Can I just check how people navigated this? Just ordering through Bolt which I've seen recommended on this board, seemed ok, now they are asking for a scan of my passport. Did that happen to everyone else? Or am I special :) ?!

It’s normal.

SilenceInside · 03/06/2026 19:30

Haven't used Bolt but other pharmacies and have been occasionally asked for ID like this by them. It's not unusual or nefarious, in fact it is good practice to ask for ID when prescribing online and not having a face to face consultation. The pharmacies should be able to show they have practices in place that mean they are prescribing to who they are supposed to be prescribing to.

Nugg · 03/06/2026 19:31

Normal with mine

madeinthe80z · 03/06/2026 19:51

Yes they legally have to validate your identity so it proves it is you purchasing. I had to take a picture of my driving license or passport for one provider and another provider asked for a picture of me holding it

notantordec · 03/06/2026 19:53

It’s totally normal

lilibetspet · 03/06/2026 20:09

Yes normal to provide ID for WLI

Sunnyskiesa · 03/06/2026 20:56

I only trust pharmacies that ask for ID. You understand that they are following the rules of dispensing. If they don’t ask, I will not complete the order as they could be cowboys.

Jennalong · 03/06/2026 21:09

Believe it or not I don't have a passport but I am with them . I used my driving license.
If you haven't got a refer code if you send me a pm I can share mine .

DecisionTime123 · 04/06/2026 00:28

Thank you all. it's now talking about sharing my details with "Fella Health" which seems to be a weight loss programme sold in Australia?

If you feel that Bolt are dodgy then you don’t need to use them. As far as I can tell Bolt are the pharmacy that Fella Health use to fulfil their prescriptions. Fella Health have a UK website which is for weight loss aimed at men. You can see on that website that they use Bolt to actually prescribe and dispense medication. It’s not an unusual model, for example Asda use the pharmacy Zava to prescribe and dispense medication, but you can also deal directly with Zava.

notantordec · 06/06/2026 16:43

I get mine from Asda but it’s supplied by a 3rd party

Tried to go with Bolt in the end reassured by info from posters thank you, and there's been a glitch in their system I've had to be refunded twice now, the app isn't working, they keep saying trying again - have tried on a laptop too, no luck. I am thinking I'll have to find the next cheapest place but don't understand why I can't get through the "booking" system to submit photos.
