the next two pens and then stopping entirely (no maintenance dose due to planning to try to conceive). Is the hair likely to grow back when I stop?

Thanks!

Biotin would be a good one to add in, and lots of people recommend rosemary oil treatments too

It’s the weight loss, although people will argue it’s the meds itself, they have tested and there is no proven direct link between the drugs and hair loss. And it is not seen in patients who don’t lose weight, ie diabetics.

there is nothing you can do, try Philip Kingsley hair density range, his products are fantastic, but the reality is your hair follicles have closed, and you will lose hair, you won’t go bald, and it will grow back when your weight stablises.

the issue there is you’ve got to let the new growth reach the same length so habe to manage it during that process.

I lost a lot of hair while losing on Mounjaro, and assumed it was due to the weight loss. It continued after I stopped taking the meds/losing weight, and turns out I have a B12 deficiency which is more likely to blame. Might be worth looking into.

I’ve been using Hair and Me for about six months and my hair is thicker than it has ever been (I haven’t treated the B12 deficiency yet, so I can attribute the improvement to the minoxidil). Definitely recommend it.

This was me last year. Started in Jan ‘25 and had lost 5 stone by June. Loads fell out. Nothing I could do about it. All growing back now. Lost another stone afterwards but have now maintained since Oct last year.

Thanks - reassuring to know it should all grow back in time!

I'll check out the supplement/product recommendations
