Feeling really unwell Wegovy 1mg; any advice?

I started Wegovy in March, side effects have been manageable though not pleasant, but since going up to 1mg, I feel really unwell and don't know what to do.

  • so tired; no energy to do anything
  • feel nauseous
-constipated -indigestion; reflux
  • can't really eat at all; the thought of eating makes me feel sick; couldn't even finish 1 cup of tea today.

I've lost over a stone but not feeling happy and I'm considering stopping. I have 4 more stone to lose.

I did message the doctor at Asda where I ordered from but just got a long copy pasted reply that told me nothing helpful.

Wouldn’t you just move back down a dose rather than stop?

You don't have to move up every month. I would go back down and only move up if appetite is visibly higher for 2-3 weeks on the current dose and it becomes hard to lose any more weight. Your body gets more time to adjust and maybe the next dose increase won't be having such a negative effect.

1mg was definitely the point where Wegovy started feeling a lot harsher for me too 😞 the tiredness and nausea especially. I actually used the check-ins through my medical service quite a bit around then because I genuinely wasn’t sure if I should continue. Small meals and lots of water helped a bit, but honestly don’t force yourself through if you feel really unwell.

This is not an ad, but I’ve found the Wellguard supplements to be really helpful. The multivitamin has an ingredient that helps with sulphur breakdown so you don’t get that nausea feeling. And I take the high fibre gummies, as well as magnesium citrate each night to stop feeling bloated / backed up.
not cheap, I buy them as a bundle on TikTok when they have a sale.
been a game changer for me.

also I recommend going down a dose, and the second you think you might have eaten enough. Stop eating. Not even one more bite.
drink lots and lots of water

My reply has been hidden as I recommend a multivitamin that has an ingredient that helps with sulphur that stoops nausea

I absolutely hated 1mg and moved to 1.7mg after 4 weeks and had no side effects on this. Don’t give up, just change your dose. I’m 1lb away from goal, having lost 4st 13lbs since October 2025.
